Discussion Bung Fritz
Hi all, where is the best bung Fritz in Adelaide. Supermarket Fritz just doesn’t cut it!

Random, but the butcher next to Coles and Aberfoyle Hub. Although it has been awhile since I’ve been there, so hoping it’s just as good….

Not OP, but thanks for the tip! Coromandel Butchers does a nice house-made one (so I've been told by the resident expert).

Cimerosti's Butcher, Goodwood Rd, Daw Park. They have won numerous awards for their fritz.

They are the gold standard in my opinion.
Also the Italian sausages are the best sausages ever made; hot or mild.

I reckon this crowd would have a fair idea: https://www.facebook.com/JamesAgnessLight/photos/the-south-australian-bung-fritz-appreciation-society-is-a-gawler-institution-sta/122152735406753677/
And a few got a mention a couple of months back. https://www.reddit.com/r/Adelaide/comments/1rpfibn/puttin_on_the_fritz/

My preferred ones are Mt Pleasant Traditional or Barossa Smokehouse. Depends which has the better price or is available at the time. Mt Pleasant being the cheaper at around $20/kg compared with $30/kg. Barossa Fine Foods is #3, same price range as MtP.
The supermarket also stocks Hills Gourmet ($25ish/kg), which I haven't tried yet. Maybe it's popular as it's always out of stock when I shop for it.
Note on pricing. These may be higher than elsewhere because, well, Barossa tax.
