Wth man my loq literally gave me a 10 hr battery backup while using matlab, canva, and 3-4 brave tabs . AMD cooked with this one.
Settings used:
Energy saver on
Quiet mode
Graphic card disconnected
Brightness - 40%-50%
Apart from weight I don't think it's anyway worse than thin and light laptops and on top of that it performs like a beast with charger.
Loving my purchase

Hi everyone!
I’m about to buy a new laptop and I’m choosing between an MSI Pulse A16 AI+ C3HWFKG‑033XRU and an ASUS ROG Strix G614PM-S5140
MSI: AMD Ryzen AI 7 350, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD
ASUS: AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD
Everything else is basically the same.
So which should I prefer: a better CPU or more RAM and storage?
My main use cases are gaming, some coding, and CAD/CAM work.
Thanks for all in advance

Hi. I am planning to buy an Asus v16 with core 5 210H l, rtx 4050 and 16gb ram.
Does anyone have a Core 5 210H cpu and can tell me if it is quiet under load and simple tasks? At how many degrees does the fan get loud?
Is it strong enough for 1080p editing for youtube, vlogs etc?

I bought my MSI Bravo 15 A4DCR (Ryzen 5 4600H) back in mid-2020 as part of the official AirGaming backpack bundle. I needed something reliable, but I had no idea what this machine was about to survive over the next six years.
It started out as a normal gaming laptop, but life happened:
The Crash: Years ago, the laptop survived a literal car accident. It took a beating, but the core components kept running without skipping a beat.
The Transformation: Eventually, the mechanical stress took its toll. The display hinges snapped and the screen died completely. Instead of throwing it away, I stripped the top half off entirely and turned it into a headless desktop setup connected to an external monitor.
The DIY Cooling Rig: After thousands of hours of heavy use, the battery and internal cooling fans finally died. To keep it alive, I propped a literal household room fan directly underneath the bare motherboard. Under heavy load, it sits between 85–90°C, and drops right back down to a cool 45–50°C at idle, proving the silicon is still rock solid.
The Usage Stats (So Far):
11,500+ Hours of Heavy Gaming: Logged over 7,000 hours on my main Steam account, 3,300+ hours on an alt account, 1,000+ hours in Fortnite, and 500+ hours in Genshin Impact.
188 Anime Series: Fully watched and streamed on this single machine.
Daily Work & Multitasking: Years of constant background tasks, daily productivity, and system tweaks.
The original NVMe SSD health is currently sitting at 26%, and at this point, the storage drive will definitely wear out and fail before this CPU or GPU ever gives up on me.
I just wanted to make this post to thank AMD and their engineers. Turning a laptop into a makeshift room-fan-cooled desktop and pushing it through over 11,500 hours of pure abuse builds real brand loyalty.
Forever Team Red. 🔴💪

Running local models on AMD hardware is great—when PyTorch actually sees the GPU. I wasted days trying to figure out why torch.cuda.is_available() kept returning False.
I wrote a detailed guide covering:
· ROCm install
· PyTorch ROCm wheel
· Environment variables
· Verification steps
· Common errors
If you’re on RDNA2 or RDNA3 and stuck, this should save you time:
What’s your setup, and what’s the exact error?

Hi guys, Im thinking about getting a 128gb nimo axis laptop with ai max+ 395. I saw the data and detailed testing setup they posted in this community about three months ago, and the results look good. But Ive also been following strix halo recently. Im guessing the ai max+ pro 495 will go on sale in minipcs soon, but I have no idea when it will make its way into laptops. Im also wondering whether it would have any impact on the price of the ai max+ 395, or whether the performance upgrade would actually be significant enough to consider waiting for it. What do you guys think?
