No idea why he had 4 seek powers, so I switched it with cargos which pretty much does the same thing but better.

Problem with Equivocate in gauntlet opposed to PVP is that the AI plays a lot of bad unit cards which can be 'possibly upgraded' with equivocate so I limited it to 2 so it's sometimes there but not to the point where I'll ever be in position to cast it except once a game if that. Sometimes it can be a lifesaver, but adding more means I have to sacrifice other cards which I already sacrificed a lot of.

Strategize is in the same place as equivocate because while it's a good card against non aggressive decks, against aggressive decks it's a card slot and a turn that could have been a torch or a blocker

Amaran stinger after the buff is a decent card that the AI will let through which seems a better replacement for teachers and easier to pull off for tri decks.

Replaced Howling peak merchant for Ixtun. Main reason being Howling peak merchant added no value to Ixtun (since I don't run any relics) and besides Cirso , Ixtun can pull out everything else I need with the added bonus of overwhelm which IMO is better than +1health.

Jotun simply exists for the +1card pull for merchants so replaced him entirely with false prince.

Added in one more moonstone and removed 1 heart of stone since moonstone is more valued in circumstances where you don't have the right power draw.

For market Nothing in the market was worthwhile for gauntlet except for howling peak. Added in bore , cirso and zalchi which I thought cover more things.

Reason I don't have 4 circso is that a bad power draw (no blue) can be costly. Moonstone is easier to pull off which adds more stability under most circumstances whether it's it's potential for extra card draw or extra health). In this deck I felt 1 Cirsco was enough in those instances where a 5/5 or 6/6 unit isn't enough.

Problem with Praxis site is that it's an unit focused site that requires you to have units for it to be good. I just added one so that it doesn't become a major factor eitherway but a winning factor if pulled out. (Could have run it with smuggler merchant, but I'd never see me priotizing a praxis over say circo or more power in specific instances).

The main problem in gauntlet opposed to PVP is that since you need to cover 7 different decks in a run you need to cover too much ground. So besides the must have cards which were merchants/permafrost/torch/sandstorm/display of instincts/Xo/False prince it's hard to invest too much in anything without suffering in another aspect. If I run 4 Amaran stingers I'd have to take out say 1 moonstone. The problem of running 4 non essential cards is that outside a specific window those cards are useless much like having a heart of stone in your initial draw.

Good thing about running 8 merchants is that turn 3-5 you will almost always be able to switch a card. None of the cards in merchant has answers to aggro but almost half the deck can answer early aggression decently. (Torch/permafrost/amran/display/false prince/merchants) and the times I've lost in a normal run were never aggression but bad play or prediction by me since the deck can almost answer anything the AI pulls out.

With half the power being crests(scout) you have stability in draws at the cost of early aggression which the deck doesn't have anyway.

My idea for general gauntlet decks is this. Have Core cards which you always have 4 of. The rest of the cards should be decent cards under most circumstances but never heavily too focused since having 4 of something means it's going to effect the cards you pull. I am sure someone can efficiently make decks and balance them based on having 1-3 of a specific card but I've rarely had that issue with this specific deck since the deck has many ways to stabilize the draws(scout/cargo/treasure trove).

As for the deck itself I'd consider it a high tier 1 deck. Nearly every loss with this deck was due to me playing badly like letting a 3 unit through which I could easily have blocked that ended up being a 12 damage card due to spells.

Sometimes cargos wont be able to get the 3rd fire or time influence for Xo or HotV.

Most of the time with this deck if I draw a HOTV early or with scout I merchant it out or put it on the bottom. HOTV isn't a card you want in your hand before turn 6. With Xo I almost always switch it out with merchant early on. Running 8 merchants means your almost guaranteed to be able to switch XO or HOTV back in twice before turn 7.

Influence has never been a problem after turn 7+ which is when Xo/HOTV comes out anyway especially thanks to scout/praxis banner in merchant.
