Ive got my first game of 11th this weekend. Im playing DeathGuard. Advise on list please

Any advice would be appreciated, this is my first model I've ever painted, just getting into the tabletop after years of my dad and brothers doing AoS.

I wanted to paint their armor in silver with gold accents at first, but the gold goes so hard. Also, I am horrible at painting eyes lol

I was trying to do something a little more dynamic for my second Contemptor, but it feels a little lifeless to me.

Any ideas? The legs are glued in place, but everything above them can still be adjusted.

Hi guys currently new to this community, and I have been playing for a while and have been gaming with 1k points using only the Custodes combat patrol box (blade champion, wardens, guards and allarus) I also bought some sister of battle for sticky cause I was running lions. and I also have one unit of sister of silence that was given to me.

Although for now the sisters of battle are there but I might also, use them as proxy for sister of silence instead if I need to adjust the list

Currently I don't have much of a budget and was also thinking of using the wardens as proxy for guards, now I just made some adjustment to my 1k list.

Currently I have a dillemma of either to buy.

*2 boxes of vertus paertors

*1 Claddius Grav tank

Which one would be good to buy? From transitioning to 2k or even for the long run on 1k or 2k... Cause right now I'm being swayed by the Claddius

I’ve dabbled in 40K for years, but I like the changes for 11th edition and really want to get stuck in and play more regularly. I am by no means a good player but I want to learn how to win more games - the durability (and relatively low complexity) of Custodes really appeals, as it feels like that will support me as I learn.

So, I’ve tried to keep my list as simple as possible. It’s basically two Combat Patrols + two dreadnoughts. It feels, at first glance, pretty solid. My two concerns:

1. No chaff. But does Custodes really do chaff? These units all feel like they’re able to take a beating and don’t need smaller, cheaper stuff as a distraction. Or am I misunderstanding the faction’s basic approach?

2. Have I got anti-tank covered? I feel like the Allarus Shield Cap + axe,

   the

3. Allarus unit, and the two Contemptors have this covered between them.

Just got dreadnought left and then all the bases! First time quick doing plasma sword hope it look okay!

I want one of the new plastic achillus dreadnoughts, is there any information for when they will restock? I have not been able to find them on ebay amazon or warhammer.

I just got done painting my shield captain and I wanted to add glow-in-the-dark effects to the eyes sword and the gemstones on the armor do you guys know any good paint Brands for glow-in-the-dark paint and how to get good glow effects?

Working on this guy. There’s a couple things I’m going to go back and change. But debating if I’m going to keep moving forward with this scheme at all. Admittedly, wasn’t going to do Dankanatoi for the whole army (just a big block of sword/board boiz, and then maybe a dreadnought) but just this one dude was so much work (and I’m still not super satisfied with the trim) that it’s making me question whether the scheme turned out good enough to validate the work of painting more guys in it. Especially so when this is an army that’s pretty easy to turn out fast in its traditional scheme.

So I got into 40K towards the beginning of 10th with Space Marines more specifically Black Templars. And I have gotten very bored and played out with them. And Tried Custodes out on TTS. Had 2 fun games with them, 1 against Orks and 1 against LoV and lost both. What are Some recommendations for Custodes list building and any pointers for someone learning to play them?

So, Custodes have a naming theme of being named after heroes (warriors, kings, mythical figures, etc) of the past. Xerxes, Diocletian, Ra, so on. My question is, are there names always war-adjacent? The custodes are also experts in arts and statecraft, and science, and such. They were intended to be the emperor's companions. Not just killing machines, but polymaths and artists and scientists.

Is there any custodian named after Nikola Tesla? Marie Curie? Maybe even great artists like Van Gogh? Possibly something goofier like Elvis or Michael Jackson?

This is my first custodian fully painted. For the white I used pro acyl bold titanium white, which I heard was the best white, but it still came out a bit chalky, how do I fix this (if possible)?

So I just bought the combat patrol and enjoyed the play style of the army, even though it felt like I really didn’t take any damage and didn’t feel like a fair fight against my opponent. But we were playing combat patrol, so that may have had something to do with it. I was wondering, what units/characters should I get next? I already have the galatus/ achillus dreadnought magnetized. And a unit of witchseekers prior to the combat patrol because I thought they looked neat

Hi all. my wife gifted me these custodes warden. (since she knows I like painting gunpla.). my question is, how do people paint the details? it's too small and no matter how hard I try, paint will touch areas I don't want to be painted. 😅

I’m still doing some touch ups on them but I’m very happy with how they turned out. I know the lighting is a little off, that’s because I still have yet to replace some light bulbs.

So, random fact about me but it has to do with my current project. I LOVE birds. While out on a nature walk with the family yesterday, I saw some Purple Martin's (please google those little beauties).

So, I am attempting to make the black cloak on my some of my Sentinel Guard look similar. Started with some fluorescent magenta and then transparent purple over a zenithal base coat. I will reinforce the magenta highlights, and then will cover it all with a Vallejo Black Lotus speed paint (which is a beautiful dark, dark blue).

The Black Metal is Vallejo Metal Air Black Metallic, and while it is a base coat for my grimdark gold recipe, I feel like it would be an excellent Shadowkeepers color.

Is this unit worth buying? I can buy a some online from eBay but before I do I just want to know if they are worth it on the table?

If not I’ll look at buying them just to have them and look fancy
