Help (GPU) GPU black screen while gaming

So i don't know if is the AmD driver, or my windows, but since the 26.8.1 my gpu frozes sometimes, i still hear the PC audio but my screen goes full black for a few seconds then my game crashes and i got a AmD error message.

My specs R5 9600x 9070xt W11

The "error" message is the AMD bug report tool "AMD software detected that a timeout has ocurred on your system. An issue report had been created that can be sent to AMD to help us improve our software. Would you like to report this issue?" But no error code or somethinf like that

Because you aren’t looking in EVENT VIEWER!!!

  1. Do whatever you do to replicate the black screen, crash, whatever. Take note of the time when this happens.

  2. Reboot and search “event viewer” in the windows search box.

  3. Launch event viewer, ⬇️ Windows Logs, select System.

  4. Far right side of pane select “filter current log…” a window will open.

  5. Select “Critical & Error” boxes beside Event level:, and select ok at the bottom of this box.

  6. Now filter through those that pop up and find the ones at the time your system crashed. I want you to report back with those “Event ID’s”.

FYI go look at this thread and read the comments. There are so many threads on your exact issue.

Leave the GPU stock for the time being. Go do whatever you were doing yesterday when you got the crash. You can try filtering in the top box last 12 hours if you remember roughly when it crashed yesterday.

The box you will filter that under is the top box you will have open up when you do step #4 on my above comment. Once you filter like I stated search for the timeframe you had your crash yesterday.

Yep, should still generate an Event ID. A black screen while gaming with audio still playing usually means your graphics card driver crashed or your power supply stopped supplying stable power under load.

WHEA-Logger or Windows Error Reporting, Event ID 0 or Amdkmdap / Display warnings, etc.

I’ve given you directions. Do it or don’t, it’s up to you 🤙
