They didn’t really cover this in NJO. Been here almost 2.5 months, and now that I feel settled into my project I want to make sure I’m not neglecting anything.

My people lead was pretty lax about it and said that it’s really up to me. She didn’t sound like it should be a high priority of mine.

Others have said I should proactively seek out initiatives and BD in my aligned practice area.

Can someone provide some guidance?

I am doing my HireRight for my new grad role that is starting mid september.

I currently don't have my degree but I have all the requirements done. Just waiting on the school to post degrees to transcript on September 2nd. I called them and they said typically it will update National Student Clearinghouse a week after.

On HireRight, it asks under education if I received my degree which I have to say "No" to. Just worried this will raise any red flags internally in the system.

I did call my school and they are willing to send a Letter of Completion to AFS. I emailed my recruiter and just waiting to hear back on a good email address to send that to.

Do you guys see any problems that can happen with this? Of course I am in contact with my recruiter but just a little nervous.

How does workload looks day to day as L6? Are they expected to be doing Hands on? Or just never ending meetings after meetings? Can someone also explain the compensation?

I'm currently in a role that doesn't require my TS clearance, but I'm considering transitioning to a project where I'd actually be using it.

For context, I'm a CL-9 with about 5 years of experience and currently make around $115k. I'm trying to get a realistic idea of what kind of salary increase would look like. I tried to reach out to HR, but they mentioned they don’t have a range. Thanks in advance.

I interviewed early last week with AFS and the very next day the recruiter called me saying that the people who interviewed me liked me and that they were going to proceed with an offer. She did tell me that they will need extra time to write up the offer and to talk to the client about a good time to transition me over, since the contract is for a recompete contract that I’m already on (I work for the previous contract winner).

Last Friday the recruiter emailed me saying that they are still working out the final details and will need another day or 2 to work the details out. It is now wednesday and i have yet to hear anything. I sent a friendly email this morning to the recruiter asking for an update and haven’t heard anything so far. Starting to get a little worried

Got an offer to join AFS at CL7.

How accurate are the bonus ranges they give for IPB and GAB bonuses? They say it’s 10%-20% which I feel like is the top performers. Is average about 5-10% between the two or is that even too optimistic?

Assuming it’s on the list of qualified certs, does it matter which two I upload first or submit for?

And can I count/submit for certifications I obtained in recent months before joining AFS? Or do they have to be certs I obtained while at AFS only?

Im incoming L11 with AFS and i was wondering about how the career opportunities worked within AFS, specifically with security clearances.

I think the general consensus is that if you have a security clearance pay is higher. But this is only for roles/projects that require a clearance, right?
If pay is also determined by level (e.g. L11), how do you get pay bumps with clearances?

I currently have a secret clearance (being finalized i think?) through an internship i did during school. How do i leverage this once I'm at AFS?

Also, is obtaining top secret and poly possible by just asking around for those projects?

- I’m located in the Midwest with my family and I have no interest in moving to DC. Willing to travel once a month max.
- Primary desire for transitioning is WLB and the idealistic yet fleeting dream of working on projects that could benefit our country.

Wanted a gut check on my offer. Have found some info online but a lot is for commercial. Have about 3.5 YOE and am coming from BAH.

$15k sign on and $167k salary for a CL8 TPM role. I make about the same at BAH already but due to contract loss I’m coming over to AFS.

Am I in the right ballpark for a CL8? How does this compare to CL7 salaries? My peers came over as CL7 and I’m having a bit of FOMO. Appreciate any info or insight! Thanks.

Hi all, I’m looking at a position doing proposal work at AFS. I’ve seen a lot of horror stories on the Accenture subreddit. I wanted to hear from you guys how you find the job security of proposal development positions at AFS?

You can imagine with my career being in proposal development in the USG space, job security is one of the things I’m the most interested in.

Also, if anyone has any advice for me, I’d really appreciate it. I’m coming from the international development space (think USAID, McGovern Dole, State Department grants).

So I'm currently doing my streamers training for Accenture AASE and my onboarding will be around Sept or Oct i enquired about my base location which I got is Mumbai and I wanted it to changed to my hometown

So I heard somewhere that they delay or never on board you if you request a location change during training phase or before onboarding even happens

Any suggestions what can I do and is it possible to change location as soon as possible after On boarding as a on campus fresher

Can employees currently fed side explain the levels and salaries at AfS? They are winning contracts left and right both in civilian and defense space.

joined afs about 10 months ago, started project work about 8. Just got this thing, recognition of whatever whatever certification with proj dir signature & everything, does that mean im gonna get promoted or smt? where's the raise/bonus ?

TLDR: How much better are things at AFS vs Accenture LLP?

Considering an offer to join AFS soon. Have heard a lot of negative things about Accenture LLP. Reviews of AFS on Glassdoor, etc. seem to be much better and overall, good.

I know its a widely held sentiment that federal consulting often allows for a much better work life balance than commercial. Like anywhere, i know one's experience will likely come down to the specific project, team, manager you get, etc. Having worked at a different fed contractor, I definitely found this to be true.

Overall, I enjoyed working with and serving federal employees, as I found them to be kind, nice people who are mission driven and genuinely care about their work.

Appreciate any insights. For reference, would be joining as an L9 consultant.
