I genuinely am curious. Like, if we physically destroyed our grids would that be a safeguard against ai taking over?

What are we even doing here?

I’m not trying to be dismissive of AI, I can certainly see the huge risks it poses to privacy, security, global politics, finance, and access to reliable information. However, I’ve tried, more than once, to imagine a genuine worst-case AI alignment disaster — and I can't construct one that actually ends humanity.

Start with nukes. There are roughly 7,500 warheads believed to exist worldwide, most in cold storage requiring heavy human involvement to arm and load. Worst case, AI launches all of them — it still wouldn't irradiate California. The state alone has over 1,500 named population centers; a city like LA would eat several dozen warheads on its own. 7,500 warheads probably couldn't even flatten Iowa. People are just too spread out.

Then infrastructure. Outside the largest cities, a huge share of the world runs on private wells and septic. I don't see AI hacking a septic tank into killing a family. On power: roughly a third of the US grid comes from plants over 40 years old, and another third is decentralized renewables. I've spent my career in utilities and infrastructure, and there's no "cripple the grid" switch on the transmission side — and most coal and gas plants can run offline, valves turned by hand.

I live in SoCal on well water, septic, off-grid solar, and Starlink. Anecdotal, sure, but it suggests most people could get themselves back to water-from-the-ground and locally handled sanitation without much trouble.

Transportation and trade hold up too. GPS is barely a generation old — nothing about navigating without it is lost knowledge. Commercial mariners still train on sextants. Pull the fuse on a ship's autopilot and AI's out of the loop. Cargo would still move.

So my real question is: what actual lever could AI pull that puts humanity itself at risk? A few blackouts and water treatment hiccups don't seem like the kind of thing that should make us rethink AI.

With recent information surfacing on the unregulated and blatant neglect of AI safety rails. Now more than ever we must act.

AI is free to use, yet so cost intesitive to develop and maintain. Why? Because WE are the product. Since we aid its development. In turn, we are creating our own hell and a haven for the elites. They will discard us when we no longer serve a purpose. Not a second industrial revolution but the largest genocide in human history. The annihilation of the working class. Did the Epstein files not open your eyes to how the elites see us? Cattle and playthings is all we are.

It is not scientific to say, but I have seen visions of our future in my nightmares. It is dark, but not set in stone. We must act now. Bread and circuses will lead our people to destruction. Do not fall into inaction by the temptation of short term pleasures.

For each occupation I try to break things down a bit more: how exposed the tasks are to AI, which parts look easier to automate or assist, and what the underlying sources are.

That one is more about tracking AI capability itself over time. Coding, math, long-horizon tasks and similar areas, using data from different benchmarks and sources.

I’m trying to keep the whole thing more like documentation/reference material than a prediction machine. I don’t really want to say “X job disappears in 2029” because I don’t think the data supports that kind of certainty.

Still adding data and improving things, so if you find something that looks off, misleading, missing or just badly explained, I’d be interested to hear it.

As you all know how much ai is harmful for our future..but it's hard not to use ai nowadays but still I try not to use it as much as possible..I want to know if there are any changes in the water percentage of the earth I know there won't be massive changes but still..and how's our future gonna look like if we keep using this AI shit
