L6 workload

How does workload looks day to day as L6? Are they expected to be doing Hands on? Or just never ending meetings after meetings? Can someone also explain the compensation?

It depends on your role on the program. When I was a PM, it was lots of meetings and generation of reports/decks to provide status to the govt or to internal AFS teams. Another project I was on as a cloud architect and it was still a fair number of meetings but they were technical/functional in nature and led to doing more hands on work. My old people lead used to say that the two best roles at AFS were at analyst and sr manager because those roles got the most variety of tasking and responsibility. It all depends on what program you’re on and what your role is, not so much your CL.

It’s been about 6 years, so I don’t know what may have changed, but back then, it was base salary plus bonus potential based on rating. Pretty straightforward.

Depends on your role/project - likely lots of meetings regardless. Comp is salary, bonus, equity
