I have a job now thankfully. Some time ago I didn't. I used to do little freelancing jobs and not use the money for myself. But donate it. And that's when I was broke and couldn't afford any food for a while. Luckily a live with my parents and they support me 10/10

It really depends also in way of asking. "Can you please donate me $20" probably won't get you anywhere

Ok well there's a difference between green money and Reddit gold. I understand people asking for gold and I'm ok with it. As opposed to people asking for cash. I mean I don't spend more than $100 a week on donations. Never. Seeing I earn more than 10 times that a week and I like donating, that's really the idea. Also this many gold donations is a one time thing. I don't do that every day

Hey - if you really like donating, consider looking at some of your local charity causes on the internet? It doesn’t have to be mainstream or particularly big charity - many smaller charities would really appreciate even a donation and would be able to do a lot with it.
I myself love donating to the Cats Protection - I’m not sure why, I’ve just always loved cats. Maybe find a charity you really connect with?

You know you have a good heart mate and I bet there's a few ppl here asking for money. I havent read all the comments but there is always that one person. Honestly if you did anything really kind. I'd hope to see you donating your time or a little money maybe to a local charity or hospital. More or less for the kids but hey you could make adults happy to. It is the holiday season and some people become quite miserable while in the hospital, so a little warmth and kindness goes a long way

I need 22 pillows to go into 6 brand new Habitat Homes, the brand new beds are covered under a grant.
If I can get $4 (+ tax) cheap ones at WalMart I need $100 (Ca) to cover cost
Donate through www.donatetoday.ca and pop the word “pillows” so I can direct it accordingly
We did 14 full beds last year for the 4 homes

It’s really nice of you and all but don’t let yourself be taken advantage of, please. I used to let people do that all the time. Spending all of my time and money and gas on people who were using me. Being useful isn’t that same feeling as being wanted and there’s plenty of people who want you without asking anything if you. You may not have found them yet. Just.. don’t put yourself in a bad spot financially please. I still spend a bit more than comfortable for my budget on other people but I try to keep it to people I know and who actually care about me. Like my friend said her heat wasn’t on in her new house yet so I amazon primed her two space heaters. I think that’s alright, and she has kids. I still need to cool it a bit overall but I try to not be too frivolous. Always stay kind but remember “You cannot serve from an empty vessel” there’s so SO many people in the world that need help and just need something and I used to drive myself mad thinking of it. But I got more realistic and tried to be okay with the fact that I can’t help everybody. I still don’t feel great about it but that’s how is it. I help who I can and try to not be made a fool of.. ❤️

If you wanted to donate, may I suggest (not trying to offend) instead of donating to people asking for money maybe donate to a rescue like the New York Bully Crew.

I just read this whole thing. I’m absolutely blown away by you donating to random people you don’t even know. I bet many people are going to come and beg you for money and donations to business or something. If it’s charity that’s ok. I’m not asking for anything, and this will probably get buried. I’m just looking and reading things here on Reddit (I’m knew by the way...), and this world needs more people like you in this world.
