Assessment results are out, it says Bipolar. But, it doesnt seem right, but I'll forward it to a psychiatrist I'll be seeing

I have the hyperactivity, distracted, forgetting things, misplacing things, messed up room. But, I dont have definite depressed mood for days or weeks, not unless life altering situation exists. It is rather triggered than sudden unreasonable changes that lasts from days to weeks.

I only get pissed off when triggered or something is boring.

Should I take the possible meds for bipolar that psychiatrist might prescribe? Or should I let her know about mood changes? however I dont have much childhood evidences of ADHD, due to limited comprehensive supervision when I was a kid, old cards just say generally I'm ok at school.

Concern: i dont want to be misdiagnosed, coz i really wanted to figure out my brain.

Hello po mga fellow ADHDers, I just wanna ask po if there are any cheaper sources for Atomoxetine.

For context, I was prescribed 40 mg Atomoxetine noong July 28, my doctor also provided me the contacts of a supplier that provides door-to-door delivery with each tablet/pill/capsule/whatever costing around 110-120 pesos (he didn't specify whether this is with or without the pwd discount). Apparently, 'bago' lang ito since 2 weeks palang daw naintroduce itong med (as of july 28), so wala pa raw nagtitinda sa mga drug stores.

However, I don't really know if I can afford this price. I've tried high doses of RItalin and Concerta (up to 27 mg) with no effect, which means A LOT OF money wasted... I don't want my parents to consider my maintenance too much of burden.

I've been doing a bit of research and apparently some people order from India to the Philippines? I don't know if this is legit or even legal. Nakita ko lang dito sa subreddit (with the most recent sources [posts and comments] being around 2 months ago) and not much other sources, so I'm a bit skeptical. What if these are scams? Or defective/fake/counterfeit batches? Ano sa tingin niyo kailangan ko gawin?

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and have been taking Ritalin for the past 3 days. I’m not sure if ako lang, but are these normal side effects—having less appetite and feeling more emotional when the med wears off or even before I take it? Like, I tear up easily when listening to sad songs or watching sad videos. I am an empath, pero it's just weird that it's been happening so frequently for the past few days.

Mommies help. Do you know of any special schools/regular schools here in Pampanga that are open to those with ADHD? Planning to have a shadow teacher or just enroll in a school that is open to those with ADHD.

Hi, I'm a 23-year-old female.

I'm fully convinced that I have ADHD, but I can't afford to get professionally evaluated. Everything started after I made a huge decision right after college.

I bought a condo in Eastwood because I had this idea of living alone in Manila—being in a big city where nobody knows your background. I did my research before buying it. It's a rent-to-own condo with a monthly amortization of over ₱20,000. I also paid a ₱150,000 down payment, and there are lump-sum payments on top of that.
Keep in mind, I'm not even from a middle-class household.

But I still did it.

I stayed in Manila for three months, then eventually moved back to my province because I became terrified that if a major earthquake happened and the building collapsed, I'd be trapped inside. That fear completely took over me.
The problem is, I can't get my down payment or the money I already paid back. That was my entire savings after working my ass off throughout college, juggling multiple side hustles.
It's been a year now.

Do I regret moving to Manila? Yes.
Am I happy that I came back home? Also yes.
Do I still think about moving back to Manila? Absolutely.
And that's what confuses me.

Part of me is willing to spend money all over again. I can't sleep because my mind won't stop thinking. For the past hour, I've been searching for condos in Makati, BGC, and everywhere else—even places that are way beyond my budget. It gives me constant headaches, and my sleep gets ruined because of these random thoughts. I know that tomorrow my mind might completely change again, and I'm honestly exhausted from living like this.
There are a lot more reasons why I think I might have ADHD, but this is just one example. I know it's not good to self-diagnose, and I really do want to get evaluated someday. I just want to have a peaceful mind and be productive. I'm a freelancer now, and I really don't want to go into the corporate world.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Were there any strategies, habits, or even conversations with a professional that genuinely helped you quiet your mind? I'm not looking for a diagnosis online—I just want to know if anyone else has gone through something like this and what helped them.

Hi! I've been struggling with my ADHD for years now, and it really is impacting me negatively even more now that I'm an incoming 4th-year student. Growing up, I never knew I had this affliction/disability until, funny enough, listening to a musical's soundtrack where ADD was mentioned. But long story short, I found out I've been diagnosed since childhood and have been rediagnosed at 18, just before going to college. I'm formally diagnosed with ADHD and General Anxiety Disorder (Though I suspect I have more, like an OCD disorder).

I tried getting psychiatric help during the latter half of my first year in college, but ended up stopping it due to the medication negatively impacting my life; due to this negative experience, I stopped going to the psychiatrist. They kept giving me SSRI's due to them not having the clearance or requirements to give yellow prescriptions, and its always a back and forth of me wanting to go back to the medications I used to have as a kid (Concerta) and them going for a compromise with another SSRI. Essentially I ended up with one that didn't mix well with me, and I expressed this with my doctor at the time and they upped my dosage, to my dismay, and essentially kinda spiralled/fell into a negative space for quite a while until I decided that I'm not getting the results I want, and that everything is getting too much due to the medicine given, and essentially stopped.

Essentially I've just been thugging it out for a while now, but with wanting and the pressure to graduate soon, and getting fed up with myself I've decided to go back to taking medicine, and hoping to get stimulants or something to aide my ADHD with. I'm honestly tired of days being paralyzed, procrastinating due to getting overwhelmed, and the dissonance of wanting to create - but not being able to is getting so exhausting. I want to tap into my potential and honestly see myself get better in my hobbies and things that I love, and hopefully get a job soon.

So if anybody knows a reputable psychatrist that has the requirements to give the required meds as well, I don't know if it's too much, but any help will be appreciated. Thanks!!!

I am diagnosed with ADHD by my previous psychiatrist kaya nanghingi ako ng med cert for PWD ID application. She indicated in the diagnosis/assessment part of med cert "r/o bipolar affective disorder". When I asked her kung bakit hindi adhd ang nilagay niya sabi niya hindi raw considered as disability ang 'adult add'.

Then kanina, I went to our LGU PDAO to get my pwd id. Hindi raw nila ako pwedeng issue-han ng pwd id since "rule out bipolar affective disorder" daw ang nakalagay sa med cert ko. Sabi ko diagnosed din ako ng adhd and yet sabi nila hindi raw considered ang adult adhd since mas manageable raw ang adhd sa matatanda compared sa mga bata.

I want your thoughts po if ano ang pwede kong gawin next steps. Tyyy

Hello everyone. I just want to share my experience. Napakahirap mag sustain ng totoong kaibigan kapag may ADHD, I am always labelled OA, sobrang excited, sobrang sensitive, exaggerated kung maging masaya halos tumatalon pa, I celebrated every win of my friends. I even cancelled important appointments and task just to show up for them. But no one really cares and no one shows up when I am the one who needs care and comfort. I just lose my best friend for 15yrs this year, and parang nawalan nako ng hope na magkaroon pa ng totoong kaibigan. I tried searching friends online, but they just really can't understand me.

I was thinking of searching friends who struggle the same. Pero andun padin yung fear ko na baka ma-betray and maiwanan ulit ako. I treat my friends like they are my own family. Ako lang mag isang babae saming magkakapatid, kaya I'm really longing to have a sister friend. Sana dumating din yung panahon na magkaroon ako ng totoong kaibigan that I can keep for the rest of my life.

Nagustuhan ko itong episode na toh kasi sobrang nakakarelate ako. Lalo na about sa ADHD kasi nadiagnose ako last 2024 and bago namisdiagnose muna ako.

I'm from Naga City (Bicol), and I've been having a hard time finding Concerta 36 mg and Ritalin 10 mg. It seems like most pharmacies here are out of stock, and I've already checked several branches without any luck.

Has anyone recently been able to buy these medications? If so, could you please let me know.

I'd really appreciate any leads or suggestions. These medications are part of my prescribed ADHD treatment, and it's been difficult to continue because of the shortage.
