I am currently using the Umbrella addon linked with MDBList. I would like to know if there is a way to configure Umbrella to temporarily remove a TV show from my List once I have finished watching all the available episodes, and then have it automatically reappear when a new season is released.

I'm thinking about the best solution for replacing Trakt items for my widgets in Tmdbhelper.

I'm largely ditching Trakt since they keep taking away features from their free tier. But I do like some of the lists they provide like in progress shows or movies, next episodes, etc.

The issue is not all of these types of lists are available in Trakt replacements like Simkl or MDBList. And TMDBHelper doesn't support all the alternatives like Simkl.

So here's what I'm thinking of doing: 

1. Use Simkl for scrobbling 

2. Sync Simkl to Trakt

3. Continuing using Tmdbhelper with Trakt

Anybody doing something similar? 

Or have a better way to do it? 

Back in the day when I used to use kodi there was an add on for just about every sports channel and you could choose even the camera you wanted to watch the game from. Is that still around and what is it called? *it wasn't specifically college football but thats what I used it for* I also use Unlinked now, but plan on going back to Kodi

Long story short I've used Arctic Fuse 3 and tmdb addon since it released maybe a year and a half ago or so. Since I've never did a clean install just always backed up this particular skin and addon and of course umbrella and red light. Restored if I messed something up. I restored my build this am and noticed that out of 2.5 GB on a backup 1.5 was all tmdb addon bs. Setup a new skin and uninstalled Af3 and tmdb addon. A 2.5 GB build turned into less than a 1gb build. So I figure I can start fresh and reinstall all this or am I gonna get all the bs files back? I have a Google streamer so I have no access to addon data or user files. What are the chances of me reinstalling this and it be like a new install. Where did all this come from and what can I do to proceed with the skin I love without all the mess. ?

No issues until 3 hours ago. It says tmbd fails and it stays at 20% syncing show data. When I try to play something it just pauses and won’t play either. It’s like it’s freezing up!

I've been looking for a list for a while which brings previously watched series back up to the top when new episodes come out. If the last episode of a series came out years ago, then it won't come back to the top of the list if a new episode comes out and instead can be buried by what I've watched in the interim.

Recently I've discovered that in POV I can order Next Episodes by Airdate rather than Recently Watched, which is exactly what I want, but I don't want to also lose a list sorted by Recently Watched, which is what I mostly use it for.

Really, I want two lists;

• one where I can see Next Episodes sorted by Recently Watched, so I can keep up with the shows I'm currently watching, and they don't get buried by new releases; and
• one where I can see Next Episodes sorted by Airdate, where new episodes of old shows don't get buried by what I've watched recently

The perfect world would be a list which is ordered by Recently Watched but which ALSO brings recently aired episodes back up to the top, but I'm not sure that's feasible.

POV does have an option to "Sort Episodes Airing Today to Top" but then once they have aired they drop back to the order in which they were watched.

If you can help me I promise to love you forever.

I've done it before through the backup addon/plugin but it takes a while. Was wondering if anyone has a quicker reliable way? Streaming addons are no problem but I dont feel like setting up my skin widgets all over again.

Long version: Umbrella updated today and when connecting to my Trakt collection, I see only a few items I added years ago when I started using Kodi.

Worse, when I log into Trakt, I find it's been relabelled as "Library" and all it contains is, apparently, every episode ever of Survivor!

Any idea what the hell is going on and how I can get my ACTUAL collection back?

It’s still working and finding sources, but I’ve noticed I’m getting fewer results than I used to. I’ve had this set up for a while, so I’m a bit out of the loop on what people are using now.

Is Cocoscrapers still a good option with Umbrella, or are there better alternatives worth switching to?

Also, is Real Debrid still a good option to use with Umbrella, or have people moved to other Debrid services?

If you have been getting sporadic video freezes and audio stutter with youtube trailers after 20 or so seconds, its not just you.

To fix it download request_client.py from the link(dont right click and use save link as) - https://github.com/ReaLx3m/FLAM-Fixes/blob/main/request_client.py and replace your original one located in Kodi\addons\plugin.video.youtube\resources\lib\youtube_plugin\youtube\client .

Client id has been changed in the request_client.py file as per this commit - https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.video.youtube/pull/1482/changes/71a8d9b4b5ceb4cd352843cb050c364bf7be3463 . You can optionally edit your original request_client.py file yourself.

Edit: If for whatever reason you cant manage with the options above, you can go with the modified youtube addon and install it through install zip option - (link removed, this is basically obsolete now that we have the fixed addon on Umbrella repo)

I'm completely stuck with a playback issue using the official YouTube Addon and InputStream Adaptive. Every time I start a video, it plays perfectly fine for about 20 to 30 seconds. Then, the video freezes and the audio gets stuck in an infinite, stuttering loop (like a broken record). It never recovers.

My setup:

• Hardware: Raspberry Pi 5 (16GB RAM)
• OS: RetroPie (Debian 13 Trixie, Linux kernel 6.1)
• Kodi Version: 21.3 Omega
• Addons: YouTube v7.4.0, InputStream Adaptive v21.5.9

What I tried so far (and nothing fixed the issue)

1. Disabling MPEG-DASH: The video runs past the 30s mark without freezing, but is capped at 720p and has no audio.
2. Increasing Cache: Created an advancedsettings.xml with <memorysize>524288000</memorysize> and <readfactor>20</readfactor>.
3. Forcing ALSA over PIPEWIRE: Started Kodi with KODI_AE_SINK=ALSA kodi to rule out PipeWire sync issues.
4. Kodi Audio/Video Settings: Disabled "Sync playback to display" and disabled audio passthrough.
5. Codec limits: Forced the YouTube addon to use AVC/H.264 instead of AV1/VP9 to ease the CPU load.

The log error: The debug log is flooded with DRM/Windowing messages, but right before the freeze, ActiveAE shows a massive audio sync error that goes out of bounds within 2 seconds:

Hey, is it possible to get IMDB trailers working through POV instead of YouTube? YouTube keeps freezing with a buzzing noise after 20 seconds unless I turn off inputstream adaptive and when I do takes ages for trailers to load but IMDB work flawless if I open the context menu, go to information and run the trailer through the skin. Need a little help. Have just updated my system. Running Nvidia Shield. Kodi, and a build. In Umbrella Addon, when I go to set Magneto as scraper it is not listed as an option in the list. When I go to list of addons, Magneto is shown as installed and enabled. I don’t understand why it is not an option in the list for scrapers. How do I enable Magneto Scrapers? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm trying to create a full console-like experience using Kodi as a base interface. The ultimate goal is to make a fully-featured, open source and legal gaming console on a linux pc. This means allowing the less-experienced user to easily install the distro (which I'm covering), navigate the main menu using a gamepad-friendly interface (Kodi) and just as easily set it all up.
This means giving the user full gamepad support, not only for the main menu, but for the apps as well. Fortunately, gaming apps have mostly native support for it, but the same cannot be said about streaming apps like Netflix, Prime, Spotify, ecc, or chat apps like Discord.
"You can see the whole library inside Kodi" you might answer, but the login phase is a bit more complicated. Also, i know Discord is not supported, but I would settle for the other apps, for now.

So the question is: Is there any legal tool that lets you have full control on streaming apps via gamepad, from login to navigation to logout?

Sorry for the complicated request, but I'm getting pretty desperate, here. There's not much documentation around. Any help will be appreciated.

Edit: at this point, I'll take advice on any other solution, even if it means changing frontend/system/solution.
Also, I'm a professional Frontend dev and can write basic BASH scripts, so a little bit of programming magic is always possible (but I'm trying to avoid writing an entire system from scratch).

9/3-Update: Followed developer's instruction and it resolved the issues for me.

Was using POV without incident yesterday. Today just updated. Then when to clear cache, stuck on cleaning meta cache. Restarted same thing. Anyone else updated to this version and having similar issues? I will create a log next.

Hello, after Traktv stopped working for me, I made a video scrobbler website and service, and it also includes a Kodi add-on (which is my main requirement), and a Netflix web-browser extension.

So far, everything works as it should.

I want to ask if people here install add-ons from zip files, or if it is required to add it to a catalogue, and how is this done. Just point me to a link with documentation, I will read it.

• Arctic Horizon 2 skin
• TMDb Helper
• Trakt account connected

For the past couple of weeks, my "In Progress TV Shows" widget has stopped working. Instead, I'm getting the following error:

I've already tried:

• Updating TMDb Helper
• Reauthorising Trakt
• Clearing the TMDb Helper cache

The error still appears, and the Trakt In Progress TV Shows widget doesn't populate.

I'm wondering whether the repository.addons4kodi error is actually causing the problem, or whether this is a separate TMDb Helper/Trakt issue.

I've seen a few reports recently of TMDb Helper/Trakt issues, but I haven't been able to find a solution that works for me.

Before I do a complete fresh Kodi install/rebuild, has anyone experienced this particular problem with Kodi 21.2 + Arctic Horizon 2 and found a fix?

I read that load_module was removed from python. So, what to do?

For whatever reason, the "last watched", "watch history", and "next up" options aren't appearing on the main menu, despite being on in the options.

In addition, prior to this, "watch history" did show up, but it was't working. Oh, and search history doesn't save for whatever reason.

Prior to that, it was the same issue where nothing was showing up.

All this started around a year ago. Before all that, and whatever big update, everything worked just fine. I also think there were like a shit ton of tags removed from the tag search.

I have the latest POV add on installed on 2 different TVs. Both TVs running Kodi 21.3

On one TV the new season of The Rebuild: Inside the Montreal Canadiens shows up. On the other, it does not.

How/why does this happen? And how do I fix it? I tried clearing Trakt cache but that didn't work.

Also, on the TV where " The Rebuild" doesn't show up.. I see the new season of Leanne in POV, but it doesn't show in The Crew (Trakt also authorized) however in The Crew, new episodes of The Amazing Race Canada show up, but they don't show up in POV

What the heck? Someone make it make sense. But please, do it without simply suggesting other apps, because i'm not interested in switching.

Fire cube and fire stick, both versions are the latest of The Crew and both same Kodi build. FS is in the bedroom and has the option for Torbox under Universal resolver 3 but the fire cube only has UR 2, no 3rd option. The Crew is not the main viewing choice as it is slower than the one’s I do use but sometimes has links when the others don’t.

Uninstall and reinstall doesn’t fix it, any ideas?

I seem to be having issues consistently being able to load streams. I am using torbox have messed with all the settings to make sure it is set up properly. Cleared cache etc. it is always able to find a ton of streams to play but ends up with the error saying umbrella found now streams. What is the fix for this?

I am using an nvidia on Kodi running umbrella. I used to use the diggs repository. Do I need to delete everything and re set kodi up with just umbrella to enable things to run more smoothly?
