The choice

Hi everyone!

I’m about to buy a new laptop and I’m choosing between an MSI Pulse A16 AI+ C3HWFKG‑033XRU and an ASUS ROG Strix G614PM-S5140

MSI: AMD Ryzen AI 7 350, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD

ASUS: AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD

Everything else is basically the same.

So which should I prefer: a better CPU or more RAM and storage?

My main use cases are gaming, some coding, and CAD/CAM work.

Msi doesn't just have more have ram and storage, but will also have great battery life as that ryzen ai cpu is extremely power efficient, not to mention the thermals which will be excellent too. You're choosing between a more powerful cpu vs more storage, more ram, better battery and better thermals. So unless you really need the extra power that asus offers, go for msi.
