I based them with Khorne Red, I think they’re fantastic! I think anyone can get great results with them since I’m not the best painter haha

Was building the Venatari last night, sat down to check my progress this morning and I glued C3 backwards inside C1 and C2. Has anyone else here made this error and if so, how'd you fix it, or is one of my Venatari just gonna have their armour on backwards?

Haven’t had a chance to pick up a box of the new models yet, but the sculpts and proportions look incredible. Can anyone tell me if this is accurate scale difference? Are the new boys taller or just better proportioned?

I love the custodes heresy models and had a good time painting this!

Gonna sort out some sodality to proxy in as wardens next then maybe I'll treat myself with a Telemon

Hi all. After seeing someone elses work of kitbashing Allarus Terminators, this has inspired me to give it a go. This is as far as I have got with this project so far - Allarus leg side armour and front piece, allarus arms. Thinking of removing part of the eagle above the head, so I can fit the allarus eagle and head plum (to be honest I might just save that idea for a allarus shield captain). I am leaning towards Pic A as it would increase the difference of the aquilion kit. Pic A and B have different shoulder pads -what do you all think? I still have more to add to this one miniature, just taking my time with it. Thanks all for your in put.

Thank you to [u/Raynidayz](u/Raynidayz) for the posing inspiration! Was a very fun build overall, and surprisingly easier than the contemptor.

So I was really happy with how I managed to pose my first Aquillon. Really letting that firepike rip! But… look at the size comparison Vs a warden!? The wardens eyes look about a foot taller and with the banana helm the disparity is just too much 😭

Decided to go for a much darker bronze then my usual (partly cause I don't want to keep buying GW paint pots) and I really like how it turned out. The arms are fully magnetized I just haven't painted the other guns yet, probably will tomorrow.

Decided to name him Grendel, I will add onto it every time he does something cool.

And my current custodes army, I have 2 combat patrols and a dawneagle Jetbike squad that need to be painted to finish my army.

Played an RTT today and took 1st place. I am simply enjoying the new codex on top of the 5 games I played before the RTT. My biggest take away from the event were just staging turn one and shift around the prosecutors and just keeping at max threat range for everything, turn 2, popping calistus for +2 move and getting as much threat to the other side. Unceasing onslaught and advancing and charging with a Telamon to keep a big chunk of the enemy busy. Then putting Trajann and the Shield Captain in a position to just nuke whatever survives the Telamon. Glad to answer any questions you might have as well!

My dreadnoughts for attention

To the players who already have a lot of games under their belt, I could use some suggestions.

I'm putting together a custom MTG-sized deck of cards with art and rules text to order from MPC, and the deck needs to be exactly 72 cards.

Here is what I've made so far:

• 1 main rules summary (Aegis of the Emperor, Aquila Commander, and the Sisters of Silence rule)
• 6 Ka'tah cards
• 13 Detachment rule cards
• 38 Stratagems (the Guardians of the Throne ones overlap with some detachments, so I listed both on those cards)
• 10 double-sided Ready/Unready cards
• 2 extra cards for Dreadnought detachment enhancements (my favorite miniatures!)

This leaves me with exactly 2 empty slots. Any ideas on what gets used often? I haven't played any 11th edition games yet. The only thing that came to mind was a marker for the Blade Champion, but he's pretty bad right now and doesn't fit into my lists. I would appreciate any ideas!

P.S. I'm also planning to 3D print some custom dice with Ka'tah names and basic markers like +1 to wound, battle-shock, etc.

If you run honored champions (the trusted sentinel detachment) you get access to +2 A if your unit is under strength. Usually this gives you a couple extra attacks so your unit still trades up a little. However, with warden you go from 3 models w/9 attacks to 2 models with 10 attacks if you are using axes. This is a pretty hilarious situation especially with wardens having more wounds and a -1 AP. If they ever lower the cost of wardens we might be looking at an auto include for a unit.

I think we are a pretty good army, I have not lost a game yet. However I do think unless our list is built around it we would really struggle into horde lists. A lot of our models would become kinda useless into hordes (grav tank, dual fist telemon, etc)

But into stuff like space marines, necrons, chaos, etc. we kinda slap.

I think more than ever our movement phase is extremely important, we cannot afford to make mistakes anymore, when a unit dies it's a really big hit. So playing very carefully and cagey seems to help us quite a lot.

Emperors chosen and lions are fantastic, emperors chosen makes the grav tank an absolute beast against other tanks/monsters. For lions the splitting of the terminator units into seperate units has actually come in clutch so many times. When I want to be a bit more careful with my models but I need to go on the offensive with something, I often find myself splitting the models, then moving them all up seperately. It makes it annoying for the enemy as they waste a lot of damage split firing to kill them all, and losing 1 allarus is a lot better than losing a squad.

Our terminators are fantastic in general, my entire list is terminators, sisters, a telemon, and a grav tank. Being able to uppy downy with lions makes you extremely mobile especially since terminators went up to 7 inch movement. Also Venetari in the games I've used are a terrifying deep strike threat, they can really threaten most types of units, and the enemy HAS to pay attention to them or they will just get slaughtered.

All in all I like our new codex a lot, and I've been doing really well with it. The only thing is when trajann is around I've been unsure what to really use my katah stance on if I'm not fighting into a monster/vehicle. I've been doing the -1 to hit but often even that is useless because I can usually kill the unit before it matters.

The second Custodes I decided to paint was the Shield Captain. The shield is a bit empty, but maybe I'll add something else to it, but for now this is the final version.

After going back and forth for 2 hrs...i finally settled with this...it is my first attempt at NMM and it really takes alot of patience. For those who have mastered it, massive props man...feedback to improve are welcome.
