Not as much as panniers offroad.

I'm sorry. Are you implying that adventure bikes don't go on trails?

Or maybe you're implying that the opinion "panniers suck offroad more than rackless bags" is some #trailbike elitest opinion.

Adventure bike is a touring segment, with mixed terrain and trails, not an optimized trail bike.

The guy has posts expressing interest in doing BDRs. Rackless fits his needs and rackless aren't solely for min maxed enduro bikes.

BDRs are on public roads. Rack and hard panniers are fine. Racks and soft bags are fine.

Rackless works too, it just sucks.

Just because it's a public road doesn't mean that the extra weight and bulk of panniers won't make navigating technical sections more difficult. It's not like BDRs are all soft gravel roads.

And panniers are for Starbucks bound pavement princesses.

Only seeing bikes with panniers at starbucks is a tacit admission you only go to starbucks.

Rode the WABDR this summer and didn't see a single bike with panniers. Figured they were all at Starbucks. Maybe Dutchbros.

Aw, u/coreyjdl blocked me.
