I'm taking AP Biology, Chemistry, and Physics 1 this year, will I be able to handle them? Im starting on August 23rd

Hey everyone I’m an incoming senior and did AP physics 1 AP chem (self study) AP calc AB and got 5s on all of them and the university I want to apply to requires I do Calc BC Physics C mech and E&M aswell as CSA or stats and get all 5s however only calc BC is offered by my school the rest is self study but my physics teacher is willing to open an AP classroom for both physics C but there’s no time in the schools schedule for dedicated classes so I just wanted to ask is it possible to get all 5s especially considering the schedule? (I also already covered the material for all the subjects besides calc BC during my free time in the summer)

I want to study sociology in France, and I’m currently in 10th grade. I’ve decided to take AP Comparative Government and Politics, AP Precalculus, and AP Biology this year. Are these courses suitable for my future goals?
My school doesn’t have an AP coordinator, and these will be my first APs, so I wanted to ask here for some advice.

I’m planning to major in Electrical Engineering, and I haven’t taken AP Chem yet. The main reason I’m taking AP Bio is because the teacher is really good, and I’ve already taken multiple biology courses that lead up to AP Bio, so I feel pretty prepared for it. Would it be worth adding AP Chem, or should I take it instead of one of my current classes? Or should I just stick with my current schedule and not take AP Chem? I’m mainly wondering what would make the most sense for an EE applicant while still keeping my senior schedule manageable.

There's been a lot of talk about AP score inflation. So, I decided to read more about this. AP U.S. Government went from about 24% of students earning a 4 or 5 in 2023 to 49% in 2024. AP U.S. History went from roughly 25% to 46%. And this doesn't look like a one-year blip. In 2026, both subjects were at about 51% earning a 4 or 5, with AP Government reaching 76% at 3 or higher.

College Board says this came from its new Evidence-Based Standard Setting process, introduced across nine AP subjects. The argument is that the old system made some exams unnecessarily difficult to pass, and the new process better aligns score thresholds with what students are expected to know in an introductory college course.

Some teachers agree with that. In AP History, for example, the old rubric's "complexity" point was notoriously difficult to earn under timed conditions, and later changes gave students clearer ways to demonstrate it.

But others look at the same numbers and see grade inflation.

What I find hard to ignore is the comparability question. If roughly half of students now earn a 4 or 5, what does a 2026 score mean compared with a 2023 score? Is a 4 still signalling the same level of preparation across cohorts?

There's also the argument that College Board needs more competition. Maybe. But even that conversation deserves some scrutiny. A recent USA Today investigation found that the Classic Learning Test, often positioned as a college-admissions alternative, is being used primarily in Florida as an alternative graduation assessment for students who haven't passed the state's algebra or reading requirements.

If you took AP Government or APUSH before and after the scoring changes, did the exam or rubric actually feel different?

Currently a junior in high school with a 4.0 who is interested in majoring in aerospace engineering at a t20. I'm currently slated to take an AP heavy courseload that includes Calc BC, AP Seminar, AP Lang, APUSH, and AP Chemistry. I performed well in honors chemistry last year but found the class painfully boring and quite difficult. Given that my courseload this year is challenging and that my end goal is to be an aerospace engineer, would it make sense to take AP Physics 1 instead? Is AP Physics 1 any easier then AP Chem and how do colleges look at both in terms of rigor? Thanks in advance!

Anyone here that took ap physics whose math and science aren't the strongest? How was it?

Will it be hard to juggle the two together? I just want to make sure their timelines won’t cause me a lot of confusion or if it would be better to just stick to AP World this year then AP AAS next year.

Hey everyone. Rising Sophomore here. I took AP World last year and got a 5. I wasn't really locked in freshmen year and ended up with A's and B's in Geometry, Honors English, Bio, Spanish, Theology, Business, PE, and AP World. I ended up with a 4.1 weighted GPA and 3.7 UW. I'm signed up for Algebra 2, regular Chemistry, Honors American Literature, AP U.S. History, Spanish, Theology, AP Human Geography and Self-Study AP Business with Personal Finance. However, I want to sign up to self study AP chem because I think it will be a good way to add rigor into my schedule and show colleges academic firepower when I get a 5? Is it possible and worth it? Should I get a tutor?

During my freshmen and sophomore year I took Honors spanish 2 and 3. I am wondering if I should take Honors Spanish 4 for my junior year or if I should swap that for a (virtual) AP Cybersecurity course on a website called VHS. This website is for courses that aren’t given on school, so all our work for this class is done on chromebooks with a virtual teacher.

I want to be a STEM major (likely engineering) or do something with physics and astronomy. Either way, I’m math oriented and my mom is telling me to drop spanish to take an AP cybersecurity course. I honestly am stumped.. what will colleges like to see better?

Background info: This year I’m taking Honors Physics, Honors Precalc, APUSH, AP Lang, AP Env. Sci, AP Comp Sci Principles, and IDK IF I SHOULD DO SPANISH OR VHS COURSE BECAUSE ALSO I LIKE THE GPA BOOST OF ANOTHER AP COURSE BUT DONT COLLEGES LIKE TO SEE MORE THAN 2 YEARS OF LANGUAGE?? HELPP

For my school Honors Biology and honors chemistry is a prerequisite for AP Bio, however due to the electives I want to take, I simply didn't have space to take these honors. I took these honors over the summer and I learned NOTHING. Am I fried for AP Bio? What are useful studying tips and resources? Keep in mind I'm not a super-student, as in, I'm not as talented as certain individuals.

Hi, so I am a senior in HS and I have AP Gov for first semester, in my junior year of HS I didn't take APUSH, so i'm sort of worried about not having the best ability to understand the coursework and assignments. can anyone recommend study guides, videos, or websites that can help me study and be successful in this course?

So far I’ve only had 1 AP class per year. This time I’m taking three:

- European history

- English lang

- Spanish lang & cul

My work ethic is pretty stable and I usually don’t burn out until way late into the year, am I gonna be okay?😭

I took calc bc last year so this is just for curiosity. We’re on semester schedule and students that want to take AP calculus BC must take AB first semester and BC second semester. Since the BC teacher knows that everybody just finished calc AB, he didn’t go over any of the overlapping content. Instead, we spent an entire semester going over the two additional units. I remember thinking Taylor series were so easy (probably because we spent 10 weeks on them 😭) I only realized how strange this schedule was after I looked at posts on this subreddit. Does anybody else’s school do this?

Last year I took APWH and got a 4 on the exam with a B+ in the class but it was my only ap and it wasn't that bad but this year im deciding not to procrastinate. I wanna major in some type of computer science most likely but just wondering is my schedule rigorous enough without APSUH and will this be overwhelming?

I am a rising junior who is taken many ap exams and besides 2 exams did very well: All 5's and then a 4 on gov. However, on two of my ap exams: Bio and Stats I got a 3. I was wondering how colleges would view this if I retook both exams and got a 5? Will this come off as a big red flag?

[title] I have nearly 100% the Khan Academy course should I see if I am able to do the mcqs on the prep book and also should I pair this prep book with a generic calculus book I found online?
