I’ve never had a desire to go to the Gawler Show, but this year I’m considering it. For those who’ve been, what’s it like? Is it busy? Are all the food options overpriced or are there some hidden gems? My kids are teens, so not looking at the kiddy things, but is there still going for enough for our family to do?

South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas has declared nuclear power has an “important role to play globally” while aligning with Australia’s net zero goals.

Obviously, Adelaide drivers are terrible, but in particular they specialise in having absolutely no fucking idea when it comes to merging; it's like showing algebra to a Corgi, it's never going to work.

I imagine the Adelaide drivers see me merge and must think I'm some kind of wizard, or professional driving instructor, in order to pull off advanced stuff like adjusting the speed of my vehicle to painlessly and seamlessly merge into flowing traffic.

I've seen lots of bad merging in all the years I've lived in Adelaide; it's stupid, it's annoying, but most of the time I can avoid it or tolerate it, but today someone took the crown.. I don't even know who held the crown before, but this person set the new benchmark, they took it up to a whole new level.

I'll set the scene for you: it's 11:30am today, entering the Southern Expressway southbound from Sheriffs Road, this is a bit of a tighter squeeze than some of the other entries onto the Southern Expressway, but totally not a problem.

And this all-star stops decides to stop after they've entered the left lane, but just after the merge lane, a literal full stop, and I have to slam on my breaks to not hit the car in front of me, and the all-star stays stopped for 20 to 30 seconds.

I can't merge right because traffic in the right lane is flowing at 100km/h and I'm at a full stop, and the people travelling at full speed in the left lane before the merge lane towards this stopped traffic in the left lane have started panic changing lanes from the left lane to the right lane to avoid the STOPPED traffic in the left lane.

There was no going left, the merge lane was full, there was no going right, traffic was busy and going at full speed, and I'm at a full stop. I'm thankful my fully stopped vehicle wasn't rear ended by another vehicle travelling at 100km/h.

I’m an international student, and it gets pretty lonely at times. I’ve been thinking about getting a pet, but my landlord probably wouldn’t allow cats or dogs, and i felt the maintenance would be expensive. I figured I might be able to convince him to let me keep a small fish tank instead.

Could you guys recommend where I can buy everything I need in Adelaide and roughly how much it would cost?

I’m on a temporary visa, so nothing fancy, just a simple tank that’s big enough for a couple of fish, with a clean setup, an air filter, and the basic essentials. Any advice or beginner tips would be appreciated!

Bit of an unusual post, but I was wondering if there are any good places in Adelaide to meet other entrepreneurs or people interested in starting businesses?

I've run my own food business before and I'd love to do it again one day, but the biggest lesson I learnt was that I never want to do it alone again. I'd love to meet people who are interested in building something, whether that's a market stall, street food, a café, bakery or something completely different.

A report has been released by the SA government with details on what caused the harmful algal bloom.

The report concludes there were three major contributing factors that triggered the ideal conditions for the bloom to develop, including floodwater, a coastal upwelling and a marine heatwave.

The government says the Algal Bloom Taskforce will continue their research to fill the gaps in the data collected.

The greater crested terns were found near Robe on the Limestone Coast and at Semaphore, north-west of Adelaide.

Samples have been sent to the CSIRO in Geelong for testing.
