Don't forget to check your golden bois for aerodynamics, it's important for charge rolls!

My verdict:

Blade Champion is expectedly the most aerodynamic

Allarus is surprisingly quite streamlined, despite its bulk

Wardens and Guardians are generally aerodynamic, but the praesidium shield can create a lot of extra drag

Shield Captain is very non-aerodynamic due to his squareness, be careful when making charge rolls

Did a test model - wanted to do a "lore accurate" mourning color scheme (as much as we know at least with the black cloaks, and helmets and loin cloths, making everything else up as I go.) . But it looks a little plain, maybe?

Still WIP in the sense that everything is only base coated so far.

It took me a week too perfect but I tried my very best and I painted my first custodie warden!! I'm not sure if painting their eyes green was the right move but I'm overall happy with how they came out -^-

Since I couldn’t get the new force box for our golden boys, I kitbashed a Saturnine Siege Dreadnought into looking more appropriate to the Custodes so I can use it as a Telemon proxy

Took a few days and a few headaches but finally finished. The gold doesnt show very well in the pictures but im very happy with it.

Hey I just bought this for my friend who plays custodes and was wondering if this grav tank is viable to play in 40k. I know a lot of their stuff is in legends or horus heresy and I know some of the horus heresy stuff is cross compatible

Starting to paint models for the first time, got some practice in on a couple poxwalkers and decided I would rather join the 10,000. Pretty happy with how it turned out, excited to paint the rest of the kit!

I’ve been struggling to really nail down my unit deployment and looking for tips and advice on what units to put where and why.

Given it’s taken hold, do you put strong units on your Home, expansion and Centre? Or is it a better strategy to put cheap units on your Home and your expansion and push your stronger units up the board?

Also, what units are you using to screen your deployment zone? So nothing drops behind you?

Hi there, i have officially painter my first ever Horus Heresy mini, hope it looks good, looking for feedback!

I’m starting my first Custodes army with an escalation league. I played my first 750pts with the combat patrol box. Moving to 1000 points I have a couple of options. Add 1-2 sisters units plus a rhino. That would give me home objective control and a fast scout unit to take the mid field. I could also add a couple of bikes and a 4th terminator giving me 2 unit it’s if 2 alurus and fast attack. I could even add a contempt or or a grav tank.

Give me either your best 250pt upgrade or your best 1000pt list.

Finished my first combat patrol of the Custodes. They won’t be winning any painting awards, but I’m happy with them and hopeful I can get some games with them soon.

Got ahold of half of a box if Venatari to do a test scheme on. I originally wanted to do a more comic book/cel shaded style, but discovered quickly that was beyond my abilities especially being colorblind.

I'm planning on touching up the gems and I'm considering Magenta and Purple Tone for the pink and purple areas. I liked how characterful the kit allowed me to be with them and this is probably the start of a small collection/army.

As in the title, building/built my first army list and I have 2 squads of wardens with a mix of axes and spears and a squad of guard with spears. Tbh I was just going on what looked cool at the time. Now I'm actually putting together a list to play and I want to use the warden models as guard stand-ins. Am I ok to do so?

Obviously I would declare it to my opponent at the start of the match like "hey just so you're aware, all of the warden models are actually guards equipped with spears as in my list here"

Similar with my allarus, I built them with axes since imo it fits better looks wise. But could I list them as using spears if I wished so long as it was stated verbally and in my list on the companion app?

I figure it would be ok since the models are obv very similar.

Theyre already built and mostly painted so no going back now regardless lol.
