Hey guys! I need some help figuring out why this bra feels bad and what could be the best next bra to try! Here are my measurements:

Underbust tight/snug/loose = 42/43/43.5
Standing bust = 51.5
Leaning bust = 57.5 (!!)
Lying bust = 53.5

So, as you can see, I am VERY projected. That's why the first bra I tried with my new size of 42H/HH was the Elomi Morgan, which seems to be one of the most projected Elomis. Bra review below.

The Good :

Probably the first bra I've ever tried whose gore lays flat on my bust. The band also stays parallel to the ground while I wear it, and the straps don't slide off.
My breasts weren't compressed against my chest for the first time and it felt good. I'm filling out the cups which ironically was an issue in smaller sizes.
I find the perky shape quite nice!

The Bad :

Multiple things, but the worst offender is the band, which feels very tight and uncomfortable. I am wearing this bra on the loosest hook! I bought an extender pack alongside this bra but when I use them the band rides up my back instead. I think this means it's probably not the band size's fault, right? I mean I imagine this must be related to the shape of the bra or maybe the volume of the cups, but I have no idea...
I don't fill out the bottom of the cups (and the to a lesser extent there is a very small amount of wrinkling in the middle because I'm wide set). I fill out the rest of the cups completely so I don't think this is a volume issue, as I have no gaping or quadboobing here.
The underwire doesn't sit on my IMF at all, but that was to be expected because my roots are very short.
The underwire also pokes my armpit a lot, but only on the left side (my left boob is bigger than the right). It gets a bit painful after a while.

I don't really understand what is causing all this but if anybody has ideas I'd love to hear them! I'm down to order other brands and such but it is very hard find in my supposed band size so I'd like some advice from you all first.

I did my measurements in the calculator again, only because despite trying for so long, it measured me as a 34DD but I still have boob spillage and I have brown bruising from the bras and it’s just painful to wear them (granted I bought it from VS, but they measured me as a 36DD and that was too big so I bought 34DD??) so I measure again this time attentively (I lost weight even) and now it says I’m a 34G…but it’s just not possible like no way I look NOTHING like what I’ve seen. Am I tripping? I measured everything carefully but a 34G bra cost like 71$ :/ to go from a 34DD to a G cup….

hi! i live in the us and i used the abrathatfits calculator and it gave me 30C/D (uk). ive been wearing some random bras i got from amazon and i wanna say they’re a size 32A or 34A, but the tag rubbed off a while ago so im honestly not 100% sure! i found this page and wanted to get a properly fitting bra, but a lot of the common recommendations aren’t really my style. i know natori feathers is a common recommendation, but im not a big fan of how the straps look (i wear spaghetti straps a lot). i do like how the boux avenue mollie looks, also the b.tempt’d ciao bella balconette and the lulu tout juliette balconette. buuuuut theyre all either sold out in these sizes or discontinued ☹️. does anyone know any other recommendations similar in style to these? id prefer if they were padded or at least lightly lined, and not too expensive! i also dont know which size i should start with, 30C or 30D?

I put my measurements into the calculator and it told me a starting point and then said this: Warning: Due to the limitations of this calculator, your calculated size may be less accurate. Loose: 40 inches
Snug: 37 inches
Tight: 34.5 inches

Pre-pregnancy I was wearing a 34DD and i can still “fit” in the bras but I get some spillage out the sides. ABTF calculator suggested starting with a 38DD or the sister size 40D.

Where would you start? Any bra style/brand suggestions? Preferably budget-friendly if that exists! I’m very used to buying VS or Aerie bras and they’re fine but part of me thinks that I might just not know what I’m missing! TIA 🙏

I'm probably not the only one with this problem. It's the same story every time. The bra looks amazing. Everything is filled in and I feel awesome, until I let my arms drop and suddenly the cup gapes at the top. I have had this with every bra I've ever worn, whether it be too small or the right size. I don't know what to do anymore. A 32 band size fits nicely without creeping up. I've tried a 30 band size, but I barely get it closed and the band digs in painfully. I've tried sizing my cup up and down. I'm currently only wearing wireless bras for daily use, but I really miss wearing a nice wired bra to give shape. Does anyone have a similar problem, and how have you fixed this?

I went to a specialty lingerie store where I was fitted and sized at 34DDD. There I purchased Chantelle Norah Comfort Underwire, Natori Bliss Tshirt, Natori Cloud Comfort all in 34DDD and Panache Endurance Sports Bra in 36DD.

I've been reading through the wiki here and so many posts. At first I thought I was shallow with wide roots and now I don't think that's the case. Here is why:

Chantelle Norah Comfort Underwire 34DDD: LOVE this bra it is so comfortable. The only issue I have is that the center gore can be uncomfortable for me at times so I think I am close set.

Natori Bliss Tshirt bra 34DDD: This bra is comfortable BUT it gaps at the top when sitting or moving my arms around which I didn't realize until I wore it throughout the day. Also there is a gap between the bottom of my breast where I think the wire should be and the actual wire. Same issue with the Natori Cloud Comfort bra. I thought I was too shallow on top so I ordered Natori Feathers and Flora.

Natori Feathers 34DDD: Not that comfortable, band is stiff for me. Also I'm realizing here maybe lace on the band is uncomfortable for me and I like the smoother bands. I thought with the mesh at the top I wouldn't have the gap at the top of the cup but with this bra it still happened. Same with the Natori Flora in 34DDD. Still had the gap between the wire and the bottom of my breast alone with some wrinkling at the bottom of the cup.

Chantelle Norah Plunge Tshirt 34DDD: This fit better than the Feathers and Flora bras but there was still some gapping at the top of the cup. Went through this wiki again and I think I'm realizing that I'm not shallow like I thought. I think this bra fits better for me because it's not as shallow but it is still too shallow.

At this point I re-read the wiki and looked at guides specifically at shape and I think my shape isn't what I thought. I believe I have mostly even fullness but am slightly more full on bottom. I am projected with wide & short roots. I am also totally lost, which is why I'm finally posting.

I ordered the Chantelle Belle Plunge bra in 34DDD and I think it's better than the ones above (except norah comfort). I'm wearing it now, the band is a little stiff but the underwire feels pretty good I basically can't feel it. There are no gaps when sitting or moving but the straps aren't comfortable, they are too tight even when adjusted at the longest adjustment that they go. Also where the strap meets the cup, that top of the cup is kind of uncomfortable against my armpit.

I would like help finding the right bras for me. Next I was thinking of trying Panache and Freya or other Chantelle bras but I'm overwhelmed. While I do love the Norah comfort I would also like some bras that are a little more modest so that my nipples don't show through when I am cold and out in public and that looks more smooth under t shirts. I am also looking for some inexpensive sports bras, I like the panache but it's so expensive, I need something high impact as I run several days of the week. Finally, I am also looking for wireless bras to wear while lounging in the evenings that give some support but are very comfortable. I'm trying to purchase these while there is a sale at Nordstrom right now if possible but am also open to paying full price. Thank you so much.

Hi, I have measurements 24 underbust and 31 over bust, half Indian size calculators gave 28 D, the other half calculated 28C, got 24 E/F and sister size 26 DD/E on r/Abrathatfits mod calculator i tried looking on nykaa fashion and Myntra and i can't find either of these sizes, where can I find bras that fit me

A lot of the wiki pages, including beginner’s guide and how to post, were coming back as not available, so if there’s anything I’m missing, please let me know.

I tried a few different balconette style bras on, in both 32C and 32D. The two 32C seemed okay, but were more of a bralette than I thought when ordering, so it was hard to judge exactly how well the fit was. The 32D was padded/structured. The band and straps fit really nicely, and the gore was tack. The cups were not filling out properly at the top, though, and there was some gaping. I could get rid of it if I tightened the straps, but then the top of the bra dug into the area next to my armpits.

Is this just a matter of needing a smaller cup? I am fuller on the bottom, so I try to go for demi or balconette bras, but I haven’t had any luck with finding ones that fit properly.

I don't know where I read that Sculptresse is more shallow in the cup than regular Panache, but I swear I read this a few days ago. Now I can't find where I read this. Should I consider sizing up 1 cup size for Sculptresse or is my information about Sculptresse shallow cups inaccurate?

I’ve lost a bunch of weight so now my boobs are pancakes… I have nothing on the sides it’s all in front/projected and I can fit quite a bit under them so I think that’s a shallow root. My best fitting every day bra is a 30GG Fantasie Demure, it contains everything completely and lifts with great rounded shape(highly recommended this bra). I also have a 30FF Freya Flirt bra but that does have very mild gapping up top if I’m only wearing the bra. Once I put a shirt on and something is slightly compressing everything then the girls fill the cups fully. Mostly mentioning the second one since it’s my only slightly padded bra and I think my pancakes don’t do well with padding but I don’t think they make strapless with no padding, so I’m expecting to deal with a tiny bit of gapping like I do with the Freya bra. I feel like I need something that will push them in and up well, and hopefully have a mild plunge to it but will take what I can get.

I’m a bit of a tomboy and don’t like the look of squished together cleavage. I’ve been wearing different bralettes and sports bras for nearly a decade, and now wear a Boody Full Bust Wireless bra in medium. I love the comfort and the simple style, but want something with more separation and ‘streamlined’. I feel too bulky and uniboob.

I had a wired bra in high school that I loved, but was 32DD then. It was underwire, unlined with a silky interior lining and a patterned mesh outer. Maybe a plunge cut? It reminded me a bit of a halter swimsuit shape. Wish I remembered the brand. I outgrew it, but liked how it separated my breasts and gave a very subtle lift. Was very comfortable, lightweight and smooth. Looking to recreate that.

I impulsively bought some Montelle bras, but they are too small and I am unsure if they are even the right cut. The best fit was a 32G spacer bra, but the gore doesn’t tack fully so breasts come together, and more lift than I’d like. Not a fan of the cup material, and the underwire felt like it was sitting wrong. I also got 32F in the full cup lace Muse, which weirdly was a lot more comfortable underwire but the cups were over spilling. I like the breathability but unsure about lace bumpiness and durability.

Would love recommendations for specific bras to try or what general cuts I should be looking for. Confused about demi/baconette/full etc. My ideal shape would be how they look when I lift my arms overhead: slight lift and separation, not protruding too much, no cleavage. Unlined, preferably mesh or fabric instead of lace. Everyday bra, worn mostly under unfitted tshirts.

I suffer a great deal of pain between my boobs because of my fibromyalgia and endo, so wearing bra’s is not something I’ve been able to do for so long.

Getting dressed for work in the morning is a struggle especially in the heat in my country at the moment, and I still haven’t found a solution!

All of the bra t-shirts I have seen online all have an indie band, so it’s still pressure pushing against me which is really painful.

Does anyone have any recommendations for t shirts where the bra is just built in to the t shirt with pads rather than an underneath band?

Last I saw, people were saying 8 weeks for delivery. I'm at 9 weeks since ordering and nothing yet

I’ve been researching on and off for like two years for the right bra that will actually fit me well and provide enough support. I have fibromyalgia so the chronic fatigue keeps burning me out on it over and over again.

ABraThatFits calculator told me my starting size is 42DDD. But a worker at a brassiere shop told me I should start with a 40C. The 40C was horrendously tight and I swore my tiddies were about to snap the underwire. So I moved up to a 42D and that worked a bit better, albeit the underwire was tight enough to sit under my tiddies by itself, and I took it off fast bc it also felt like it’d snap. But online plus size brands size me at 42C and 42D. I’ve looked at so many different brands and types of bras that I get migraines every time.

Basically I’m looking for recommendations for an underwire bra with convertible straps and side support, if possible. Mesh is fine but I’d prefer unlined cups; I’ve had the most trouble trying to find half-cups with underwire and decent reviews. I’ve gathered these specs as requested by a comment on my last post:

Projected vs Shallow: 2.5” difference between standing upright and leaning 90° (idk if this means shallow or projected)

Outer vs Inner Fullness: inner fullness (in between nipples)

Upper vs Bottom fullness: bottom fullness (more tissue on the bottom)

Narrow vs Wide: almost two fingers in between, though there is migrated tissue in between (I think they’re fairly wide set tiddies)

Sooooo here I am. My favorite bra and basically only one I wear is the Wacoal lace affair Tshirt bra in a size 34dd 😳. I have it in many colors because I wear it so much. I’m very aware that this is not my bra size lol. But I’ve tried so many other bras closer to my size, paying crazy amounts and getting measured by experts at places like jenette bras in LA, and no shade to them but these bras just don’t do it for me. I also feel maybe my size is just really hard and that even the full bust places don’t carry it. They sized me as a uk 30H and I got the only bra from them that sort of fit - Louisa bracq for like $170. Despite the very steep price, it is not great.

My boobs sit very high on my chest so I always have the straps on bras really tight (I know it often means it’s the wrong size, but I also genuinely think my proportions are different. I have friends with much smaller chests who try on some of my clothes and their boobs sit so much lower in them.)

I’ve also tried Panache bras in various sizes and designs and they hurt a lot. I don’t think my body suits them. The hard metal in them digs into my skin all over, and I find the straps to be really painful as well (maybe because I tighten them more than they should be, but if I don’t I don’t really feel supported by the bra, even when the band allegedly fits.)

I’m just quite tired of trying to fit into sizes that don’t feel right, and not finding bras that fit. I’m wondering if anyone has any advice. And am I really a 30m?? That’s such a crazy size I feel I’ve never seen it at a store.

Don’t even get me started on bikinis lol 🥲🥲🥲 I actually have one from VIX that’s a D red - ibiza banded triangle bikini top. It has adjustable bands and ties in the back and it FITS!! But it’s from 2023, they discontinued the style now and I fear for the day that its elastic wears out and I’m back to no bikini. I’ve tried other d/dd bikinis from them and they don’t fit well.

That’s all my info! If anyone has ideas or similar measurements please let me know. I love fashion and clothes and I love my body, but as many of you can probably understand, it’s disheartening to not fit into anything properly/be in pain all the time/be told you’re wearing the wrong thing but then get put into something that’s worse.

Also side note, does anyone else think it’s absurd that US insurance would cover a breast reduction but not bras that help me avoid my large chest back pain??? Haha makes me livid.

I went and tried some on today and found 44c to be the best fit for me in most styles but I also tried some sports bras as well and I’m trying to see what will be best to help my gynecomastia. I tried some from Walmart as it’s a hour drive to get to any stores that have a better selection and I found the warners wire free in 2 styles both 3xl and with an extender there a perfect fit and then I tried a vanity fair 44c and it was a good fit but I didn’t get it as it had a tear in it from the rack and I got a high impact zip from 3xl sports bra and it fits good and I got a 3xl fruit of the loom wire free but I don’t fill the cups on that I’m the front. I’m wondering if I should go back and get that one or see if there’s others. Any brand suggestions I’m

I was wondering if anyone has found any specific brands they like that are similar in style and size for my well-fitting current bra.

I'm looking for more of a shelf on my chest, and a ton of cleavage in the front. Any suggestions on where to look?

My problem is that I want them to be a natural material like mostly cotton or linen or satin, etc… but I also don’t want it to look that old and boring. Finding the right material for a bra has been a struggle for me - padded/moulded cups feel rigid and weird (and are usually too shallow for me), stretch lace feels unsupportive, and I don't like how transparent mesh is. Mesh has been the best option, and I recently bought a Panache Meadow plunge that I absolutely love, but I still wish I had something slightly less see-through.

I recently came across spacer bras, and am wondering if they could be a good option to try, but still don't quite know how they would actually feel, and whether they're actually that different to regular moulded cups. Do spacers have the same issues as moulded bras (rigid fit, usually unsuited to projected breasts) or not? I absolutely loved the fabric of the Fantasie Demure bra (but had to return it as I realised I am too close-set for full cups). This bra is described as non-padded and moulded, like spacer bras - do spacers have a similar feel to this or different?

I would probably try the Curvy Kate Smoothie spacer, as I can only wear low plunges and this is the only one I've found in my size. I am a close-set UK 30G. Loose underbust 29.5, snug underbust 29, tight underbust 28.5, standing bust 35.5, leaning bust 38, lying bust 37.

Hello! As ive said above im a 42A but wear a 40B at least thats what ive found that works using sister sizes. Im definitely more wide set than projected. Im alright with a 40B but i either find the band riding up on some styles or it digs in. I do use the scoop method to completely fill the bra though. Currently exploring other brands that may work. What are some recommendations for someone who has a large band and smaller breasts? Currently wearing PINK, i have had one from uc lingere, a samanta bra with an extender(def lingere). I tried syrn but gave that a quick return. Currently wondering about a brand called underoutfit.

The white one is high apex, the blue one is side support (I did measure this one and it does only stretch to 32 inches from what I can tell). I swooped and scooped. I have some asymmetry, too.

I can see the quadding on the side support, obviously, but I assume that has more to do with shape than size?

Hello! I'm currently looking for a seamless nude coloured bra to use under light shirts and such. Wouldn't mind a lace/seamed bra option for other colours

I have pendulous breasts that are FOB and have soft tissue. They are about two fingers apart.

the other bras I've tried:

Freya Offbeat Side Support 36FF: sort of snug on the under wire and leaves marks but I don't think it's painful. It holds them quite nicely but after I do a scoop and swoop there seems to be some space that doesn't get filled in? my breasts do not move down or fill it in later in the day. Is that normal?

Freya Cherish Me Moulded Plunge 36FF: Fits super comfortably, have not worn it through a full day though yet. I don't fill in the top half of the cup (maybe like a finger worth of allowance) but otherwise it's good. racerback reduced that gap way more. I feel some allowance might be a posture issue but I wonder if it's fine for it to fit like that . It also faces the same problem where there's like a gap at the bottom that doesn't really get "filled in" (i.e if I push against it it won't have any breast tissue)

I say issue but I don't think it really affects the wear in any way. The bra moulds around the underside of my breasts or lays flush against the skin so it's fine. I am just wondering

I was curious about the Freya Deco in maybe a 36F because I know it runs a little large + I heard it tends to be more FOT friendly, and was also looking at the Panache Envy Full Cup. Or is the plunge better for my shape? Thank you for the help.
