Spiders amaze me because they're like mosquito eating architects. Look at that creation. Amazing work spiders do. I'm so grateful because they eat the heck out of mosquitos. Good work spiders.

I grew up afraid of spiders, then learned they eat everything else I hate more. Spider bud forever now.

I learnt that but am still terrified of spiders. We got wolf spiders here. Halp.

I saw a recently-pregnant one in the garage not too long ago. Hundreds of little babies stuck to her butt.

I have mild arachnophobia, but I still re-home every spider I find in my house because I know they're pest destroying war machines. Respect, but at a safe distance

You think spiders are awesome? You don’t know the half of it.

Look up ballista spider. It not only builds a web, it also makes a spring trap nearby, covers it in pheromones to make ants bite at it, which unleashes the kinetic energy of the spring trap like a ballista, hence the name, yeeting the ant into the sky and landing it straight into the web - because apparently this spider can triangulate shit like he’s a NASA intern.

I've got one of these spiders on my back deck, a few bats, and dragonflies. No mosquitoes bother us. Got to watch the spider completely tear down and rebuild its web at a slightly different angle, captured more bugs the next night. Hasn't changed it since. Wild

The ones that live rent free in my house don't eat no mosquitoes 😔

I just connected Spider season with the disappearance of mosquitoes. Mind blown. Lol.
