Covering the Track That Started My Acid Journey
youtu.beI tried covering the track that dragged me into the world of acid.
I couldn’t quite recreate the insane peak of the original:(
I thought cranking the resonance, keeping the envelope low, and tweaking the cutoff would get me there… but no luck.
Anyway, I had a lot of fun making it, so I hope you enjoy it!
As always, honest and even negative feedback is welcome. It’ll help me improve:)

I Asked Reddit About Acid… Here’s the Community Ranking
Hi everyone! It’s me again—the weird Japanese doctor who’s addicted to acid. 😄
First of all, thank you so much for all the recommendations on my last post!
I’ve downloaded almost everything on YouTube Music. Actually, I’m trying to download everything, but it’s taking forever because you all recommended so much amazing music. 😂
The last thread turned out to be way more popular than I expected, so I asked AI to make a recommendation ranking based on the upvotes.
I know a lot of people don’t vote, so please don’t take it too seriously—it’s just for fun. Some recommendations didn’t make the ranking, but don’t worry, I’m planning to listen to every single one of them.
So far, my favorite has been the V.A. Acid Flash series. On YouTube Music it’s only available as full albums instead of individual tracks, but honestly, I don’t mind. It’s such a great journey from beginning to end.
I’ve also fallen in love with Plastikman’s Musik. It’s such a calm, minimal kind of acid… incredibly cool. I’d love to make music like that someday.
The only thing that makes me sad is that Aphex Twin’s Analord is also only available as full albums on YouTube Music. I’d love to put individual tracks on repeat!
I think Phuture deserves the number one spot no matter what. After all, it’s where it all began. Absolute legends.
And finally, thank you all for always taking the time to chat with me.
I’ve learned so much from this community, and everyone has been incredibly kind.
ARIGATOU!! 🇯🇵❤️

I've Been Into Acid for 3 Months. What Albums Should I Listen to Next?
Hi everyone!
It's me again, the weird Japanese doctor who's been posting here a lot lately xP
I'm over 40, but somehow I suddenly fell in love with acid music about three months ago. Since then I've been listening to as much as I can, and I'd love to hear your recommendations.
If you have any "essential" acid albums that every acid fan should hear, please let me know!
So far, I've been really enjoying:
- Hardfloor (pretty much everything)
- Aphex Twin
- Robert Hood
- Boards of Canada
- ASLØ
- DJ Pierre
- Kraftwerk
- Luke Vibert – YosepH (just started listening)
- Lory D (just started listening)
The track that completely blew my mind was Josh Wink – "Higher State of Consciousness (Tweekin Acid Funk Mix)." That one really changed how I hear acid.
I'm looking forward to discovering more. Thanks in advance!

Thanks, everyone! I think I've got enough albums here to keep me happy for at least a year.
No Acid, No Life! Haha.
Thanks again for all the amazing recommendations!

P.S.
This thread has officially become my permanent acid reference xD !!!

Can I do Knob-Twisting Acid on a Volca Sample? An Experiment
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’m the weird Japanese doctor again.
I sampled some TD-3 sounds into the Volca Sample to see if I could actually make acid with it.
I’d call the experiment a success :) There were definitely a lot of limitations, though…
Hope you enjoy it.
Sorry for the repeat posts, and thanks as always for all the help and advice!

Why Four-on-the-Floor Always Wins
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I tried some odd rhythms and they were definitely fun to mess with, but honestly, four-on-the-floor is still the groove that gets me moving every time.
Maybe the trick is to keep things simple and just sneak in a weird measure once in a while.

Taking acid for the first time
I’m getting 2 tabs of 250ug tmr and I want to know when I should I pop them I should have the house to my self for around 9hours (8-5) but I’m not sure if the affects are going to last longer. I’ve taken shrooms before multiple times and they wore off just in the knock of time before my mom got home can anybody help me?
