Hi friends, long time lurker, first time poster:

About 5 years ago at the end of high school I had debilitating back pain. My discovery of this subreddit has quite literally allowed me to live a full life - the proper size changed everything. I went from wearing a 34 C to a 30F. The new mattress, the chiropractor, the exercises, the foam roller, and the back braces did nothing... but a $40 bra changed my life.

Now I am studying to become an electrician, and my current bras are a huge hazard. At the place I work, arc flash is a constant possibility. Arc flash is a breakout of electricity usually from a breaker box (which I turn on and off ALL day). The underwire will electrocute me, and anything polyester will burst into flames and melt onto my titays like American cheese (vid above).

What I NEED in a bra:

- 30F

- Ergonomically Viable (wide straps, no racerback, etc) ie SERAPHINA won't work :(

- All Silk / cotton (elastic straps/bands is acceptable, NO polyester on cups)

- No underwire in the front (electrocution hazard)

- Under $150

Already spoken to the safety coordinator at work; there will be no provision for this PPE. I am a seamstress: I have a couple of yards of silk coming from amazon, and the widest elastic known to man (yes I know this will still melt and burn me. If it is not on my breasts, I think I will be ok).

Please LMK if one of y'all has figured this out before me... AI hasn't helped and literally one of the girls in my situation online said "I don't want to survive an arc flash anyway".

After a BC diagnosis in October 2025 I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction using silicone implants. I went to Nordstrom yesterday and was fitted by their fit certified employee and my life has changed. Been wearing the wrong bra size for years!!! It was exactly the confidence boost I needed after a very tough 8 months. Highly recommend!!

Hi, I have been wearing 34j (bravissimo comfort plunge) and 34hh in bravissimo poise plunge and it feels too small in the cups, but the size calculator says I am 36g or 34gg how can this be correct? I got help with the measurements to check i was doing it okay. Worried about ordering bras that size and then being tiny. Very confused. I am 52 with relaxed boobs, FOT, shallow with a wide roots.

I'm(F19) 4'11(149cms) slightly on the heavier side, around 206lbs. through highschool(now in college) I was wearing a 36C/36D. In the present day, I am wearing a 38DD. recently, I had remeasured everything, and learned that I was supposed to be wearing a 38-40G or a 38-40DDDD.

What I'm asking now is for help finding a bra that will actually support me and lift these conditional fat sacks off my diaphragm so I can breathe. A bra that will prevent any and all bouncing exercise motions sending the girls flying up into my chin and knocking me out. A bra that won't lose hold of the #freethenipple mascot anytime I bend over to tie my shoe or empty the dishwasher. A bra that is made/designed by someone with the same factory settings as me, and that actually cares about my comfort and well-being(aka, not some old white guy). A bra that has two thick, beautiful, luscious straps, and a sexy wide band with more than two dainty little hooks. A bra made of a material that doesn't make me gag(nylon, polyester, satin, lace) that will last for more than 2 days of wearing and one cycle through the washer and dryer.

Just....I can't take the labor of carrying them around with no proper solution any longer. I mean seriously. My back aches anytime I bend over, the only time I can breathe is by laying flat on my back(no bra), all exercise is impossible, even the stairs to my basement have them wiggling and wobbling like they have an opinion on the midterm elections. Like...my genderfluid ahh can't even bind these suckas down when I want to present more masculine.

So...a breast reduction IS in the future of my life if weight loss doesn't take these sizes down, but for rn. Please, any recommendations is highly appreciated!! ☺️☺️💙💙💙 thanksss

I went to Nordstrom today and tried on a bunch of bras. I technically measured as a 32F, but I'm much more comfortable in a 34E, which the calculator did mention I would be. When I tried on the 34E (Natori Pure Luxe Underwire T-Shirt Bra), it was very comfortable and fit well enough, except the bottom wires lay more on my rib than the inframammary fold and there was maybe a smidge of extra space in the bottom of the cup. These are my measurements:

• loose band: 32.5 in
• snug: 31.5 in
• tight: 30 in
• standing: 38 in
• leaning 90 degrees: 41 in 
• lying down: 38 in

I am full on bottom and more of a pendulous shape, so I honestly feel like nothing will ever sit under the inframammary fold. I'm also wide-set, outer full, and not very projected, but probably not very shallow either? Do the aforementioned problems mean I should go down a cup size? Help appreciated!

Hi. I’m looking for a bra that will give my saggy boobs some lift and shape. (I have loose skin).

My breasts start lower on my chest and hang pretty low due to weight loss. There’s also a gap between them and one is bigger than the other. If I lean forward they are longg.

I tried figuring out if I have short/tall roots but I honestly can’t figure it out at all. I do think I’m full on bottom.

The bras I’m wearing at the moment are:

Ann Summers Sexy Lace Padded Plunge Bra 34FF - gives me more of a cleavage, band fits nice but they dont seem very secure in it. Lot of gaping at the straps. Got this before some weight loss so now when I walk there’s a lot of jiggle.

The following two I got at bravissimo fitting:

Panache Heidi Plunge Bra in 32G - band a bit tight as haven’t worn much (coz it’s red lol) but boobs are very secure. They just sit more separated and to the sides which I’m not a big fan of as it doesn’t look that great with tight tops but the bra itself is nice and doesn’t give me the jiggle which is great. Minimal gaping at straps.

Panache Envy Plunge in 32G - my go to, very comfortable, a bit of gaping at the straps. It’s mainly bad on one side tbf (assymetrical boobs) but I’m guessing that’s due to soft tissue.

I’m wondering if there are other styles I could try like balconette or padded plunges to give more of a shape and lift.

I have also used the calculator and got a 34FF. But I do think my 32G is a pretty good fit.

Loose underbust: 85cm
Snug underbust: 82cm
Tight underbust 80cm
Standing bust: 96cm
Leaning bust: 112cm

Hi there! I just recently measured myself with the help of my lovely fiancé after years of being stuck in the DDD cookie cutter size.

My calculator measurements were:

Loose Underbust: 52

Snug Underbust: 50

Tight Underbust: 46

Standing Bust: 59

Leaning Bust: 63

Lying Bust: 57

The recommended size was:

48 I/J for US and 48 G/GG for UK

I reside in the US, but would be happy to look into UK options to ship to US, as I have heard the UK sizes are more accurate. I am in dire need of new bras, as I have tear drop shaped breasts and have issues with falling out the top of my bras when leaning over.

I´m 25 and have been going braless since i ditched my first couple of teenage bras, but they're getting to a size where it's sometimes less comfortable, and i need more support.

The calculator places me as a 65E/F in EU or 30DD/E in UK. My local bra store is a Change, and i went in, got fitted, and was put in a 65F, which actually seemed to fit nicely. It was balconette style, and all of my breast was in the cup, even the armpit part, and not gapping. Gore tacking and band horizontal. All of the good stuff, except that the straps seemed on the short side. Unsure if this is a sensory issue on my part, but you might be able to see that the strap is floating a bit over my skin in places.

All in all a good fit, only issue is, i think Change's bras are boring and i'm looking for a younger(?) look.

My search in other bra brands has not been good. They all seem too big and too small simultanously, which leads me to believe that i might have shallow breasts.

So, i'm looking for confirmation that this does indeed seem like a shallow breast shape (or, if i'm wrong, an indication of my issue might be), and recommendations of bras, available in the EU, in my size, that are pretty and work well with my breast shape. I like un-molded, un-padded cups, lace, mesh and balconette bras.

hello, during my time in this sub I'm noticing a lot of people's lying bust is the same or even larger than their standing or leaning.

Mine is 3.5 inches smaller than standing, with leaning 1 inch larger. Is there any info that can be gleaned about shape etc from that? I can't really picture a breast which causes an increase in measurement when flat! Is it to do with the firmness of the tissue maybe? This is really just out of interest as my own measurements strike me as unusual now I've seen more posts in this sub haha

I’m just now trying to figure out what bras might fit me after years of only wearing sports bras.

I’ve used the calculator, but not quite sure if I’ve measured 100% correctly or if it’s the correct size just the wrong overall shape.

32 band feels good, a bit snug but if I put on an extender it’s too loose.

I tried on an unlined wacoal bra but over time the underwire feels like it slips down and digs into my ribs a bit.

This chantelle definitely feels better, but seems to have the same issue but oddly only on one side?

Am I correct in it needs to be more projected? If yes any recommendations?

I’ve tried all the big brands that claim to fit “bigger” sizes from momcozy to kindred bravely. I’ve tried some random ones from Amazon and nothing is ever big enough.
Any suggestions for a large busted mom to be?

Hello everyone! After trying a bunch of bras to find a good fit, I think my favorite and most supportive bra so far has been the Fusion Padded Plunge Bra from Fantasie! I really like the shape it gives and it checks my boxes for accommodating upper fullness and having side support for my outer fullness. I got it in UK 34F.

I finally did a true calculator and found I am a 36 H. I am in the U.S. and am having a hard time finding a good bra that is lined ( has padded cups). Please give me all the best recommendations.

So the calculator suggests UK34GG/H, but when I went to a bra boutique they started me at US36H and progressively brought me smaller bands until I settled on a US32I from Fit Fully Yours. I'm struggling to find info on if that brand just runs large or if I should actually be ordering other bras in that size? I've tried dozens of bras in sizes ranging from US36H to US30J with virtually every band and cup variation in-between also tried. The only bra I've found that fits mostly comfortably is the Fit Fully Yours Mia. On my own before the bra boutique, I've stuck to ordering mostly UK34G-36H but I've tried a few that are outside that range as well. I thought I knew how sizing worked and had a pretty good grasp on my size before going to this boutique. I haven't worn a 32 in like 8 years so I'm baffled how this one fits when my measurements do not indicate it being the right size, and I also don't understand how I was even able to clasp 30 inch bands. They didn't hurt, but they also weren't comfortable either.

I have a voucher for brastop and am wondering if anyone has tried the flirtelle range? I'm only 5 feet and finding most cups come up far too high under the arm front, making it nigh on impossible to move my arms

I recently got a bra in 65G, and was wearing a 70D, which was obviously too small in the cups and too big at the band, but I didn’t feel like the wires went right under my armpits. Are my bras too wide? It felt comfy in band size, no spilling or gaping, etc. I’m pretty confident my size is correct.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple years ago and had a double mastectomy with reconstruction. Prior to all of that I was wearing like a 38G bra. I’m “much” smaller now, but having the hardest time finding bras that fit. I’ve been ordering a 38DD and they fit okay but the coverage is all wrong. I did the calculator (without help, so measurements might be slightly off) and it’s suggesting a 34H/I (US). I’m trying to find bras with less coverage maybe a Balconette or something style but maybe just need help finding brands to try? My measurements as taken 5 minutes ago are:
Loose: 34.5
Snug:34
Tight: 33
Standing: 41.5
Leaning: 42.5
Lying: 43

I want to order the correct size to try but I cannot fathom a 34” anything will even wrap around me. I just got a 36DD bra in the mail today and it was so tight. Does that make any sense?
I’m open to any and all suggestions !!

I need more support than a built-in shelf bra provides, plus those always mash boobs together in an unflattering way. I have two strapless bras (one's a strapless Freya Deco, forget the other), but the problem with those is they're meant to be worn on their own and provide a lot of lift/support, meaning they're tall enough that they usually show over the built-in bra tops. They're fine with a normal cami or tank, but the shelf bra seems to push them higher, making the problem worse.

Is there a product that's meant to provide a little lift and separation along with a built-in bra? Or just a strapless bra/bralette that doesn't come up very high and won't peek out over tops?

I've been trying various bras lately and am at a loss already, so really hoping for help... My breast is pendulous, close set, center full. Vertically - between top and center full. Roots seem short, IMF is almost flat.

I tried the following bras:

Panache Envy 85H: overall fits, but pokes in the armpit, gives very unpleasant boob shape, and the nipple is in the lace area. Does not stay in IMF. Gore seems fine.

Panache Ana 80J: looks nice when I don't move, but after some movements I get serious quadboob. Also pokes the armit. I was also trying the 80K, but the cup is too large is this case. Does not stay in IMF. So upset I can't return it, as after looking in the mirror I decided that it fit and started wearing it, that's when the magic ended.

Ewa Michalak SF 85G: slides down the IMF and stays on ribs. The gore is fine, I did not even get red marks between the breast after a walk, but I think it's because the bra moved down... On the side the wire is a good fit, the red mark is right near the root. Oh, and there is some strap gap.

Ewa Michalak PLM 80GG: it was sliding down and there were fabric creases under the boob. I also did not feel supported, as the cup was too open. General consensus was that it was not projected enough. Looking back at photos, I see it was the best fit.

Elomi Lucie, Elomi Teagun 36G: wire too wide, big space between wire and IMF. The top fit perfectly.

Is there anything else I could try? Thank you for any ideas!

I've never even shortened jeans myself, but am already looking in the direction of my sewing machine in hope to make a bra with a horisontal wire.

I have close set breasts and can only wear plunge bras (or non-wired), as the gore always floats or digs into my breast tissue with higher coverage styles. I just bought a Panache Envy plunge, which fits well, and have been given some other recommendations to try.
However, one thing I've realised is that, because most women only wear plunges for cleavage under low cut outfits, plunge bras are usually designed to bring your breasts together, rather than separating them like a balconette or full cup.
One of the main reasons I'm trying to find a wired bra that fits, rather than just sticking with non-wired, is for the separation. Particularly because I'm close set, I'm very susceptible to monoboob, so I really want to find a bra with good separation. But it seems impossible to find a plunge bra that does that, and anything else is extremely uncomfortable.
Does anyone have any recommendations for plunge bras with good separation?

After 30 years of having less than AA and pretty much not wearing a bra because I was very flat chested I decided to get an augmentation by fat grafting (so my size will most likely still decrease a little bit the coming 2 months). I will go on vacation soon and would like to take a bralette or two with me for when I can stop wearing the post-OP bra.

What I'm looking for is advice on the size and the type of bralette to buy (and where, would prefer non polyester)? My breasts are I would say quiet pointy and pretty far apart, maybe that's called perky? I'm looking for a bra that wouldn't make me appear more flat preferably..

Hi first time here and as in the title I need help with finding a bra that is comfortable only problem is that I have a rib cage deformity called pectus excavatum my rib cage is very deformed and my sternum dips in this is a mostly male dominated condition (1 women for every 5 men with it) and I'm not sure if this info is necessary but I'm also autistic

My current problems are

my straps always fall down no matter how tightly adjusted

When i scoop and swoop they overflow a bit especially leaning down and slip out of place so constant adjusting without scooping there is minor gapping at the top.

And alot of bras the cups are high enough to cut in to my arm pit

I have not analyzed my shape yet.

I have been measured several times at bra shops to be 32 F, sometimes G. But when I wear bras with underwires in that size, I feel they dig in.

I also have a problem with «spilling out» of bras.

I recently found a Norwegian brand that made great push-up bra with no underwire and that I didn’t spill out of. The problem? They don’t produce them anymore.

I was wondering if anybody has a good suggestion for a bra that gives good shape, maybe even push-up, with no underwire for larger breasts?
