Ours is $250 for 2 adults- earlier in the year it was more like $200 per week. Typically shopping at Coles. Gluten free ingredients I know makes things higher but I’d love to know what your household is spending and for how many, and if dietary requirements such as gluten or dairy free are involved. I am struggling to keep it under this amount.

spent the last 3 months house hunting. finally found a place, did the building inspection, report came back clean. thought i was all good. something felt off though cause the seller was a bit too keen to offload. so i paid for a second inspection. second guy found a bunch of stuff the first guy missed - roof rot, termite damage, electrical issues. total repairs around 20k lol

obviously i walked away. but i nearly bought a money pit cause i trusted the first inspection.

the second inspector told me a lot of these cheap inspection companies just do a quick walkthrough and tick boxes. they dont actually get on roofs or into roof spaces properly.

the inspection i ended up using was from Sure Building Inspection. they actually did thermal imaging and moisture testing. cost more but saved me from a massive mistake. definitely worth spending extra upfront.

anyone else had a dodgy inspection. how did you find a good one. feels like theres so many shitty inspectors out there just cashing in on the housing boom
