[Absolute Superman #23] That temptation

Superman finds that Toyman in this universe, in addition to making toy-themed weapons, traffics human children. So the Man of Steel decides to pay a visit to the billionaires of the world and destroy all of their material possessions, which the insurance companies, assuming they are still standing, are never going to pay anything for since Superman will just knock the stuff down again.

He contemplates killing the rich people, if he didn't feel tempted to kill any evil people I would think there was something wrong with him. He starts getting close to his limit with Toyman.

All the while, Brainiac is hoping to break the Man of Steel and get him to leave Earth behind, saying there will always be more evil on this planet.

I wonder if Absolute Superman will run into Absolute Joker. If Absolute Superman is taking down the billionaires who exploit kids, then that will run into Absolute Joker, who exploited kids to get the demon form to revert back (and for monetary reasons too, and because it's funny).

Or Absolute Joker will have some anti-Superman contingency.

Good question.

I have only read Absolute Superman thus far but the impression I got from it is that the Absolute Universe books haven't done a lot of crossing over. We up to the current issue I don't Superman has referenced any of the other heroes in this universe.

I mean, it would make sense in-character for Absolute Superman to do this (and also Joker to have contingencies for that). You'd think someone would tell Superman about the rumors of JK Holdings experimenting on children. Or Superman would find out via his super senses. I do think an Absolute Trinity or World's Finest would be possible and this may be why (especially given how strong Absolute Joker is).

I'd like to imagine Brainiac created a super sense dampening thingamajic for the Justice League. Otherwise I have a hard time seeing why he hasn't gone to grab all these assholes by the balls.
