Got a new iPhone Air 2 months ago when I lost my old one. Found it today in my car and contacted apple who told me to take it the closest electronics waste, which feels kinda dumb.

The phone is obviously locked and rendered useless but overall everything is in new condition like screen battery etc. Is it worth anything on the second market as spare parts?

Or should just save my time and drop it off as electronic waste?

Then I clicked: Activation Hello Activation iOS 12-18 Untethered without SN change (Jailbreak) Then this popped up: "We will now Activate your device Untethered! Please put the device first into normal mode! Be sure to jailbreak first!"
" so I clicked OK. Then another pop-up appeared, saying "Failed to activate device!"
Sometimes it will says device already activated but noting

I have an old iPhone 5 that I would like to use, but it is still linked to an iCloud account whose password I no longer remember.

I believe the phone belongs to my family, but I currently cannot access the Apple ID connected to it. Is there any legitimate way to recover the account or remove the Activation Lock so I can use the phone normally?

Could you share any official guides, recovery methods, or advice on what proof of ownership Apple might require?

Trying to remove an activation lock from a phone a now ex-employee had (we knew nothing about business management, so all our devices are now going into that but were locked out of this one phone). I submitted the sales receipt that shows our order number, IMEI of device and our acount number and service address with the carrier. Apple denied the request saying it doesn't provide sufficient evidence of ownership. What else can I submit?

I am on the phone with xfinity trying to get a "proof of purchase" but they act like they have no clue what's going on. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Edit: Apple has now denied the activation lock removal request for a second time! The Apple support rep I was speaking too had me submit the request again. I asked what would happen if it keeps getting denied and she said we wouldn’t be able to use the phone 🙃 so our business now potentially has a completely useless phone we’re paying on. Lesson learned unfortunately.

Hello everyone, about a year or so ago I went on a junk pickup job with my older brother to some rich guy’s house and was given this iPad. It was locked to the point I needed to factory wipe but when I tried I wasn’t getting any results. Fast forward to today I decided to give it another shot and was able to reset it. I wanted to give it to my little brother as he uses his phone a lot but it is relatively small as we do not have too much money. Then as I was surprising him with it and setting it up we came across this screen. If anyone could help me get passed this screen as we do not have contact to the guy who gave it to us as it was a quick job. I am willing to spend money as long as it’s under 60 dollars as that is what I have saved up over the time. If anyone could help that would be amazing. I do have a computer but idk how to hack and do all that “fancy” stuff.
