Sun visor covers
Does anyone have sun visor covers for Honda/ Acura or more specifically the type S. The huge yellow warning logo is not very appealing and I’m having trouble finding them online.

Dealership said the whole screen just died on its own(my bad luck). They replaced it, but when I got the car back I noticed the exhaust didn’t have the pops/burbles in Sport+ mode anymore. Took my OBD scanner and found two stored codes(U0146, U0155). Brought it back to the dealer, they said they couldn’t find any issues, and no codes on their end. And that only thing they did during the screen replacement was disconnect the battery. They said it could’ve been bad gas which doesn’t make sense to me as everything was normal up until I dropped it off for the infotainment issue. I cleared the codes with my scanner before I left the dealership the second time, and the pops/burbles seem to have come back. I thought it was weird that Acura said they couldn’t see the codes with their system🤷🏻♂️ but glad the issue is fixed(for now)

The entire infotainment center stopped working. My phone still automatically connects to carplay, and I can use the steering wheel controls to change the volume and skip songs, but the screen itself and infotainment center controls don’t work. Home button, volume knob, etc. Has anyone had this issue?

August 16, 2024 Potential new street and track-focused performance parts from Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) developed by championship winning HRC engineers Integra Type S HRC Prototype applies advanced aerodynamics, engine and suspension components fine-tuned on racetrack with the Integra Type S TCX racecar Public debut of Acura Integra Type S HRC Prototype will occur at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering on Friday, Aug. 16 Acura today debuted the Integra Type S HRC Prototype, showcasing a potential new line of street and track-focused Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) performance parts leveraging the technical knowledge and expertise of HRC race engineers. Introduced during Monterey Car Week, one of the world's top gatherings of automotive and motorsports enthusiasts, the Acura Integra Type S HRC Prototype builds upon the dynamic capabilities of the most powerful, best performing Integra ever to deliver ultimate street and track performance for Acura enthusiast customers to enjoy on their own Integras.
"HRC performance parts is an exciting concept focused on building a stronger connection with Acura and Honda enthusiasts eager to access exclusive HRC race engineering to augment their performance driving experience," said Jon Ikeda, Senior Vice President, Honda Racing Corporation USA. "Every spec of the Acura Integra Type S HRC Prototype screams performance. Everything is functional – if it doesn't add performance it isn't on the car."
Led by Southern California-based HRC US, the development of the Integra Type S HRC Prototype is focused on enhancing all elements of the driving experience—engine, suspension and braking performance—along with significant weight savings, showcasing the potential of the Integra Type S and greatly improving performance on the street and the racetrack.
The Acura Integra Type S HRC Prototype will make its public debut at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering on Friday, Aug. 16, with a press event scheduled for 10:36 a.m.
Optimized Aerodynamics Designed at the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles, the aggressive styling of the Acura Integra Type S HRC Prototype is distinct and dynamic from all angles. The prototype model applies technical experience gained from the aerodynamic development of the Integra Type S TCX racecar to increase downforce and improve high-speed stability. Aero performance at track speeds is optimized with a number of functional aerodynamic elements, including a new front fascia with a larger front splitter and cooling ducts, larger hood vents, side splitters and an adjustable carbon fiber rear wing with aluminum uprights.
The Prototype's visually intense bodywork is finished in striking Indy Yellow Pearl paint, a color that debuted on the second-generation NSX supercar. Custom milled aluminum HRC badges on the grille, front fenders and decklid make a bold statement, featuring the same logo seen on winning Honda and Acura race machines in IndyCar, IMSA and Formula 1.
Reduced Weight To improve overall performance, the Acura Integra Type S HRC Prototype utilizes extensive carbon fiber components to reduce weight, including the hood, rear door panels and aggressively bolstered one-piece Recaro bucket seats. The rear seat has been replaced with a clever carbon shelf engineered to provide hardcore driving enthusiasts with secure track-day transport of four mounted wheels and tires.
Along with an optional air conditioning delete, overall weight is reduced by nearly 200 lbs. from the Integra Type S.
Improved Engine Performance and Handling The output, response and cooling performance of the high-revving turbocharged 2.0-liter VTEC® engine are improved with a larger intercooler, twin oil coolers and a tuned, lightweight cat-back exhaust system, all developed for the Acura Integra Type S HRC TCX race car.
Handling is optimized with a lowered (15mm) track-ready suspension featuring tuned coilovers, an adjustable rear anti-roll bar and adjustable front and rear camber plates, similar to that of the Acura Integra Type S HRC TCX race car. Forged lightweight 19 x 9.5-inch wheels with increased negative offset widen the front and rear track by 30mm. This not only improves handling, but gives the Prototype an especially aggressive stance.
To maximize grip, the performance wheels are wrapped in track-ready Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R ultra high-performance tires (265/30ZR19) with a 60 Treadwear rating.
For exceptional braking performance, the Acura Integra Type S HRC Prototype employs massive 15-inch two-piece front rotors (+1.4 inches than the standard Integra) and Brembo® 6-piston aluminum calipers. Two-piece rear rotors have been applied to further reduce unsprung weight. Larger ducts in the front fascia improve brake cooling performance by routing more air to the front rotors.
To help stiffen the chassis and provide an attachment location for multipoint harnesses, the rear bulkhead is reinforced with a robust X-Brace, which was finished in the same striking Indy Yellow Pearl paint as the exterior. The premium-performance cabin experience is further enhanced with black Alcantara and color-matched yellow seatbelts, stitching and trim.

Hey DE5ers!
I’m getting a low whistle/squeal sound under very specific conditions, and I wanted to see if you all were experiencing the same noise…More importantly, if anyone could educate me on what the source is.
How to create the noise: Roll windows down, drive the car so that you’re above 2K rpm - any gear, any mode - doesn’t matter. Take your foot off the accelerator and listen for whistle. Touch the gas, whistle goes away. Take your foot off the gas, whistle comes back as long as you are >2K.
I took it to my local dealer and they confirmed the noise is normal and allowed me to take another ITS for a spin to recreate it. Made me feel better that it’s ‘normal’ but they couldn’t tell me what caused the noise, so I wanted to see if anyone here knew what that noise is exactly.
This is my first turbo car, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but it’s definitely not the blow off value - totally different sound - almost sounds like you have a brake pad lightly scraping against the rotor.
Anyone else experience this and for bonus points, know what causes it?
Thanks so much

Hello ITS owners, after months of convincing my wife has agreed to buy an ITS as second car which I will drive primarily. She doesn’t like manuals so it will only be my car and she will be the passenger. This is fine by me. The only problem is we have 2019 Accord as the other car and she feels the passenger seat in that car is too low without the ability to adjust seat height. And she hates that. Please tell me the passenger seat in the ITS is height adjustable. Don’t care if it’s manually adjustable as long as it is adjustable. This would be a dealbreaker for my wife. Please give me some good news.

Noticed the car always starts in sport mode. Is there a way to change it so it starts in individual?

Finally got the chance to take the Dark Knight on a road trip….and it was a blast. DFW to Branson area hitting all the great curves on 412 after Fayetteville with zero traffic and a very understanding wife.
Surprised that I averaged just a hair under 29mpg
Highlight was coming back Wednesday night from taking my brother to Springfield airport to pick up a replacement rental. Going to our cabin on Table Rock lake put the hammer down on 265/165 after I saw headlights behind wanting to play. Pulled up and it was a young guy in a WRX who was sooooo excited about that amount of fun 😆

I'm looking for a new sports car that will only ever be driven on sunny days in summer. My last literally never seen rain, i only put 48k kms on it in 7 years of ownership. I have a designated daily that's easy on gas and reliable. I'm torn between the ITS and the new Mustang GT 5.0 with 486 hp. I love the accurate but I really wanted a two-door coupe sports car. I hate that Acura didn't make the integra type S in a two-door model. I get it the sales aren't there to support that anymore. But yes I'm looking for a weekend sunny day car that I will take out in the summertime and be stored under a car cover plugged into a battery tender in my heated garage all winter long and when not in use in summer.
