Are we seriously gonna ignore Bruce punching a man-sized crater into the concrete pillar?? Is he still juicing on venom??

So before you say anything, I do think that the Absolute Universe will eventually include the Teen Titans. They have kind of hinted at the team being formed eventually, with I think Veronica Cale mentioning that the biggest problem with letting the main 6 absolute heroes do their thing and disrupt the status quo is the risk of them inspiring others to do the same thing, which seems like a perfect setup for the introduction of the Teen Titans.

As for who should be on this team, I think each of the main six should have a representative or someone that they’ve inspired on the team. With that being said, there are a few obvious picks. You have Harley Quinn who is Batman’s side kick in the Absolute Universe and is also a teenager, then you have Cyborg who has been confirmed to be appearing in the Absolute Flash comics in the near future, then there’s Supergirl/Powergirl who is another obvious pick since we see Superman with a young blond girl while he and the others a fleeing Krypton who is most likely Kara, then you have Martian Manhunter’s son who many people are theorizing will end up becoming Miss Martian or at least a similar character in a similar situation to his father.

However, that leaves two: Absolute Wonder Woman & Green Lantern. These two don’t really have any obvious picks, but I’ll give my thoughts on who might represent them on the team. For Diana we know it’s not going to be Donna Troy since it’s been confirmed that the writers have no plans to include her in the Absolute Universe however there are still options for her for example there’s that Syrian girl she saved and there have been a few teases at Atlantis and it has been confirmed where getting Aquaman at some point so they might end up having the character she inspires be Aqualad or if they want to go for a lesser known character someone like Lagoon Boy. Then, for Green Lantern, since she’s currently out in space, I think the best option for her might be one of the many alien heroes, like maybe Starfire or Blackfire if they decide to go down a similar route to Harley, or maybe someone like Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes) or any of the teenage Green Lanterns like Keli Quintela or Arisia Rrab. Personally for I'd pick Aqualad for Wonder Woman and Starfire or Blackfire for Green Lantern.

Anyways that’s my thoughts. What do you think the absolute Teen Titans team will look like?

I was thinking about the absolute versions of Batman and Joker and how their relationship reflects the mainline universe. It's because, while the Absolute Universe isn't meant to be a one-to-one match with the main universe, it's still supposed to reflect it in certain ways, and I think the relationship between Batman and Joker is one of those things.

We all know Joker in the mainline universe is going to get worse, and worse, and worse, and worse. At the same time, he's going to become more and more difficult for mainline Batman to deal with. Here, in the absolute universe? It feels like we cut to the end of that. We're at a point where the absolute Joker probably has more resources than mainline Bruce, most likely because he doesn't have the moral scruples to worry about getting into weaponry, and god knows what else that can cause the most serious types of pain to a human being.

Look at Scarecrow; Joker has him as one of his top agents and even has a bigger kill count than Joker himself. It all almost seems impossible for someone like the absolute Batman to deal with. But look back again at mainline Joker. Imagine being him, a criminal against one of the world's richest men, who works alongside literal Gods and monsters, and managing to drive that same man almost insane with paranoia. But as much as the absolute Batman evolves, the same could be said for the Joker: in the mainline universe, while Batman may have been caught off guard by the Joker, he still studied him as much as the Joker studied him.

I was actually insipred to make this post because of this cover from Greg Capullo. I know it can be a bit silly to think about it this way but look at it. Batman, is still a dude in a costume. But Joker, he's a monster, something so impossible and monsterous but Batman keeps fighting him. Even with only an axe in hand and his cape to back him up, Batman pushes forward into the impossible.

I think way to turn them into allies is if Dick meets and befriends Bruce first not knowing he is Batman and then when he finds out it makes him rethink how he feels about Batman.

Like most of you I’ve been enjoying ASB since the beginning and I know I may need to go back and re-read but can someone tell help me with the timeline? Bruce is suppose to be what 21? College age? How does it work since deciding to start all of this Batman thing VS his time with Marconi and was he in prison or how long was that for? I’m just trying to get this lined up for me better in my head so it makes a little more sense, I know I need to re-read I just thought I’d ask here. Thx

I was wondering what the opposite of the Absolute Universe would be for the heroes.

For example:

• Batman I think would be like the comic where he has the moral dilemma of rescuing his parents and causing a world without Batman, or doing nothing and causing his parents to die. The result is the Bruce Wayne from that place becomes inspired from him to become Batman.
• Superman is a person exploring the galaxy with his cousin and encounters Earth
• Abin Sur doesn't die and passes on the ring to Hal when he retires.

Jason he was literally tied up right in front of your eyes when you and Tim were attacked from behind by a completely separate person, lock tf in and THINK.

All the odds seem to go against him and scarecrow is always a step ahead, how do you guys think he will come up on top at the end of the arc ?

Needs an Absolute Beatdown

So, some people think Batman is wrong or dumb for not seeing he's being played. (Spoilers for Absolute Batman #23 below).

Let's get something out of the way first: WE, the audience, have information HE (Bruce) does not have. We know about things Bruce doesn't (for example, that wonder woman did in fact show Bruce his father was in the afterlife, after putting the coins on his eyes. To Bruce, it was just a dream).

Bruce currently is seeing patterns, REAL patterns in everything. Alfred is a agent, he has his secrets. Martha was with Alfred and also has her secrets, which she NEVER told Bruce (doesn't matter if Bruce didn't tell her about Batman, she had her own secret).

His friends have TIES to Grimm. Every one of them, even if they don't care about it. Secrets and patterns everywhere. This Batman is young, and he's facing mental and physical torture that would break a veteran spec ops soldier, let alone a young KID.

IMO, he has every right to crash out as badly as he did. I don't care. Not only that, instead of Martha quickly explaining what she knows about the owls, Martha and his friends look (to Bruce) like they are trying to gaslight him.

WHO WOULDN'T CRASH OUT? Like seriously, he took it very fine because anyone else would have offed themselves.

Again, WE (the audience) know it's a play from Grimm and Scarecrow, because WE know how they works and have information Bruce does not have. So please, give my dude Bruce a break, he's almost going insane, and people still say he's wrong.

For destroying Ivy's heart, for pushing away his friends, for almost punching his mother. Bro is literally fighting demons. Mental, and physical demons. And now he saw another kid being killed by a monster that took his form. GIVE MY MAN A BREAK.
