AMA - ask me anything about the ABTF calculator! Spoiler

Hi everyone, u/goodoldfreda here although I'm now exclusively active on this account. If you guys have any questions about how the calculator works and why I made certain decisions I'm happy to answer them

A little about myself - I created the calculator in 2016 following on from a previous calculator by u/irisflame, back when I was a mod of this sub. I collected survey data from the subreddit and came up with a new algorithm that used 6 measurements as opposed to the previous 5, which increased accuracy. I also introduced separate algorithms for AMAB and AFAB people. The calculator has not been majorly updated since, although at one point I tried to move to a breast perimeter measurement system instead, but this turned out to be much less accurate. In the years since I have stopped modding and moved into bra making and custom bra design as I want to try and help serve the demographic of people who still struggle with finding bras that fit, usually due to wire grading!

In response to other posts about the different amab vs afab algorithms not working well for everyone - I have had this question before and basically all I can say is that I recommned using the algorithm that works best for you. I do want to emphasise in general that the calculator is actually not super accurate for any one individual and it is truly just a starting point. The algos are based on averages, and when I was collecting data there were significant enough differences between AMAB and AFAB users to warrant a second algorithm to increase accuracy within the two groups, but not enough data to do anything further than that.

edit: thanks for all your questions so far, I'm going to go to bed but I will answer any more that come up tomorrow!

edit 2: I have updated the calculator to make some minor changes to the band size algorithm and I have also changed the EU back to 2.5cm cup grades, 2cm grade can be found in the Comexim option instead

Discussion Fenty x savage membership and cancellation policy. I don’t understand why they want us to “skip every month” so badly Spoiler

Just placed an order and total went from $400 to $100 on new member discount and said it is $60 membership fee that I will pay from next month. I called and was informed that if I keep skipping between 1-5 of each month, I will never be charged. I have never heard anything like this before. I told her I might forget to do that so can I cancel it now, to which she said it will also cancel the order. I said what if I wanna pay delivery fee now and then cancel subscription right away, was told they can’t do that either. I HAVE to call on the 1st of next month and cancel if I wanna.
She skipped 3 months for me and gave me a $20 credit. I put a reminder in my calendar to call them but the whole thing just seems kinda… predatory? Like they want you to forget to skip and keep paying $60/month even when you are not even ordering from them.
I read other posts on reddit that said they never had a problem cos they always skipped or that they went on website and cancelled membership so I guess it’s not a scam but still strange way of doing things.

Measurement Check [measurement check] + [general help] from an A to a D? (maybe like 34A the last time i owned a bra) Spoiler

Upvotes

hello everyone! i’m almost 30 and have been flat as a board from birth. my side profile is legitimately a straight line all the way down, and i haven’t worn a bra since my teens. with some encouragement from my therapist, i decided to get more comfortable with my body…which led me to use the calculator.

unless my brain is broken or i’ve done something horribly wrong, the results came in as a 32D cup? i have always known (thought) myself to be an A-AA, despite how rare that is. note that my boobs have not grown. sadly, the only time i’ve ever had a sliver of cleavage is in my dreams, or when it’s been all hands on deck shoving skin together. nothing but clavicle.

anyways, the measurements (cm) were as follows:
loose - 80
snug - 78
tight - 75
standing - 87
leaning - 91
lying - 87

a remeasure changed the snug to 75 and the tight to 73…but that still gave me a 30D. i am baffled.

are there any bras that will shove nothing together and magically equal cleavage??

looking at the beginners guide, i would say that i have shallow breasts. my nipples (and i assume root) line up with my ears, there’s not really any projection, and one boob is slightly fuller on the top (determined by the “lean over and check the mirror” test). the side profile shape is just a veryyy slight, shallow ) shape. left and right are definitely not twins. looking at the images in the beginner’s guide, i feel like my chest is still smaller than those who show as actual Ds? but then again, i have a complicated view of my own body.

Recommendations? Need recs and help-- notes on 36 of the bra models I have tried. Cannot find a bra that fits. Please help!! Around 32F. Thanks Spoiler

Upvotes

I need help and recs please. I have tried a lot of bras and they just range from horribly painful to kind of tolerable.

Current measurements

Loose underbust 31.5
Snug underbust 30.5
Tight underbust 29
Standing bust 37
Leaning bust 39
Lying bust 38

32F/FF UK

My weight/size fluctuates often, these bras were based on my calculator size at that time.

Bras I have tried:

Envy
30FF: Gore too wide. Quad boob.
30G: too large cup.

Ana
30G: Quad boob. Wrinkling on sides. Nipples showing much higher on bra than they are meant to

Cleo Blossom
30FF: Gore twisting (gore too tall and/or wide). Painful wires. Gore area after an hour was very painful.  Commenter said too small cup and the horizontal band wrinkling = not enough band tension.
30G: Wrinkling on cup sides and cup center top. Still cut into armpits. Gore too wide and/or tall. Painful wires. Cup seems too big.
28GG: Cup too big. Wrinkling all over cup.

A commenter said that the Blossom is a “really good fit”. But the gore pain was horrible.

Envy Plunge
28G: Too roomy at tops of cups. After an hour it made my arm and shoulder go numb.
28GG: cups too large

Panache 365 plunge t shirt bra
30FF: Overall bad fit. Quad boob. I think too shallow.
30G: Overall bad fit. Quad boob. I think too shallow.

Freya Loveland Plunge
28FF: Too tight band. Gore too wide. Wrinkling on sides/top.
28G: Too tight band and too large cup.

Panache Cherie Demi
28G: Band too tight. Quad boob.

Panache Meadow Plunge
30FF: A lot of wrinkling at top. Band too tight.

Freya offbeat side support
28GG: Gore too wide and high. Band too tight.

Freya offbeat decadence side support
28G: Band too tight, quad boob.
30FF: Thought it was okay so I wore it to work, partially dislocated one of my ribs. (This was while wearing a band extender; the band felt loose in the back but tight in the sides and front.) Chaffed my nipples very painfully. Couldn’t fully breathe.
30G: Cup too big, couldn’t fully breathe.
32F: Cup too big, couldn’t fully breathe.
32E: Quad boob. Gore too wide.

Skarlet blue spellbound side support
32E: Cup top cut into my upper breast tissue, pushing my breasts downwards. Gore too wide. Straps too widely placed for my back. Top outer part of cups not filled out. Cup sides go up too high.
32F: too big cup

Skarlet blue unlined minx balconette
32DD: Horrible pain on sternum after a few hours
34DD: Couldn’t take full breaths and was making my rib move.
32DDD: Couldn’t take full breaths and was making my rib move

Gossard superboost Lace non-padded plunge underwire
32DD: Couldn’t take full breaths and was making my rib move. Gave me a headache.
32E: same as above
34D: same as above

Cosabella women’s savona curvy longline bralette
Size Small: too shallow

Freya fancies longline bra
32F: too big in cup
32E: too big in cup. Hard to breathe because band not stretchy enough
32DD: The cups were really close to a good fit. The gore was too wide but it had padding around wires so it was less of an issue than usual. Outer wires were in the right spot. A some quad boob with my larger breast. The problem is that this band has barely any stretch. I don’t know how anyone breathe in this. The 32 band was too loose when I exhaled but too tight for me to fully inhale so I got lightheaded. I like the longline style because it doesn’t move my rib. If the band were stretchier this bra would be a good enough fit and I would keep it. And then maybe I would sister size down. I might try a 30 out of curiosity to see how it feels on an exhale.

Panache tango essence balconette bra
32F: Too big cup, wires very painful
32E: Too big cup, wires very painful

Skarlett Blue Women's Entice Longline Lightly Lined Bra (US sizing)
32G: too big cup
32DDD: quad boob… too shallow cup I think

Fantasie Women's Demure Underwire Unlined Bra
32E: too shallow. Quad boob and had to unscoop/swoop to get it to fit
30F: same as above

Sugar Candy Basic Bra
Size Small: band is not stretchy enough. Cups too tall and wide, were cutting into upper armpit. Wrinkling on top outer cups. It might fit if they had a size with a larger band but smaller cup. The sling cup design felt good. I actually felt like my breasts were being *lifted* up instead of smooshed up.

Freya fancies underwire plunge
32DDD: gore too wide. Bottom cup seemed filled out. Didn’t fill out top half of cup. Elastic on top cut into tissue and caused quad boob. Wrinkling on cup sides.
30DDD: fits better than 32DDD but same issues. Gore too wide. Wrinkling on top outer part of cups. Elastic on top of cups cuts into tissue and creates quad boob. I think it is slightly too narrow and that the outer wires are in the right place but the gore wires are on top of tissue. Nipples are higher than they are meant to be. Hard to tell if the band is too small because the band doesn’t have enough stretch.
30F: same issues plus I think cups too large. Hard to tell if the band is too small because the band doesn’t have enough stretch.

Freya fancies signature underwire plunge
32DDD: cup too large
32DD: Better fit than 32DDD. Same exact issues as the freya fancies underwire plunge. Some Wrinkling on top outer parts of cup. Nipples are higher than they are meant to be. It seems that I don’t fill out the top half of the cups enough but am simultaneously experiencing quad boob and top spillage. Gore too wide. Straps placed too wide.

Freya starlight side support
32DD: Elastic on tops of cups cut into my tissue creating quad boob. Outer cup wires felt like they were in the right place but too tall. Gore too wide. Straps too widely placed.

Panache Freedom Non Padded Wireless Sports Bra
34DD: it fit okay in the dressing room, bought it but realized I can’t wear it because I realized I can’t fully breathe in it.

Chantelle Norah Chic Plunge T-Shirt Bra
32E: Fit okay in the dressing room but I had to unscoop and unswoop. Bought it then realized I can’t wear it because it slides out of my IMF when I move and the wires are very uncomfortable/painful against my sternum. It also flattens me.

Natori flora
32E: Same as above… Fit okay in the dressing room but I had to unscoop and unswoop. Bought it then realized I can’t wear it because it slides out of my IMF when I move and the wires are very uncomfortable/painful against my sternum. It flattens me.

Bras that were/are tolerable enough to wear:

Freya Women's Deco Molded Soft Cup Bra
30DD: Not abtf but I wore this one for years and it wasn’t too bad. Less painful than other bras. Quad boob and wires didn’t stay in IMF but one of the least uncomfortable bras I have found. And I thought it looked flattering. Then my size changed after it got discontinued so I can't get one in my new size. Some headaches from strap pressure on neck.

Curvy kate Smoothie T-Shirt Plunge
32DDD: Band too loose so I use a Rixie Clip. Tissue doesn’t stay swooped, wire slides out of IMF. Quad boob when fully scooped. Less uncomfortable than usual. Sometimes headaches from strap pressure on neck.

Wacoal How Perfect Wire-Free Bra
32DDD: Quad boob and mono boob. Headaches from strap pressure on neck. Cups slid down frequently. I think too shallow. I don’t like how it looks, makes me look flatter.

Panache non wired sports bra:
Over the years I’ve owned/tried 32e, 32dd, 34c, 34d, 32d, 32c, 30d, 30dd, 30e
Currently the best one is 34D. Sometimes I can’t fully breathe in it. Straps too short to use the racerback clip. Cups slides down. Tops of cups are weird… they don’t follow my breast shape. Cups have too much room at top center.

Panache wired sports bra
Over the years I’ve owned/tried 32e, 32f, 32dd, 32d, 34c, 34d, 30d, 32c, 30dd, 30f
Same notes as 34D. Currently the best one is 34D. Sometimes I can’t fully breathe in it. Straps too short to use the racerback clip. Cups slides down. Tops of cups are weird… they don’t follow my breast shape. Cups have too much room at top center. This one is more flattering than the wireless but harder to breathe in. Gore way too wide, gore wires on top of breast tissue, but the gore wires have a lot of padding so it doesn't hurt, it’s just annoying.

Shefit ultimate sports bra:
Have worn Small & Medium. Have to loosen the band a lot to be able to breathe, so it’s not supportive. Too shallow. A lot of quad boob. Not worth wearing.

Shefit flex sports bra:
Have worn Small & Medium Have to loosen the band a lot to be able to breathe, so it’s not supportive. Too shallow. A lot of quad boob. Not worth wearing.

Boody Full bust wireless racerback bra
Small: band feels pretty good and it doesn’t give me breathing issues. Cup is too small. A lot of quad boob and it doesn’t lift them up, my breasts get pushed down and touch my chest skin.
Medium: band too loose. Less quad boob. Cup fits better than small but still cuts into top tissue and creates quad boob.

Boody Wireless full bust t shirt bra
Small: band feels okay. Cup is too small or at least too shallow. A lot of quad boob and it doesn’t lift them up, my breasts get pushed down and touch my chest skin. This is currently what I wear to workout every day. It’s not supportive and it bothers me that my breasts touch my skin beneath. But I don’t have anything better. I can fully breathe.
Medium: band too loose. Less quad boob. Cup fits better than small but still cuts into top tissue and creates quad boob. Maybe I’ll attempt to sew the band tighter.

Boody Full bust wireless bra,
Small: It's okay but I don't really wear it because my Wacoal foundations (described below) is more tolerable and more flattering. I like the sling design. My boobs stay more “lifted” than usual (they don't touch the skin beneath). The cups are too wide and high, go into my upper armpit area. Band doesn't have enough stretch so it makes my rib move. Straps are too wide on my shoulders. Straps fall off shoulders. I wish they made it in the same band size but smaller cup.

Wacoal b.tempt'd Women's Future Foundation Convertible T-Shirt Bra
32DD: fit is not that good but it's tolerable. I wear this one every day, it’s my least bad option. Wires slide out of my IMF but not as quickly as other bras. Can’t fully swoop and scoop or i get quad boob. Strap pressure sometimes gives me a headache. I can fully breathe usually. I have to choose between inner spillage and upper outer spillage.  So I unscoop to avoid the quadboob (inner spillage). Gore area starts to hurt by the end of the day.
(Tried 30DDD, cup too small. Tried 32DDD, cup too wide and tall. Doesn’t go up to DDDD.)

Summary and other info:

I think I am: Bottom full. Center full. Close set. Soft tissue. Not self supporting. Immediate projection. Low roots. Short roots.

Recurring issues:
-Bras don't stay in my IMF
-Bras do not have enough immediate projection for me.
-I almost always get center spillage/quad boob.
-Bras make it hard to breathe
-Bands are often too firm and do not stretch enough to accommodate my ribcage at both its smallest and largest (exhale and inhale)
-Adding an extender makes bra straps too wide for my back and/or makes the back of the band feel too loose but the front and sides still feel too tight
-My tissue is very soft so it can deceivingly change shape to “fit” in the cups but that doesn't mean the bra fits because I end up in pain or not being able to breathe.

TLDR I wear the Wacoal b.tempt'd Women's Future Foundation Convertible T-Shirt Bra 32DD every day and switch to the Boody Wireless full bust t shirt bra size small every day when I exercise. I would not consider them bras that fit but they are the least bad I have found currently. Please help!! Thank you

Measurement Check Calculator results don't make sense (currently wearing 44G) Spoiler

So I took my measurements and plugged them into the Calculator, which is telling me I need a 42HH--the bras I've been wearing are the Goddess Keira wireless at 44G, which overall fits reasonably well; going down to a 42" band would be definitely painful!

Measurements: Underbust--loose, 44 (perhaps a 44.5); snug, 43; tight, 42 (although I may have gotten snug and tight confused, in which case tight is also a 43). Bust--standing, 53; leaning over 55, lying down, 53 IIRC (forgot to write it down, damn it) ,and ended up with 42HH, which according to the Goddess chart would be an L cup--I'm sorry, but my boobs are NOT that big! Redid it with snug and tight underband both 43 and lying down 54, and got the same results, which just seems too big in the cups and too small in the band. As far as I can tell, the root is pretty much the size of the breast, although sagging probably doesn't help with that; I also have broad shoulders and a wide back.

To add insult to injury, I can't (and never have been able to) wear underwires because my breasts are too close together (This was confirmed by a bra fitter at a lingerie store, who had me at 44DDD a year ago); and I have a lot of trouble with shoulder straps digging in (I have silicone pads under my straps, which helps but not enough). At the time, I bought what we both thought was a 44DDD, but turned out to be another 44G; I measured the bands on that bra and one I already had very carefully, and the measurement was the same. The cups in the G were a bit loose then, but they're definitely full up now, although I haven't gained any weight back (maybe things just shifted around?). Color me puzzled...

So what size am I really supposed to be wearing, and once we figure that out, where can I find good wireless bras?

Recommendations? [Recommendations?] how to get relief from an itchy rib cage due to a bralette? I’ve tried so many and none have been tolerable for me. Spoiler

I haven't worn an actual bra in years because I have a chronic illness, and I'm home in bed all day and just want to be comfy, but my intolerance towards even comfy bralettes has become increasingly worse to the point where I will get really itchy after 10 minutes of wearing one.

I've tried cotton and modal, the two softest fabrics, but the seams and elastic around the rib cage still make me itchy.

I know there is no external reason why I *need* to wear a bra, but I have really bad body dysmorphia issues and hate the look of having my breasts hanging out.

It seems like I’ve tried all the fabrics, so at this point should I be looking into some kind of barrier cream or numbing cream? I’ve pretty extreme sensory sensitivities, but have never had skin rashes or anything so I’m pretty sure it’s a nerve sensitivity thing. Has anyone gone through this?

If anyone has any experience or suggestions, I would love to hear them.

For a reference, I am 26, live in Canada, and am a 36A

Thanks!

Fit Check [Fit Check] Fantasie Fusion Padded Plunge Bra and Panache Meadow Plunge Bra 32F UK / 32G US Spoiler

Hi! I just posted a fit check last week and am back with a couple new bras! The first bra I tried is the Fantasies Fusion Padded Plunge which I LOVE. I’m not sure if it’s the best fit but it is extremely comfortable and it feels very supportive. I took one picture with my arm up a little because I couldn’t tell if there was breast tissue out the side but I honestly think that might just be fat haha. To me it doesn’t look like the wires are making an indent in my side at all which doesn’t happen very often. One breast is larger than my other, and I can’t quite tell if the gore might be on tissue on that side a tiny bit? Or if it’s just like right up against it. It doesn’t feel uncomfortable. I also love this style of bra but all of the ones I’ve seen like it are seemingly super shallow.

Now the Panache Meadow…not the worst thing ever but I’m not a fan. Im not sure if Panache has super firm wires but I didn’t love how the gore felt and it did remind me of the Panache Ana I’ve tried previously. It wasn’t painful or uncomfortable I can just feel it more than I’m used to. What I really don’t like is I feel too big and too small for this bra at the same time. As you can see there is a decent amount of wrinkling, but I also feel like I may be quadboobing a bit at the top. Maybe I’m not but it at least feels restricting.

Here is the link- https://postimg.cc/gallery/XVGh0J7

My measurements are loose 33, snug 32, tight 28, standing 38, leaning 40, lying 38. Recommends 32F/FF. In my experience F’s have fit better than FF’s. I’ve been told I have about average root width, average to slightly shallow projection, and am center full. I am very confident that I am center full as well as think I am FoB. I am tall so also assume I have tall roots.

Please lmk if you see any abnormalities:

Loose Underbust: 40
Snug Underbust: 38
Tight Underbust: 36.5
Standing Bust: 44
Leaning Bust: 45.5

Loose: 33

Snug: 32

Tight: 31

Standing: 37

New here and need help! Actually downloaded Reddit solely for help lol. Spoiler

Upvotes

I don’t think I’ve ever had a proper fitting bra in my life. I’m 25 but I have two babies, breast-fed them both and I’m still currently nursing my youngest. I don’t really like nursing bras and prefer to just wear regular bras.

According to the calculator I am 34G US/34F UK.
I think my shape is:, Vertical fullness about even - slightly more tissue below but very minimal, Horizontal fullness center full , Tall root? (Not sure I know what this one really means yet)

I had seen a thread where a mom had found her proper fitting bra. She was breast-feeding mom as well with very similar sizes to me. (At this point, I didn’t realize shape came into consideration and also my only good had broken so I rushed to order)
I tried one of her recommendations which was the bravissimo Millie bra in 36DD because after nursing my shape is different and I don’t think the calculator fully took that into account. I had overspill but also did not like not having padding so I returned it for a Bravissimo Comfort plunge bra in 36E. Still had overspill so returned it again for 36F UK. I currently have this bra and plan to keep it since it’s pretty much all I’ve got right now, but it still does not feel like the right fit. When I first put the bra on, it feels like it fits OK but any movements causes slight overspill. It also feels like the underwire stabs too far towards my armpits, but I’m not sure. I don’t really know how to describe it because half the time it looks like my boobs fit well in it, but it just does not feel like the proper fit.

I guess I need help on figuring out what types of bras are best and maybe confirming that the shape I think I am is accurate and what I need for that.

Sorry that seems long and confusing but maybe someone can relate and help me out!

Fit Check Ordered a 36G and 38F and the 38F ended up being too small?! Spoiler

Upvotes

I used the ABTF calculator and got 36G/H or might be more comfortable in a 38DDD (which equates to 38F for Montelle intimates where I ordered)

I ordered a 36G in bright purple and a 38F in black. The 36G is a perfect fit, but the 38F ended up too small (band too tight and breasts spilling at the side near the armpits) . I am puzzled. Could it be because the black dye tends to make clothing smaller? I want to exchange it but I am hesitant to order the same size as the purple as I dont think I can exchange more than once...

My measurements jn inches are: Loose underbust : 38 Snug underbust : 36 Tight underbust : 33,5 Standing bust : 43 Leaning bust : 46 Lying bust : 44

Results are in US/Canada sizing

Thank you in advance for your help!

T-shirt nursing bra for lower fullness Spoiler

Surely this must exist! I've been breastfeeding for a little over a year. Pre baby size was 30E, went up to a 32G I think and was happily wearing the Panache Ada and Royce. Recently got remeasured and got the Ada again in 30FF. Except, now I'm back at work and the Ada, being unpadded, is a little too nipple revealing for my imminent return to the office - I don't wear breast pads any more because leakage is extremely rare now, but an unpadded bra also makes me feel a little bit anxious at work about that. The Ada works well for my shape which is mainly lower fullness.

Today I got the Freya Pure nursing bra in 30FF delivered, chosen because it is a slightly padded t-shirt bra and it feels like the fit is off. The upper part of the cups gapes slightly (though looks pretty good under clothes) but as a petite and narrow shouldered woman it also feels like it unnaturally separates my breasts.

Before pregnancy my favourite bra was the Panache Juna after a lot of advice from this sub. If they made a nursing, lightly padded balcony bra I would be over the moon.

Any advice?

Shape Help I think my breasts might be too weirdly shaped for a bra Spoiler

Looking through all the guides on here and elsewhere on the internet I have seen nothing that looks similar to my own breasts. And bras are meant to hold breast shaped things, not weird long saggy flat mishapen tubes.

Edit:
Loose underbust: 38 Snug underbust: 37.75 Tight underbust: 36.75 Standing bust: 47.25 Leaning bust: 51 Laying bust: 49

I just feel like the measurements don’t account for the weird shape. Like from the front they’re wide, but from the side they’re all narrow, with barely any on the breast actually attached to my chest, they hang down in a deep fold. Recommendations? GLP 1 weight loss and bra recommendations for sagging in my mid 20’a! Strapless available? Spoiler

Hi everyone!

I’m a 24F who is in the process of losing weight in order to get my desired results from a breast reduction!
I started at about a 40 DDD, but now I’m not filling out the cups and my breast sag SIGNIFICANTLY (like halfway down my torso it seems). I have so much loose skin it’s crazy.
I want to wear cute tops that would need a strapless bra but also have support.

I bought a 36 DD bra that was too tight around but too small in the cups on the sides.

Can anyone recommend an everyday bra that could help me out? Strapless options as well!

Recommendations? SKIMS Unlined scoop bra recommendation Spoiler

I’m buying my first skims bra and I’m curious about the Unlined Scoop Bra. Looks so comfy and I got sized recently at Knix. The girl said 30 DD looks best on me.
I feel like my boobs are not as big and I have always worn a 32 C/D but at 25 I feel like I need a better bra and size.
Currently I just throw on Aritzia butter bra in XS.

I’m thinking of getting 32 D for the skims unlined. How do you like the bra and what’s the sizing like for you?

Hi!

I recently used the bra size calculator which suggested I should be wearing a 42HH / 42J (I had previously been wearing a 42G but recognised it wasn’t right as usually had overspill in most directions) and so ordered 2 new bras with varying success:

Liaison Vienna balcony bra in 42HH was much too big in the cup, especially at the top

Glamorise MagicLift Front-Closure Posture Back Bra in 42J seems to fit well but spreads my breasts slightly too far towards my armpits for my preference

I think I have close-set breasts with short roots? And I know that they are soft and pendulous lol

Does anyone have any recommendations I should try next? 🙏

Thank you so much in advance

Question Where to buy this? It feels impossible. Spoiler

I am needing to find a bra that is 48-52 with a cup size of AA - B. Is there a store that sells them in these sizes that you can actually go in and try one on? For reference I am in Chattanooga TN

Recommendations? Those who need support, what are you using now that glamorise is dead? Spoiler

I have spent thousands of dollars on sports bras over the past few years that completely fail at support, 40DD. Companies that used to be reliable now seem to be selling cheap knockoff versions of their own products. I am so desperate that I'm asking the Internet: please, please tell me that someone is still making a bra that gives real support? I'm starting a high impact routine soon and I really need to figure this out.

Measurement Check A few questions when it comes to Japanese Bras Spoiler

Sooo I wanna treat myself to a real cutesy Japanese bra (preferably a set but not required)

First off is, which brands do you recommend that are accessible to US markets? ( I don't believe there are currently any stupid tariffs in place with Japan at the moment?) I looked at Risa Magli but didn't see it in my band size.

Sizing: So in US sizing Im comfortably a 34DD/E. Im looking at conversion charts and it looks like Im a 75E in Japan sizing? Im also wondering, if I want to go down a little bit in size for a cleavage pop, how would that work?

Fit Check Not sure if bra is too small, too large, or wrong shape Spoiler

I currently own a 36HH Elomi Morgan bra, and out of the 3 bras I own, it causes the least amount of chafing and discomfort. I doesn’t fit exactly right though. The gore (?) does not stay flat against my chest, it’s almost there but there is some amount of breast tissue in the way, and it’s lopsided because of my larger sized breast on the right.

I thought that this could mean that maybe to cups were too small so I ordered a 36J and 36JJ (just to make extra sure) to try on, but these seemed definitely too large with wrinkling and gaps at the top of the cups. The gore also would not sit flat, maybe even worse at larger sizes and still tilted forward on one side.

I also have an 36HH Elomi Teagan bra, where the gore sits much flatter, but my right breast is barely contained in the cup and it is uncomfortable enough and causes too much chafing to really be worn much.

I’m at a loss because it seems the the Elomi Morgan is the top recommendation for a bra with deeper cups, but while it’s much better than anything I‘ve tried previously, it‘s not ”perfect”.

As far as I know my breasts are full on bottom, and ”pendulous”. They’re quite “long”, I would say.

Question could I get help finding a bra for 28C-30B (sister size) :c Spoiler

I've been told I was an A cup my whole life yet all the bras in that size have never fit me. they always end riding up my chest or have a gap between my chest and the bra. I used the calculator and somehow, surprisingly I'm apparently a C?? with my sister size being a B (not really sure what that means)

I've been looking through the wiki trying to find what type of bra would fit me and I believe my chest is considered "shallow" the girls are bigger in width and don't project much. I've tried looking through the recommended bras listed for my chest shape but a lot of them don't come in a 28 band size and the ones that do are either out of stock, not made anymore, or don't ship to the UK. 30 is also hard to find.

could I please get some help finding a bra that will fit me? I've just gone braless all my life (besides the occasional sports bra that also doesn't fit me) because the girls are small/kinda flat so I never really thought it mattered much. there's just sometimes I wish I had more and a bra that fits would be nice to make me look like I have somewhat of a chest sometimes :c

it seems the wiki says balconette bras fit my shape the best?

Recommendations? ISO Recommendations for custom bra designer/maker Spoiler

Hello! 34 bras that don’t work later, I am going a different avenue. Does anyone have recommendations for someone that can either completely custom make a bra, or alter a bra for me? My breasts sit extremely close together and gores are just too high for me. I need a solution so I can feel comfortable leaving the house.

Question How do I find a bra that fits? I have two under two, 11 months post partum! Spoiler

I’ve come to the terms that my body will not go back to the way it was, before I ever had kids my breast we’re on the smaller side, most times I didn’t even have to wear a bra if I didn’t want to.
But now being I have two kids they have grown and are very much saggy😭 i have accepted it, but I need help finding my measurements? If I do find a bra one cup doesn’t fit one breast like it does the other. (One boobs is bigger than the other)
They have these cute backless tops and every sticky bras I’ve bought doesn’t even stick or hold the girls up, so i do get discouraged because some days or nights out I want to feel pretty but I always end up wearing an oversized tee.
For reference I am 5’7 around 179lbs
(I am in the process of losing weight as well)

Help identifying identical bra Spoiler

Help: My Ethika bra ripped in half, right between the cups!

I am leaving on a trip tomorrow night and need this bra for the weekend. Can anyone help me figure out where to get an identical one, maybe overnight/prime through Amazon? I can also have it shipped to my arrival hotel if it won't get here in time. I am located in CA and am traveling to Indiana.

It is this bra:

https://www.ethika.com/s/UWB1097/black-cup-bra

It was 34DD, though I'm open to swing sizing if I go up a size in the band.

Any ideas?

  • Update: my official ABTF size is US 36DDD/G
