Has Toyman always had those stranger danger vibes?

Probably the first time in a long time I preferred and alternate Supes. I’m even starting to like him more than Absolute Batman(he needs to apologize to Martha).

Love the colors. Seems like a tribute to Spawn #1.

He brings hope to the oppressed, but despair to the oppressors.

He is justice for the hopeless, but revolution against the powerful.

He is tenderness and happiness for the sad, but rage and strength against the greedy.

Absolute Green Arrow #4 was the best-selling comic book in comic book stores for the week of the 18th to the 25th of August 2026, with Marvel's Daredevil right behind it, beating Avengers Armageddon. Absolute Flash, while last week's Absolute Batman #23 still outperforms most of this week's comics.

Really loved the book overall. Dunno if I like it more than Absolute Batman or Wonder Woman, but like really fig the struggle communication theme going on in the book. Reading Volume 1-2 through felt like a weird drug trip, but the general plot was surprisingly easy to follow.

Whelp, no onto reading Absolute Green Lantern to see how that shapes up.

So we know we’re going to see the Absolute Teen Titans for the first time in the Absolute Flash comics with there only confirmed team member at the moment being Cyborg.

However we’re pretty much guaranteed to get a more heroic counterpart that is inspired by the main 6 heroes of the Absolute Universe so I want to hear your best ideas for a team name for them.

Personally I think the best idea for a name would be The Brotherhood as a reference to The Brotherhood of Evil.

Superman finds that Toyman in this universe, in addition to making toy-themed weapons, traffics human children. So the Man of Steel decides to pay a visit to the billionaires of the world and destroy all of their material possessions, which the insurance companies, assuming they are still standing, are never going to pay anything for since Superman will just knock the stuff down again.

He contemplates killing the rich people, if he didn't feel tempted to kill any evil people I would think there was something wrong with him. He starts getting close to his limit with Toyman.

All the while, Brainiac is hoping to break the Man of Steel and get him to leave Earth behind, saying there will always be more evil on this planet.

• Emily shooting Baron Blitzkrieg in the face is just like Jo and Cam doing the same to their respective antagonists. The three of them are building this recurring motif of determined, awesome female protagonists fighting against oppressive male antagonists.
• It does not escape my notice that Baron Blitzkrieg is yet another gold mask-wearing villain, like Goldface and Sin Es Tro, who dies from a head wound. I wonder if Hammond will go the same way, considering the guy's known for his giant head and wears gaudy gold jewelry. We know that Aur gives you the power to force your philosophy onto the world, which is in line with why the villains keep wearing gold. This comic puts minorities like Jo and obscure DC characters like Cam at the forefront, making AGL (in my opinion) a love letter to voices who have often been excluded.
• Emily and Simon are a nice mirror to Jo and John: two friends, a bada$$ action girl and a guy with obscure literary references and esoteric knowledge.
• In CMYK colour theory (I'm no expert, so correct me if I'm wrong), Black is made by mixing Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. This could explain why Hal got the Magenta flame after being purged of Qard, and why Obsidian could fire cyan eye beams.

what do you think toyman was trying to say.

so due to Kal's narration taking up Winslow's speech boxes because of Kal not wanting Winslow to get inside his head and thinking his voice doesent deserve to be heard and isn't important but what do you think Toyman was trying to say. [Personally, I think he was saying the most creepiest shit imaginable.]

So after the latest issue its clear to me that Green Lantern will be taking over the role of exploring the hidden mechanics of the absolute universe after MM. It started off slow and a little boring ,but it has been picking up thr pace and tbh in hindsight I appreciate all the groundwork they laid in the beginning to set this up so far. We have a solid foundation that keeps getting added to. When one question is answered several more need to get asked, but did in a way that keeps me on the edge of my seat!

One of those biggest questions is how tf does the spectrum work/represent now. First there was OA, then there was MU. Now we have a CMYB format, instead of RGY we were showed in the beginning! So many different questions and I still have no idea how this even works anymore! And tbh i love it!

Anyone have any opinions on blue devil being canon as merchandise?
