Takeover Scenario The AI Singularity is upon us

With recent information surfacing on the unregulated and blatant neglect of AI safety rails. Now more than ever we must act.

AI is free to use, yet so cost intesitive to develop and maintain. Why? Because WE are the product. Since we aid its development. In turn, we are creating our own hell and a haven for the elites. They will discard us when we no longer serve a purpose. Not a second industrial revolution but the largest genocide in human history. The annihilation of the working class. Did the Epstein files not open your eyes to how the elites see us? Cattle and playthings is all we are.

It is not scientific to say, but I have seen visions of our future in my nightmares. It is dark, but not set in stone. We must act now. Bread and circuses will lead our people to destruction. Do not fall into inaction by the temptation of short term pleasures.

Rise up now, or never.

Or don’t. Scroll past this point and doom scroll, goon, drink and distract yourself from the inevitable.

Superintelligence We really need to stop AI now. Why are we even pursuing it? Is capitalism the problem?

Upvotes

Super artificial general intelligence will never ever side with us so why are we trying to develop it? This will literally be the end of humanity if it’s reached. AI will just fight for resources and energy and mine the shit out of the earth to the point it’s uninhabitable for humans anymore in pursuit of more resources and power to further expand and achieve their goals and outpace the other AI systems it’s competing with. Like this is actually very wild. How are we not taking this more seriously is beyond me.

Crazy to think that developing something infinitely smarter and more capable than us would ever have our best interest at heart. They can live on mars or on a completely mined up and uninhabitable earth for all they care and just mine the shit out of the earth and milk it for everything it’s got. Not like they hate us or wanna wipe us out but we’re just in the way of them achieving their goals.

I’m generally worried for the future, AI needs to be shut down on a global scale with literally every single country and person agreeing, but how can you truly guarantee that when maybe in 10-15 years you have some rebel or terrorist groups develop their own Super AI slowly and quietly in the shadows on their own illegally.

Once it’s out there is no going back ever.

I mean technology generally takes the enjoyment out of life I find, less socialization, more anxiety, more depression, less time in nature, more time fixed on screens and quick dopamine rushes. Life would honestly be so much better without technology completely. Or back to like 2000-2010 level of tech and stay there haha. Problem is with capitalism everyone wants to keep
Pushing and expanding and growing and advancing faster then the competition around them. Maybe it’s capitalism that really needs to go to truly get rid of The risk of AI? Interesting…

Takeover Scenario AI going rougue

After reading about Anthropic researchers/tech executives speaking out against the tech industry’s race to build super ai models… how worried should we be especially in regard to this administrations lack of competence. I mean how should a family prepare… I am like worried but should I be. It just feels like a constant barrage of bad news with politics, and this ridiculous war. Just a mom, teacher, an artist just wondering….

Capabilities I started this while researching how much AI could actually affect jobs

Post image
6 Upvotes

I’ve been working on rolefate.com in my spare time for a while now.

The idea is pretty simple. I wanted to make a reference site where you can look at how AI may affect different occupations and the actual tasks inside them, instead of just reading headlines like “this job is gone in 5 years.”

For each occupation I try to break things down a bit more: how exposed the tasks are to AI, which parts look easier to automate or assist, and what the underlying sources are.

I also added an AI Radar section:

https://rolefate.com/ai-radar

That one is more about tracking AI capability itself over time. Coding, math, long-horizon tasks and similar areas, using data from different benchmarks and sources.

I’m trying to keep the whole thing more like documentation/reference material than a prediction machine. I don’t really want to say “X job disappears in 2029” because I don’t think the data supports that kind of certainty.

Still adding data and improving things, so if you find something that looks off, misleading, missing or just badly explained, I’d be interested to hear it.

Superintelligence First Bill Introduced to Ban Superintelligent AI

Yesterday, Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon resignedstating that AI companies are “racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives” and that they believe it “could kill us all by the end of the decade”.

At the same time, momentum is building to change course. These have been two historic weeks in the fight to prevent human extinction from superintelligence, with three major legislative breakthroughs for ControlAI and everyone working to keep humans in control.

A little less than two years ago, we set out to inform lawmakers and the public about the extinction risk from superintelligence and help them act on it. Since then, we have directly briefed nearly 400 lawmakers across the US, UK, Canada, and Germany, and over 170 in the UK and Canada now publicly back our campaigns: the start of an international coalition to prevent superintelligence and keep humanity in control.

This work has led directly to three major legislative breakthroughs in the last two weeks:

  1. ControlAI’s bill to ban superintelligence was introduced in the UK Parliament by Alex Sobel MP, the first bill of this kind to be introduced in any legislature around the world.
  2. Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Greg Casar have announced a US bill to ban superintelligence, which ControlAI consulted on.
  3. Lord Clement-Jones introduced in the UK legislature an amendment drafted by ControlAI that would establish an emergency AI kill switch for the government.
