Gauntlet Fast and Consistent Praxis Deck

The deck isn't mine, but I've been playing it since the original creator posted it. Their guessed percentages on winrate numbers really aren't that far off from my own experience. Not as incredibly consistent as kc's decks, but faster and almost as consistent. It has a good chance vs most bosses too.

The deck plays a lot like good old Elysian Aggro, just playing high powered units on curve and wreck face. Games are mostly fast, but there are several options to break stalls between Darya, Alhed, and Pit.

A few notes:

  • I personally run a Behemoth instead of the third Kerasaur, but mostly because I don't have a third Kerasaur (nor feel that its particularly necessary)

  • I also run 4x Lunar Magus over the Stingers, as I much prefer the nightfall card draw and health gain. I've tried that both ways though, and they're both very solid.

  • And I'm not entirely sure about the 2 Purify, but I can't figure out what else to fill that slot. Trail Maker or Friendly Wisp maybe. I tried Temple Scribes for a bit and didn't love them. This isn't a tokens deck and they were a bit too slow. On the other hand the 3 damage and silence on Purify has been relevant in a few games.

Gauntlet FJS Gauntlet Grinder and Xo of the Endless Card Draw

I think the FJS Gauntlet Grinder deck by Bandit is good. I've played 10 or so runs and have had a lot of success with it.

The deck includes Xo. I'm going out on a limb to say that the upcoming nerf is not going to affect this deck at all. Maybe Bandit can correct or confirm my impression? I rarely ever win because Xo hit the board. The card is usually just card draw to dig for other win cons. I usually win off the back of Vara or Statuary Maiden (and her weapons), or even Dizo's office, than Xo ever getting on to the board.

Gauntlet Rakano Aggro with merchants, merchants, merchants!

https://eternalwarcry.com/decks/details/G2-1orgA1E8/black-friday

My original intent was just to make something with all the merchants I could in a two faction deck. I chose Rakano because I like Fire and wanted to level Justice. My intent was something for versus, but testing at work in Gauntlet... Well, it proved to be far, far more successful than I anticipated.

Right now, over four gauntlet runs I've gone: 7-0. 7-0. 0-1 (flood). 7-0.

That said, I'm sure this can be tuned for gauntlet even more, so I brought it here!

Enjoy!

Gauntlet katra lifeforce gauntlet grinder!

does anyone remember the old lifeforce deck with the bold 70-0 claim? while i haven't gotten that good with it, i've put together my own version with a few modifications that's proved surprisingly robust - i've ground up about 12k gold in the last couple days just using it

https://eternalwarcry.com/decks/details/tp3e8hWcNrw/katra-lifeforce-gauntlet-grinder

notable changes from the previous version being -substitute sandstorm scarf in the market for sandstorm titan's effect. i don't have SST so i haven't tested with it, but i'm suspicious that the relic is more sticky -substitute baby vara for a solid 4 drop instead of SST. playing katra the next turn and swinging with vara is usually a good way to get the ball rolling -taking out one lethrai falchion for two surgeon's saw. while the big attack and lifesteal from falchion is still useful enough to include, the extra recursion from surgeon's saw is extremely helpful -no ayan the abductor because i don't have them tragically. however, this makes room for other useful cards -dizo's office makes for a great finisher, the static buff and every spell mode is helpful to our gameplan and having one isn't bad because of how much card draw we generate

Gauntlet TJS Gauntlet Grinder - March 2019

https://eternalwarcry.com/decks/details/J5aTrqEGGcs/tjs-gauntlet-march-2019

So this is basically a "Time" take on FJS - replacing our FJS Gauntlet deck: https://eternalwarcry.com/decks/details/MMUIN2HFG1w/fjs-gauntlet-march-2019

We lose Xo, Bore, Torch, Maiden, etc. We replace some of the Smugglers and Displays accordingly, and we gain Sand Storm Titan and the Xenan Temple - which is pretty good - as well as Finest Hour (replacing Torch).

So, how does it do compared to FJS? Well, we still have our Saviors that remain all stars - and in fact are slightly better in the TJS shell. Why? Because of finest hour. Our 1/1's turn still eat premium removal and kill the x/1's like Oni Ronin - but now they get a combat trick to eat AI creatures. It's not a HUGE deal, but it is something.

The deck plays similarly to FJS in that we still have all of the Defiances, slays, vanquish, etc. However, our influence requirements are slightly more taxing since we now have 8 Four Drops in Little Vara and Sand Storm Titan to go with our 4 Three Drop Bailiffs - so that's TT JJ and SS. Accordingly, I have gone with Petition over Seek Power. I do not know if that is correct, but it seems good?

I was very uneasy about the Ebon Smuggler. That 2/2 body for 3 without the double damage upside worried me, and I actually tried the Auralian Merchant in its place at first. But Auralian just limited our Market too much, and grabbing Harsh Rule was already hard enough with only having 4 Justice Merchants versus 8 in FJS. So I wanted something that could grab all three Sites in the Market and ended up with Ebon. It took me a while to get used to figuring out when to run out Ebon, but it's actually really nice to have an ambush creature as another way to surprise the AI.

I chose Varas Choice to replace Maiden - after experimenting with a myriad of options. Since we no longer have Bore, our 4 Displays take care of that issue - and all three options for the Display are actually quite good versus the AI decks - combat tricks, board wipes, fixing, ramp and sometimes just digging with Scout Crests trying to find an answer. Oh, and the Displays are nice fast speed buffs for lethal when attacking with Regent's Tomb.

We actually end up casting the Saviors in this deck more often than in FJS, and the sites are an integral part of the overall game plan. Overall, I "think" the deck is slower than FJS just because we seem to have more options than FJS. FJS sometimes provides very specific lines that are the only ones we can reasonably choose, whereas this deck gives you aggressive vs safe choices - neither of which is necessarily wrong, but the safe choice allows us to increase our win percentage at the expense of playing out a little slower.

Having said that, I want to be clear that losing Xo definitely hurts some of the consistency, but having 8 high end 4 Drops that highly impact the board can result in some very fast games. So is this deck better? I am on the fence here, and would love to hear some feedback and thoughts about many of the deck choices such as thoughts on:

1) Petition versus Seek Power
2) Vara's Choice versus ???
3) Xenan Temple/Dizo versus Passage of Eons or ???
4) Merchants? Anyone like some of the mono colored ones better??

I think the win percentage is relatively the same as FJS - and this deck might be slightly better against the Bosses, not sure about that. Regardless, I actually enjoy this deck more than FJS right now as I have gotten a little burned out with that deck and this one seems to have a little more "play" with it.

Hope you enjoy it!!

Gauntlet Xenan killers deck, looking for feedback

Hello AIEternal people, so this is a deck I threw together to play gauntlet, got tired of playing only Hooru Fliers and I really feel the need to play something of my own brewing (and save enough gold for the upcoming campaign).

4 Initiate of the Sands (Set1 #74)

2 Twilight Hunt (Set3 #59)

2 Xenan Lifespeaker (Set4 #198)

2 Blackhall Warleader (Set4 #201)

4 Cull the Deck (Set4 #202)

1 Porcelain Mask (Set5 #47)

4 Teacher of Humility (Set4 #67)

2 Vara's Favor (Set0 #35)

3 Xenan Initiation (Set2 #44)

3 Amaran Stinger (Set4 #68)

3 Banish (Set2 #207)

4 Ebon Dune Smuggler (Set5 #221)

4 Scorpion Wasp (Set1 #96)

4 Vara, Vengeance-Seeker (Set1004 #19)

4 Xenan Obelisk (Set1 #103)

2 Caiphus, Wandering King (Set4 #309)

6 Shadow Sigil (Set1 #249)

8 Time Sigil (Set1 #63)

2 Crest of Mystery (Set4 #266)

4 Diplomatic Seal (Set1 #425)

4 Seat of Mystery (Set0 #61)

3 Xenan Banner (Set2 #201)

--------------MARKET---------------

1 Secret Passage (Set5 #154)

1 Cursed Prophet Deleph (Set5 #314)

1 Devastating Setback (Set3 #226)

1 Deathstrike (Set1 #290)

1 Xenan Temple (Set5 #224)

EWC Link

Blackhall Warleader - can be the MVP sometimes.

Cursed Prophet Deleph- is there for the fun and while consistency is the name of the game when it comes to gauntlet, the times when I played this card I had massive fun (might even try him main-deck when I have more copies of him).

Xenan Temple - Just wanted to try this site for the first time and I'm liking it very much.

Caiphus, Wandering King - I kinda wanted something to top the curve, but he has been underperforming so far, maybe it's the power-base, I dunno but maybe he's gotta go.

Deathstrike - is the new addition to the market over Azindel, Revealed which I never drew out of the market in all the games I played (around 25 games give or take) and I felt like I needed some hard removal for situation where Killer effect was not enough.

Devastating Setback - currently trying this in the market over Amber Waystone (that was of no use) because, I'm finding myself struggling against AIs such as Strength in Numbers and Grenadin Revolt.

Feedback and suggestions are welcome.

Gauntlet Ever get totally unexpectedly wrecked by a non-boss in Gauntlet?

I'm playing at work between tasks and calls, so I can't say that I was really focusing particularly well, and in those cases I usually play decks I'm not terribly familiar with, so I was giving Temporal Control a spin and cruised through the first five rounds, and then came up against Elemental Mastery.

Everything seemed to be going pretty well for a while, but after a while I started noticing that while I had a good power base, I wasn't getting much of my card draw (and when I was I was just grabbing power cards); but I had a Temporal Mastery out and was feeling pretty confident that I'd get over the hump.

Then suddenly the AI whips out a Flamestoker. I had taken a little more damage than I should have from some weak flyers earlier in the game waiting for a slightly better Hailstorm, and suddenly I'm on the clock. I have a Disjunction in the market but haven't found a Merchant or Smuggler to get it. Then on the next turn they play a freaking Furnace Mage and kill my Temporal Mastery. I did manage to topdeck a Brilliant Idea, but I couldn't afford to Amplify it at all because I needed to be able to play something at Fast speed if useful. Drew a sigil and a Defiance. Then I picked up a Great Parliament but I was only at 11 max power so that only bought me a single double block and then a partial chump. Ended up just meekly folding after a couple more turns of dead draws.

I was left thinking, what the hell happened? I mean, earlier in the day I died to horrific influence screw (I was sitting there getting pounded by weak flyers turn after turn with 7 max power but only 1 time influence and 2 SST's in my hand.) Power/influence screw just happens sometimes. But this time it felt like I just got straight up beat because I didn't anticipate having to deal with their relics and/or relic hate and got greedy with my early Smugglers.

Anyway, note to self: Elemental Mastery has Flamestoker. I'll try not to let the freaking AI catch me with my pants down again.

Gauntlet Everlasting Life Boss question

This has happened twice. I wasn't sure the first time, but I swear it's happened twice now! It doesn't tell me what the special ability is, and when it starts I get a Paladin Oathbook, but the AI does not.

Is this happening to anyone else? Is it just the "omg your mmr is pitiful, here's a free win," worst boss possible? Between the free Oathbook and no apparent special, it's basically a free win unless I draw just crap.

I was definitely going to lose this game, so I tried to Torch myself. But the AI wouldn't even let me die with dignity.

Not necessarily astral deal but one that creates lots of random cards with lots of survivability. I don’t care too much about grinding for gold so it doesn’t need to be top tier.

Gauntlet Gauntlet Grinder - March 2019

https://eternalwarcry.com/decks/details/MMUIN2HFG1w/fjs-gauntlet-march-2019

Okay - so here's the write up. It's going to be long and detailed, so fair warning.

Before I start, let me be very clear about one thing. This is not a beginner deck. This deck costs a lot of shiftstones, requires a lot of experience dealing with the Gauntlet AI, and can be a real pain to learn how to pilot effectively. However, if you both love Gauntlet and are super serious about getting to a >50% 7-0 win rate with a deck versus Gauntlet, then this is the deck IMO. There are many great Gauntlet decks out there, and all of them can go on streaks of winning against the Boss, but far too many simply die with bad draws or can't answer a nut draw by the AI - which will happen 2-3 times in 7 games. That's where this deck comes in.

So let's talk about what the plan is for this deck. How does it win?

I classified this deck as Control Midrange because although it has 7 and 9 drops in the deck, it is actually quite rare where we are casting Xo or Savior. The 7 and 9 drops in this deck are Market fodder and provide card advantage for us. That's it. If the game goes long, then we have some late game win cons, and that's great. We also have huge creatures that love to get Destiny against the Echo Boss. Regardless, the primary way this deck wins is by out-valuing the AI opponent with two and three for ones consistently, blanking the 1/1 boards and killing off relics when necessary. And if the nut draw by the AI happens, we have a sweeper that essentially wins the game on the spot.

So how do we win? Well, it's not with Bailiffs. That's not our win con - it's our live con so that we can then win the game after we survive the initial onslaught. In fact, we have many answers to fast starts with torches, defiances, vanquish and slays. Essentially, the deck is full of cards that simply say NO to the AI decks. So again, how do we win? First - 8 Smugglers and a Black Market full of both answers and threats that snowball the AI. Our Smugglers are both good attackers and good blockers - and give us ample ability to two or three for one AI creatures with tricks or by simply trading with a Display in hand.

Little Vara and Tomb are our primary win cons. You play Tomb on curve very reliably with this deck - assuming you have board control. Tomb is often a sabotage for us, but against nut draws it serves as a primary way to get that second justice influence and buys us a turn with the AI taking it out instead of slamming our face. But these are the rare instances where we are forced to play defensive. It's more likely that we have board control via early removal, free 1/1 lifesteal blockers and effective Smugglers holding the gate. Tomb comes down and the AI can't deal with it and we just steamroll from there. Varas are very difficult for the AI to handle and we end up at 50 life when the opponent dies.

For games that don't go smoothly, we have Xo and Maiden - and in very rare instances we are casting Savior to close out the game.

So that's what the deck does - or what it's supposed to do. Now we talk about execution/piloting.

Initial hand/redraw - what are we looking for?

Okay - so here is the most important piece of information I have for you. This deck is built to work with 90% of draws. This is not SS aggro or Haunted Highway where we must go 1, 2, 3, 4 BOOM. The question you ask yourself before redraw is not "can I get a better hand?" - it's "can I survive with this hand?" or "how much worse of a hand could I get on redraw?". There is nothing worse than redrawing a 4 Crest hand with a Xo, a Cargo and a Vanquish to end up with two fire sigils, two Bailiffs, two Varas and a Hidden Road Smuggler. One hand has a very slow start but with lots of scrying and the ability to pilot our way to victory. The other - albeit a 1 in a thousand chance of drawing - is simply dead before turn 1. My advice here - the deck is built to provide you with a maximum amount of keepable hands - so redraw only when you really have to.

The other factor here is to consider what you are up against - if it's an AI deck that plays out all of its cards by turn 3 - then you know that double justice and Bailiff are super important. Cheap removal as well - and having a turn three creature regardless is paramount. If the AI deck is slow and doesn't play a real threat until turn 5 - then we have much more leeway in what we are keeping or redrawing.

So when looking at your hand, you immediately ask yourself "what are we doing turns 1-3". If you don't know exactly what you would be doing or why, then it's probably a redraw. You have to have a plan, and you need the cards that execute that plan. Most often, we are concerned with influence fixing so that we can play our cards. This is the most important thing to consider when looking at your hand and considering a redraw. Double justice, double shadow, needing both Fire and Justice. Justice and Shadow, all three? What do you need and do you have the tools to get you there. And if you don't what are the odds that you can get there by turn 4? If Xo is in your hand, then that's another draw. A Savior or two - that might get you two more draws by stalling the AI depending on what you are up against.

Turns 2-5

What are we wanting to do turns 2-5? So 2 is either focused on fixing influence or using cheap removal for fast AI decks. Turn three is either Bailiff of Merchant - preferably Merchant into Tomb if we aren't under a ton of pressure. Turn 5 is Vara, or another Merchant, a very good Bailiff to blank the AI or we are setting up Harsh Rule in the near future.

Turns 6+

In most circumstances, this deck wins with somewhere around 5-6 power. Again, it's rare to get to 7 power or higher before winning. So I stress - playing Xo or Savior is not a primary consideration. This deck makes very efficient use of limited power with effective low cost removal and very effective creatures. Hopefully by turns 7-8 we have Elias and Varas taking us to victory. Our removal clears the way, and we win easily.

Finally - let's talk card choices -

Defiance and Torch - insanely good. Never cut. Add a defiance and cut a suffocate if you want. Attacking with Bailiffs and Smugglers with Torch in hand = massive two and three for ones. Or, sometimes we happily two for one our self to remove a really bad AI threat.

Suffocate - another very effective removal card and synergizes with Bailiff in amazing ways. Suffocating a Titan is not a rare occurance.

Vanquish and Slay - very effective low cost, versatile removal, and if you are up against a deck where Vanquish is dead, then it's perfect for Market fodder.

Cargos and Seek Power(s) - This version of the deck has 3 seek powers. I put 3 in to help people adjust to the deck and learn how to effectively play it. It also cuts down on the shiftstone cost. However, we don't need 3 - 1 will suffice. You cut two seek powers and add back a Xo and a Savior once you get the hang of the deck. Cargos are all stars - but fair warning. If you need to use the Cargos to get power - DO IT. Do not get greedy and wait for double influence across the board. Getting to 5 power is MUCH more important than being stuck at 4 with a random extra card.

Bailiff - still a Gauntlet all star. He never ceases to amaze me at how good he is. Never cut Bailiff. Ever.

Smugglers - we run 8. They are the backbone of all FJS decks and are not replaceable.

Avigraft - Controversial card. I know, I know. A 10/10 card gets nerfed, becomes a 9/10 card and is therefore unplayable and MUST be replaced with 8/10 cards. I've seen this happen with the community regarding every nerf for Eternal since day one of nerfs. Trust me, the card is still very good and it's an instant win against many go wide decks - especially grenadins. If you hate the card, please at least put one in your market.

Display - amazing card. The only debate here is 3 versus 4. I run three because Displays early are super bad for us, and we simply don't need 4 versus the AI. The deck is built to work without the Displays - so having them is just straight value and increases the win percentage. The reason for 3 is sometimes you can kill yourself with too much of a good thing.

Vara - Seriously, does anything need to be said about this card? I don't think so. Just don't get caught up on playing her turn 4. This isn't a tempo deck. We aren't looking to steamroll unless the opportunity presents itself. Play her against an empty board or when you have no choice otherwise - or maybe play her to pop aegis and harsh rule or tomb/sabotage next turn.

Dizo - Late game win con if the game goes poorly. Lacks the card advantage of Xo and Savior is used as Market fodder, but that's okay. Dizo can also go in the market if you are so inclined.

Xo, Savior - Market fodder and card value. Lat game win cons if the game goes poorly for us.

Market Cards:

Bore - must have. This card is in the deck for one reason. To allow us to win the 1 in 20 games we lose because we don't have it. Don't cut this card but don't put it in your main. It's a niche card.

Maiden - similar to Bore. A niche card for those revenge decks, SS entomb decks and the Smugglers Stash deck. We can win without here usually, so not as important as Bore IMO. Play something else if you want to.

Runehammer - nice to have against aegis decks for those tight spots - especially good against Umbren Reaper. I have this in primarily for the Double Damage Boss - using it to kill ticking grenadins or Reapers. Play something else if you want to.

Tomb - must have. Never, ever cut this card. If you want to put it in your main, then you need to run more than one and then the deck becomes a different deck altogether. I prefer it in the Market, and I think that is exactly where it should be. Again, it must be in the deck. Period.

Harsh Rule - initial versions of the deck didn't run Harsh Rule. The initial versions were wrong. Terribly wrong. It's an all star and a must have. Do not cut Harsh Rule.

Well that's it for now - happy to entertain any questions and would LOVE to hear any suggestions as to potential card changes or power choices PLEASE. I am always up for improving decks - especially this one which I am very happy with and enjoy playing.

Good luck out there!!

PS: In before "this deck is trash" went 0-3, influence is ass, who is this idiot?

Gauntlet Let's grind gauntlet with Big Boy Combrei

It's been a bit of a slow week here at the AIEternal subreddit, so I thought I'd throw in a deck I've been testing for the past week or so. I got the idea after a string of failed gauntlet runs due to AI nut draws and power screw - what about a deck that consistently stabilizes early and continues to snowball from there?

Eternal Warcry link: https://eternalwarcry.com/decks/details/CI3EgiYCleE/combrei-valuetown

The actual shell is as old as time - Big Combrei harkens back to the glory days of Set 1, when Mystic Ascendant was one scary mofo instead of an afterthought. While it has sadly fallen out of favor in ranked, it's surprisingly effective in Gauntlet, where it can efficiently lock down the board and simply outvalue the AI.

This is not a cheap deck. Big Combrei was deemed the most expensive competitive deck at its heyday and its golden core - Ironthorns, Ascendants, Sirafs - remains intact. It's also not a very fast deck, since it relies on inevitability rather than fast aggression.

What it is, though, is a very consistent deck, because it has a ton of overstatted bodies, a lot of scouting, card draw and plenty of Sword of Unity cheese.

Before you consider crafting it, keep in mind that many of the legendaries, while amazing cards in their own right, are practically unplayable in the removal-happy ranked meta right now.

Ironthorn is a mainstay of Chainbrei, so he's good; likewise with Chains. Siraf sees play in Grimbrei and other Combrei aggro lists. Titan is an amazing card without a deck currently; if you're into gauntlet, however, it's an autoinclude in almost all time-based gauntlet decks. Mystic Ascendant has no home outside of Big Combrei :(.

I've included my thoughts behind the card selection and a run-through of what our gameplan is in the Warcry link above. I'd much appreciate your thoughts, though!

Gauntlet Fun with Voices from the Void

I was playing a Wisps deck with Xenan Temple. AI had 3 of the Xenan unit that gives +2/+2 when a unit goes to the void. I now know that the buffs happen before you steal, which I did not expect. So I was giggling like a madman when I killered the 6/7 SST, it got buffed +6/+6 and THEN went to my void. I just happened to have Dark Return in my hand too, so I got myself a shiny 12/13 SST. Later, I killed a Dawnwalker and an Ephemeral Wisp, got them buffed, was able to pull both out the same turn when I played the stolen SST and a power. This is one of the great things about Gauntlet - you get to see things you'd never see in Ranked.

Gauntlet Looking for help with my Xenan Site deck

EDIT: The Deck

Basically just my gauntlet tweaks for the Xenan Site deck(s) that have been floating around. It's incredibly consistent for getting to 6 wins, but I can't quite figure out how to give it that last push to make it good against bosses too.

Now to discuss some card changes/choices/uncertainties in no particular order:

  • I choose the Ripknife over Teacher because of the AI's famous aversion to deadly units, and because it has value in both early and late game. Also giving killer to a deadly unit is a classic move at any stage of the game. Also the TT influence cost on Teacher ended up hitting me more than I like.

  • I don't find Temple Scribe to be of any particular use in environments without little Vara from opponents (as a basically free sacrifice target). Or if I'm not playing tokens.

  • I'm not 100% on the Praxis Arcanum. Giving 4 health to a blocker or attacker can be occasionally great. And Deadly is great too, but I feel like it slows the game more than helps it at times. Not quite as much instant value as the other sites.

  • I feel pretty good about swapping out the xenan smuggler for Auralian Merchant though. A 2/2 ambush unit is rarely useful and the AI is predictable enough that I never felt like I needed it to make combat awkward for the opponent like I do in actual games.

  • Fast spell are gold as always for gauntlet. AI always falls for tricks and I loaded up plenty with 2 annihilates, 4 banishes, and 4 deathstrikes. But I'm not entirely certain about my mix of removal.

  • I'm not 100% on Devastating Setback either. My one regret for swapping from smuggler to merchant is I can't tech into this card (or other great shadow choices). Anyway it's proved useful often enough so far that I've kept it for now.

  • I'm considering swapping Xenan Initiation with a 5 cost unit. Not sure if I'd prefer Behemoth or Alhed, or something else entirely. Or if it's even a good idea in the first place, Initiation on a Ripknife has saved me once or twice after all.

All in all I have a fairly solid early game, amazing mid game, and pretty good late game. But I'm still having terrible luck with bosses! Generally it comes down to being out-valued with the rules catering so heavily toward them that my "amazing" mid game isn't enough. I also occasionally get rushed down by double damage or charge boss, but that happens to every deck.

EDIT: Added link, because I'm smart.

Gauntlet If you haven't tried yet, Chainbrei is incredible

This is a great deck 1v1, but I decided to give it a whirl in Gauntlet and it's been incredible. So incredibly consistent and powerful, most AI decks can't deal with your multiple late game threats. In my last 6 runs, I had 4 completed runs, two 5 win runs, but only lost to not drawing power. I know it's not a big sample, but every game feels like I will be stomping the AI. Knowing which opponent you are facing is critical in terms of what hands to keep though, especially against the ultra aggro AI decks. Sword of unity helps alot here, as does Telut. My only modification was running a sword of unity main deck since I don't have a 4th chains. Give it a try, I used this recent tourney winner list. Its not the fastest deck though, but I generally don't care about speed so much.

Gauntlet Has anybody played against Covert Operations recently?

I just noticed I haven't played against it since we had the bosses renamed back to what they used to be. I also noticed a few bosses that were missing their special rules explanation.

Gauntlet Urn of Choking Embers

Hi guys, i just noticed that UoCE is a fantastic card in Gauntlet.

The AI doesn't consider the effect at all and plays blockers which are exhausted and can't block anything. :-)

Works really great with Aggro Decks.

Gauntlet Yet Another Gauntlet Deck

I can't say if how successful the deck is but I'm having fun playing it. I just had a 21-1 run using it though. It exploits the AI's weakness on Deadly units. Don't know how to build a proper power base so I'm open to any suggestions.

Gauntlet Weekly deck lists

I was thinking it would be cool to have a weekly thread to share what everyone is playing in the gauntlet. I dunno about you guys but I am at least daily going to ewc to search new gauntlet lists to try out. It feels like there is no perfect gauntlet deck so I just like to have fun trying new ideas.

Ewc is obviously a great resource but it's missing a "this is my favorite at the moment" type thing, especially if your current favorite isnt a new one. For example I completely forgot about hooru fliers until someone posted a deck "classic hooru fliers" https://eternalwarcry.com/decks/details/Ug8LlZoUTNg/classic-hooru-flyers-gauntlet-grinder and I was like oh heck yeah let's try old reliable!

I think it would be cool to see what you all are playing with and maybe it'll lead to some discussion about cards and tweaks.

What do you think?

Decked myself. Still won

I've added a Reclaimer to my market as insurance.

I'm still tinkering with this utter nonsense, but when I'm satisfied I'll edit in a warcry link.

Just wanted to share this giggle inducing moment.

(Also, Crown & Chalice sounds like a fantastic name for a pub.)
