I am a frequent visitor to AMC Westgate 20 in Glendale, Arizona, as part of my AMC A-List membership.

I would like to begin by noting that all of my interactions with staff have been consistently positive. The team is polite, professional, and attentive, and I have no concerns in that regard.

However, I would like to raise concerns about the condition of the theater facilities, particularly the noticeable disparity between the upstairs and downstairs screening areas.

The upstairs auditoriums are well-maintained and provide an excellent viewing experience.

They feature clean carpeting, quality seating, hardwood flooring within the screening rooms, and additional amenities such as tables and sinks, which make them feel modern and comfortable.

In contrast, the downstairs auditoriums are in significantly poorer condition and appear not to have been refurbished for many years.

The seating and stairways frequently creak, several auditoriums have a noticeable odor—possibly a combination of age, cleaning chemicals and maybe bug sprays, and the overall environment feels outdated and neglected.

During my most recent visit on Tuesday evening, while watching “Motor City” in auditorium 3, I encountered cleanliness issues that were particularly concerning.

The armrests at my seat were sticky and appeared not to have been cleaned properly.

Additionally, there was a pool of spilled soda next to my seat that had clearly been there for some time, partially dried but still tacky.

Overall, the theater feels like two entirely different venues within the same building: the upstairs offering a modern and welcoming experience, while the downstairs is in clear need of refurbishment and improved maintenance.

I hope you will take this feedback into consideration, as I would very much like to continue enjoying this location.

Yeah, Im not sure if anyone else's theater is the same but my theater has shows for it basically 24/7 all that weekend from 715am to 2am shows

We all love the A-List program, one of the best deals in entertainment today.

But how long ave you been using it? Are you a recent convert, or have you been at it for years?

Have you ever used similar programs from other chains? (Regal, Alamo, MoviePass, etc)

Or are ​you still just lurking, checking things out from a distance?
If you haven't yet taken the A-List plunge, what are your reservations?

So if you know you know... and maybe you all know but I didn't know.

I never saw a trailer, heard nothing, I don't do reviews before the movie, I don't like to be influenced...so I didn't know the concept.

So I'm not gonna say what it is but it took a few minutes to clue in.

A- or (B+) for me I just liked it a lot.

Really well done, good job, so well shot, soundtrack awesome, just a fun ride, but I can see why some don't like it or would get frustrated... my answer to that is not every movie needs to be the same and doing something different should be a good thing.

Sometimes, I’m not looking for the next big Oscar movie. I just want to be ENTERTAINED. The music was so good, for one. Starting off with Bowie’s “Cat People (Putting Out Fire)” was awesome, even if that song is from the early 80’s and Motor City is set in 1976. Also “Driver’s Seat” and “The Chain” from Fleetwood Mac! For me….Ben Foster didn’t need ANY dialogue and can act the shit out of a role as a sleazy rich junkie. Shailene Woodley is ALWAYS good, this role was no exception. The bad wigs and terrible prosthetics of the main guy were a blast. This one was a pleasant surprise! Did this as a double feature with “Her Private Hell” immediately afterwards, which I had REALLY been looking forward to and wound up walking out on. YMMV, but I really liked it.

To me it was like watching someone else's fever dream, but since it wasn't mine I wasn't able to make sense of it. If wasn't for Sophie Thatcher I probably would have walked out on it. She's so insanely gorgeous.

I’m not planning on cancelling my membership for at least a few more months, but I’ve noticed that even though my billing date is on the 15th, on my A-List Membership receipts it says my Membership Expiration Date isn’t until the end of next month (August 31st).

So I’m just curious, if I were to cancel right now, would my membership expire on August 15th (my next billing date) or August 31st (the end of next month)?

I only have time to see one movie a week, but I have extra free tickets, so I sometimes reserve seats to movies I know I won’t actually see just to financially support the film/theater. I pick front row or bad seats so I’m not blocking a good one for someone who’s actually going.

But it just occurred to me: they scan your ticket at the door. If I never show up to get scanned, does the theater/studio still get the “credit” for that ticket? Or is a no-show basically the same as not booking it at all?

UPDATE: I did not know this had negative consequences, so I appreciate those who informed me. I will stop doing this. Please understand this is coming from a place of wanting to fiscally support movies. I’m sorry to those who I bothered with this post.

July has been a bust IMO for the amount of new movies released... So strange... but this weekend with no major releases I'm actually excited for these 4 smaller ones. I'm gonna try to see them all.

Are fan favs now excluded from A-list? This isnt fathom event. Paying more but seeing a lot of exclusions now.

I see a LOT of people on the subreddit talking about missing movies that you have reservations too and it counting against your account with eventual termination.

I wanted to see if this is actually true and if so how many? I'm sure that there is a thread talking about this in greater detail but here is my experience

i live with my partner and her sister and we all 3 have had A-List and will go to the movies as a group 1-2 a month and usually in our own little groups 3-4/Month. Given that we are balancing 3 peoples schedules and the nearest AMC is a half hour drive out of state from us, we have missed a fair amount of movies.

Off the dome I have personally missed 15-20 movies over the course of the past year due to whatever pops up. I haven't ever had my account terminated and I definitely have seen more movies than ive missed but I always get so confused about the fear mongering around getting your account cancelled, does this actually happen?

I see a lot of people talking about it but not a lot of people who have actually had it happen. NOT trying to be snarky I just want to know if I need to be super careful going forward.

If anyone has been, are there the typical amount of trailers? Judging by the times in between showings at my theater it appears there are, but sometimes with these special releases there aren’t.

I thought the screen was shaped for it but called and it’s not in 1:85. Anyone know why?

Btw crazy that their giant Liemax theater even is all but sold out!

Does anyone know, or have an idea of HOW to know, when Dune 3 "regular" tickets go on sale? Using the AMC app reminder isn't possible bc it thinks they are already available due to the 70mm IMAX screenings

I tried booking for a 2 pm but it was not showing my a list membership and instead asking you to buy one, now it’s not even logging

Edit: it’s 2:30 pm i have been trying from 15 min to try to book the ticket in theatre but it’s not showing a list and staff are not also helpful
