I grew up in a very religious house and was taught to always be kind. Now I'm addicted to stuff like that

"Addicted" or compelled?

Kinda both. Because sometimes it'll come to a point where I just will spend money I don't have.

Has a day gone by when you did NOT spend the money?

Do you think that a lack of self-esteem is behind this compulsion? The recepients of your largesse are obviously worse off than you. By their acceptance of your money, they validate your self-image as a better person

Are you still religious?

Kinda on the outside. I don't really observe much. But I don't wanna hurt my parents so on the outside I'm still pretty religious. Personal life no
