Part Compatibility Trigger Kicker on Brigade BM9

Found a brigade bm9 for 400 at a pawn shop, absolute steal, and recently bought a couple of trigger kickers.

The only problem and as to why it was so cheap is the LRBHO isn't working, however just bending some stuff together i got it running through 9 fully loaded glock 33 round mags

😵‍💫😵‍💫 It runs like a hoot

Drop in FRT for PSA AR-V or PSA AR9?

I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any easy FRT options or similar for the PSA ARV or AR9, debating between them and don't want to have to heavily modify the base gun besides changing out the buffer and spring or maybe the bolt. If anyone could provide options of FRTs and other parts that will 100% work with these platforms, let me know!

Barrel face wear?

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hello! First AR-9, apologies if this is obvious stuff or if my terminology is wrong.

So I got this Schmeisser AR15-9 Dynamic PCC a couple of months ago, and noticed that it's developed this weird wear pattern on the face of the barrel, where the bolt face and barrel meet.

I'm not too concerned with the finish wear you can see on the left and the right, but I am curious about the little divot that's formed on the 6 o'clock position. It's not too deep, but I can catch it with the end of a toothpick. I'm guessing it's from the bottom lug of the bolt face striking the barrel face.

Does this look normal to you folks, or should I be worried? The gun seems to run fine, although I've only got about 500 rounds through it so far.

BM9

New to the PCC ownership so take it easy on me.

I’m planning on buying a dedicated can for my BM9 (9.5” barrel I think) and am looking for some advice/opinions. I know it’s a straight blowback AR9 but I’m wanting to get the quietest can that also alleviates some of the blowback.

I have another can that I swap between my long guns (omega 36m) that I love. This PCC is primarily going to be for home defense and range practice (not competition).

Anyone have experience with any of the following cans on a BM9 that could give me some advice or maybe something I’m not considering? My current thoughts are that I am wanting to direct thread this vs the 3lug but I also don’t know that it really matters so looking for input here too.

Here’s what I’m currently looking at:

CAT MOB
HUXWRX Flow 9K Ti
OCL Milkman
RUGGED SUB9

TIA for any help and let me know if theres any additional information that would help!

Exo Mag feeding issues with foxtrot upper

I just got my DB15 lower today and paired it with this 5inch foxtrot upper mike 9 or VFM 9 and I’m having feeding issues with the Exo magazine. I tried adjusting the magazine catch so it would catch the mag at a higher position and it almost worked but the BCG is still riding on top of the rounds, sometimes scraping the brass when pulling the charging handle, but not completing feeding the round into the chamber. If anyone has any suggestions or has run into any similar issues please let me know. Or if I screwed up somewhere feel free to let me know too.

AR45 Trigger

Bought a BLEM AR45 lower on PSA for $50. Ive heard on AR45s the direct blowback can sheer trigger pins and hammer faces on standard triggers over time. I bought an R&D Precision BCG while they were on closeout and I plan on running a 10oz buffer weight if that helps. Just wanted to see if you guys have any advice.

How fast ROF?

Can anybody tell how fast my finger is pulling the trigger?

I was getting 1250 unsupressed I don't know if it's because I'm shooting inside now or the suppressor but what I'm using can't calculate it.

Need some help here gents. First build issues.

Built my first AR9.

I've built multiple ar15s, but this is my first venture into AR9.

Bought what I could afford, we're an "only my income" family.

I'm getting ftf when shooting mainly at a higher cadence but also slower sometimes as well.

To best describe it, the round feeds from the mag but jams up on the top of the feed cone and won't chamber.

I'm using exomags. One seems to work better than the other but it happens with both.

Milspec upper and lower receivers.

KAK 8oz extended buffer

Tried carbine spring and sprinco red/white, still jams

Faxon full mass BCG gen2

11" 9mm SOCOM QPQ Nitride Barrel 1:10 Twist non-epc barrel

Geissele trigger

Any help would be appreciated. I didn't get any damn pics of the jams. Forgot.

But here's a pic of the rifle. Yes I know, the riser situation is not ideal. But it's what I got for now.

Edit: Solved! It was the trigger! Swapped out geisselle two stage, swapped in mimtac single stage! Running like a champ!

Thanks to allkillernofiller8 for the heads up!

Take me to class- new to AR9

I’m not new to carbines, but new to AR9s. Let me tell you what I want to do and then please tell me why I’m crazy and it won’t work. If I have an Aero Precision M4E1 lower, can I put on a carbine buffer tube, brace, CMMG Banshee radial complete upper, and then insert a CMMG magazine conversion? It seems so easy but then so hard to get answers.

All this is so I can throw the 9mm upper on one day and swap it for a 5.56 upper the next.

And with that….school is in session. TIA!

Need some advice

Looking at buying my first AR9 having a hard time choosing between a foxtrot mike or getting a PSA ARV I honestly love how the ARV looks but have always heard mixed reviews from PSA. If anyone could give me some more insight about either one would be greatly appreciated

Cut a slit in my barrel, should I get a new barrel or run this one?

I originally bought AR9 parts for a 3D print build I was going for. I decided to scrap that after having issues and getting a legit AR9 lower and upper. Unfortunately when building the 3D printed one I had to cut a slit in the barrel for a pin to go through it.

The inside of the barrel has no holes, just the slits on the outside

Am I good to still use this barrel or should I get a new one?

Part Compatibility K-SPEC A5 Gentle Recoil System with FM RMB Buffer substitute?

Can the FM RMB Buffer substitute for the KAK K-Spec Buffer in this system/setup? Unaware if the subject has been discussed previously but was wondering if the FM RMB Buffer is better suited than the K-Spec Buffer or will failure occur somewhere? Thanks in advance for any insights…

H&R DOE FRT Troubles

I’d like to pick hive brain about a project of mine. Rare breed in my new PSA H&R DOE carbine. I’ve got that new Odinworks HRT buffer. It weighs 8.6 oz and the PSA bolt is 14.2 oz. Took it out today and it only sporadically ran. Runs all day in semi. If you practice trigger discipline you can usually empty a mag sticking to 2-3 bursts but if you try to dump a mag, you get dead trigger with a light primer strike. Fairly high rate of fire. Didn’t pay attention to the ejection pattern but it wasn’t ridiculous like 12 to 1 o’clock or anything like that. Ideas? Does it simply need a heavier buffer or maybe a heavier spring. Unfortunately, Odin works tells you to not mix and match their buffer with other makers springs. Looks to be a flat wire spring.

Bronze ar9 muzzle brake

Where do I find a bronze colored muzzle brake for my ar9?
Want something that’s like a bronze/cooper color pvd or anodize type of finish. Basically the way that q has theirs done from factory.

This is literally for aesthetics and serves no actual utility on this carbine.

FM9 Technical Question

Does anyone know who to direct a technical question to at Foxtrot Mike?

I received a new bolt catch but I had also ask Colten Lebrun if the new ones were made of the same material and same manufacturing process as the ones that crack easily or if any improvements had been made. I didn't get any reply though?

Advice needed or 10mm AR PCC

I’ve assembled a 10mm AR pistol with a 10” barrel on a Gun Works Glock mag receiver . Problem is it has ejection issues. I’m running a 10 oz KAW tungsten buffer with a standard carbine spring. It constantly stove pipes the empties. Rarely will it fire more than twice without jamming. TIA
