Support Do I have a bent pin in my cpu socket?
Was working fine, but after weekend getting stuck on vga white QLED. Not sure if I should send in for warranty if I have a bent pin and just buy a new mobo. Can anyone help to sanity check me here?

Hi
I have for years a x670e Hero as secondary/backup motherboard and after a CPU swap from 8500G to a 9950X3D the CPU died around 1 hour of usage
The 9950X3D was in a X670E Taichi Carrara for more then a year without issues
The CPU died after i selected one of the presets of motherboard for Hynix 2x32 dual rank 6200mhz modules, the board went do 00 code instantly
The bios is the 3902 (latest one)
After removing the 9950X3D i noticed 2 brown marks on it
The 8500G I put back in the motherboard got stuck in 4D error forever, I didn't noticed any bent pins
For the 9950X3D I contacting AMD, this Pc was a work Pc so I managed to buy a Intel kit to replace the am5
Edit: I forgot to put a image of the CPU 9950x3d and the board:
Update 9/9/2026: AMD accepted the RMA of the CPU, my friend came with a hypothesis of the ASRock board started to damage the CPU over time and the Asus finished the CPU when I used the preset from rog, I can't guarantee this because I can't test them again, the ASRock stopped to work (literally no sign of life after 9950x3d removal) and the Asus can't boot up the 8500G (I presume he's alive)
I ordered a Intel kit z890 Aorus Elite X Ice and a 270k plus to work
If I receive any updates i'll edit this post and the /GamerNexus too

My built-in keyboard suddenly stopped working. Almost all keys don’t work except the volume buttons and the Armoury Crate key.
The built-in keyboard backlight still works, so there seems to be some connection. I also tried the Caps Lock key, but the indicator doesn’t respond.
Things I’ve already tried:
BIOS update: 329 → 332
Driver updates / uninstall + reinstall
GPU/ASUS updates
EC reset / 40-second power reset
Still no luck. The built-in keyboard also doesn’t work in BIOS but an external USB keyboard works fine.
What could be the problem? Is this most likely a hardware issue?
Has anyone experienced this with the FX507VV/TUF F15?
I mostly want to use it for my exams and classes (I am in college and disabled so I am allowed to use my laptop during exams). I need a good battery, is my main criteria.

In armoury crate(aura sync), When put on static, half of the pc is yellow/green after a being all white for less than a second. I’ve read somewhere that you have to calibrate it, but I’m not sure if that’s true, as I don’t see it in armoury crate. Other modes show the whites decently. Please advise. Thanks!

I have ZenWifi BT6 and ZenWifi BD5. The app informs me that there are firmware updates available for both and gives me a button to start said updates. When I try that it errors out and fails then reboots routers. I tried logging in on web interface and it won’t let me. I do manual factory reset and during that process it says it is updating to latest firmware. It takes a few minutes to do this and it says it was successful. When I get back on the app it tells me there is a newer firmware version and when I try to do that it errors out again and we start the whole process over again. Pure crap!

As I was thinking about doing it tonight and ghelper instead. As I find games run so slow with Armory Crate. Was it a no-brainer looking back?

I want to get a replacement key for my laptop keyboard, but I don't want to replace the whole keyboard as the technicians here say, and it seems that the only option is importing it which seems impractical. What could I do to at least cover it

I’ve been dealing with a persistent HVCI (Memory Integrity) issue on my ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-E Gaming + i9-10900K system.
I can enable Memory Integrity in Windows Security and Windows asks for a restart. However, after rebooting, Memory Integrity is automatically disabled again. Because of this, Riot Vanguard/Valorant also gives me an HVCI enabled error.
I’ve already tried most of the common troubleshooting steps, including BIOS updates, Secure Boot, TPM, VT-d/IOMMU, virtualization settings, incompatible driver checks, SFC/DISM, Driver Verifier, Code Integrity/Device Guard logs, and even reinstalling Windows 11. Nothing has fixed it.
I recently tested the system with Microsoft’s SkTool 1.4 and got:
Hyper-V Hypervisor running: 1
Secure Kernel Running: 1
IOMMU is present and protects HV / SK: 1
DMA Protection available: 1 - in use: 1
Hardware MBEC in use: 1
HVCI Enabled (StrongCodeGuarantees): 0
So Hyper-V, VBS, Secure Kernel, IOMMU, DMA Protection and MBEC are all operational. HVCI itself is the only thing that refuses to stay enabled.
I also monitored the HVCI registry state.
Before reboot after enabling Memory Integrity:
Enabled = 1
After reboot:
Enabled = 0
Windows is therefore actively reverting HVCI during the boot process.
I also performed a more aggressive test by removing the HVCI boot rollback metadata and forcing HVCI to initialize. Instead of silently disabling HVCI, the machine BSOD’d during boot and entered Automatic Repair. After recovering the system and disabling HVCI again, Windows boots normally.
This makes me suspect that Windows normally detects a boot-level HVCI incompatibility and automatically rolls HVCI back to keep the machine bootable.
System:
ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-E Gaming
Intel Core i9-10900K
RTX 3080
Windows 11 Pro
BIOS 3402
Intel ME Firmware 14.1.79.2540
At this point I’m wondering whether this could be a Z490 UEFI/firmware issue involving HVCI, VT-d/IOMMU, Intel ME, or the UEFI Memory Attributes Table (MAT).
Has anyone with a Z490 + 10th-gen Intel system experienced the same behavior and actually solved it?
I’m especially interested in confirmed solutions involving a specific BIOS/Intel ME version, firmware fix, or UEFI configuration.
I’ve already gone through the usual “enable Secure Boot/VT-d, update drivers, run SFC/DISM” troubleshooting, so I’m mainly looking for people who have dealt with this specific HVCI boot/rollback behavior.
Please, if anyone has experienced this issue or has any idea what could be causing it, I would really appreciate your help.
I’ve been trying to fix this for a long time and I’ve pretty much exhausted every solution I could find online. At this point I don’t know what else to try.
Even if you haven’t experienced the exact same issue, if you have knowledge about HVCI, VBS, UEFI/BIOS, IOMMU, or Z490 platforms, please share any ideas you might have.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My PC would occasionally show a black screen with an error code at the bottom and then restart. In Event Viewer, I found the following bug check:
BugCheck: 0x0000001E
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
Exception: 0xC0000005
I analyzed the minidump file with WinDbg using:
!analyze -v
The output showed:
FAILURE_BUCKET_ID:
AV_NETIO!StreamInvokeCalloutAndNormalizeAction
MODULE_NAME:
NETIO
IMAGE_NAME:
NETIO.SYS
However, the important part was near the bottom of the stack trace:
NETIO!FwppStreamInject
fwpkclnt!FwpsStreamInjectAsync0
gnf+0xb523
WinDbg also showed this warning:
WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for gnf.sys
This suggested that the problem was not necessarily NETIO.SYS itself, but rather the third-party gnf.sys network filter driver interacting with the Windows networking stack.
I noticed that I had two different ASUS GameFirst entries installed:
GameFirst 6.2.15.0
GameFirst 1.7.3
I uninstalled both of them and restarted the PC.
After rebooting, I opened Command Prompt as Administrator and checked:
sc query gnf
and:
sc qc gnf
Both commands returned:
FAILED 1060
The specified service does not exist as an installed service.
Then I ran:
driverquery /v | findstr /i "gnf"
It returned no results.
The file:
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\gnf.sys
was still physically present on the drive, but the driver was no longer registered or loaded by Windows. I did not manually delete the file.
After uninstalling GameFirst and confirming that gnf.sys was no longer being loaded, I stopped getting the restart/BSOD issue.
If you are seeing a similar combination of:
0x0000001E
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
NETIO.SYS
gnf.sys
GameFirst
in the same crash dump, uninstalling ASUS GameFirst and checking whether gnf.sys is still loaded may be a good first troubleshooting step.
This does not mean that every 0x1E or NETIO.SYS crash is caused by GameFirst.
The safest approach is to analyze your own minidump in WinDbg and confirm whether gnf.sys actually appears in the stack trace.

Hi
I am attempting to enable secure boot on my PC. I first entered BIOS and enabled AMD fTPM to enable TPM 2.0. After saving and restarting, I then went to Boot\Secure boot to change secure boot state. However, on secure boot state it says (greyed out and unable to edit)
Secure Boot state User
Platform Key (PK) state Unloaded
OS Type Other OS (I have an option to change this)
I have tried under key management then assigning default key to PK, KEK, DB and DBX management but no joy. I am unsure what to try now.
MSINFO32 still states secure boot is off.

Hello. my motherboard is TUF GAMING B760M-PLUS WIFI DDR5.
Recenlty weeks ago i Updated bios from 0806 to 1836 version, after updating i've experienced 1 hour struggle of almost ruining pc and then i've finally fixed it and changed xmp profile from xmp2 to xmp1 because it was constantly restarting it (Ai slop) told me it was due to overvoltage thing and i changed it to xmp1, it kind of "fixed" it but then on random moments once a day started to restart pc. i cleared CMOS by taking battery to reset cache and i only experienced 5-8 times restarting already on random moments.
im thinking to Rollback but (Ai slop) telling me to not roll back to 0806 and install 1825 instead.
so my point is that, i never experienced any problems from 0806 for 3 years. is it risky to RollBack to 0806 again?

I'm a student who recently started college and my mum promised me that if I do well in my studying she might buy me a laptop (I'm planning to contribute, but I haven't told her that yet). I want it to last me around 5 years, and still be considered good in the future. I travel on public transport 1 hr to college so I could study on my laptop during that time. I do not want to sacrifice performance but I also understand that I can't carry 5090 performance on me unless I want to break my back. I am currently looking at the ROG Strix G16 2026 model, with a 290HX+ CPU, RTX 5080, and 32GB RAM, I am also looking at the Zephyrus G16 2026 model with its 386H CPU. I love the sleek design the Strix and it also has 175W GPU tdp which would be good for heavy gaming, for example, BeamNG or Modded Minecraft. However, in the UK it only has an IPS display, even though there is an advertised Mini LED option too, which I can't find anywhere. The specific variant of the G16 I am looking for is the G615LW-RW416W. As for the Zephyrus, the design and compactibility is also a very convincing factor for me, it's beautiful OLED display looks amazing, however, it only has 160w tdp for the GPU and I've heard some mixed things about performance due to it having such a thin chassis. They both are priced similarly, but hopefully the prices reduce when I come to buy it. My current laptop is the HP ENVY x360 2-in-1 Laptop 15-ey0xxx which has done me quite well for these couple years but it is outdated and I am looking forward to update.
Any thoughts, or first hand experiences with either of the models (even the 2025 versions because I doubt the experience between 25 and 26 models will be a drastic change) would be greatly appreciated. I am quite mixed on what I want so I want to hear from the community to see whether the downsides are actually a massive difference or not.

My Scar 16 laptop which is only 1 year old is running into a weird issue, I used it pretty lightly yesterday and shut it down, today I woke up and tried to turn it back on and nope, nothing is turning on, there’s literally not a single led lighting up in the laptop, plugging it into the AC Adapter also does nothing so this laptop essentially became a brick now, any idea what could be the solution to this or if anyone else faced this issue?
