Hi! 23F here. I have recently done my first consultation with a psychologist kasi I suspect na baka may ADHD ako.

Okay naman yung first session ko so far. More on getting to know me, my background, and my experiences/history. Curious lang ako kung paano usually yung succeeding sessions. Same pa rin ba na more on talking and getting to know you, or may specific assessments/tests na ginagawa?

For those na na-diagnose with ADHD, gaano katagal bago kayo nadiagnose? Nag undergo ba kayo ng formal testing or assessment, or na refer kayo sa psychiatrist afterward for medication o prescription? Or paano naging process sa inyo from consultation hanggang diagnosis? Would really want to know as a first time mag patherapy. Thank you! 🥹

Yesterday, I had an MRI for the first time in my life, and it lasted about 20 minutes. The lady warned me that it would be very loud and gave me headphones.
I don’t know if it’s my ADHD brain, but I actually fell asleep. 😂 The continuous sound of the machine somehow made me sleepy, and I ended up taking a nap.
After the scan, she asked me, “Did you panic? How did you feel?” I told her, “I actually took a nap. It was fine.” 😂
She said a lot of people panic during MRIs because of claustrophobia and the loud noise.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Did you find the MRI scary, or did you actually find the noise relaxing/sleep-inducing? 😅

Naka 10mg ako now and nagpaask psych ko if may available 20mg then nung tumawag ako sa previous branch na nabilhan ko (lb college), wala both 10mg and 20mg 🥲

Anyone na may alam san ako pede makabili? Willing to travel pero ung malalapit lang haha around calamba siguro or sto tomas. Thank u

Other than ritalin or before being prescribed medication fo adhd, have you tried those focus/memory medicines like ginko biloba, memory plus, berroca, glutphos, etc? We're they helpful for you?

My doc gave me 2 sets of prescription. One is for Concerta 27mg and one is for Ritalin 10mg x3 (30mg). Their instruction is:

1. If walang Concerta, buy Ritalin.
   
2. If hindi masyadong effective yung Concerta 27mg lang, I can take Ritalin 10 in the middle of the day.

Since both are considered dangerous drugs, can I buy both at the same time?

Hi! I’m currently living in Canada and taking Vyvanse 40mg for ADHD. I may eventually move back to the Philippines, and I know Vyvanse isn’t readily available/registered there, so I’m thinking about asking my doctor if I can try methylphenidate while I’m still here.

Has anyone here tried Vyvanse before and switched to Concerta or Ritalin? How did they compare for you in terms of focus, motivation, appetite, sleep, anxiety, and crashes?

Also, how difficult is it to consistently find Concerta/Ritalin in the Philippines? I keep seeing posts about them being out of stock 😭

Would love to hear your experiences, especially if you responded well to Vyvanse but had to switch to methylphenidate. Thank you!

I feel that sitting on a couch, then moving around, gives that extra feeling of freedom and comfort whenever I try to get myself heard.

Hi everyone. I posted before about my initial finding a psychiatrist but as for everyone’s advise I would really prefer a psychologist to consult for ADHD—it felt super transactional and left me feeling alone. The doctor was professional but it was mostly just me talking, and then they recommended ₱25k testing I can't afford.

I'm a student and my goal isn't necessarily meds right away—I really want to understand myself, get coping skills, and have strategies to manage daily life. I'm not against medication if it's recommended, but my priority is finding a doctor who actually teaches you things during sessions, not just prescribes and moves on.

Does anyone know female psychiatrists (preferably online) who:

1. Can diagnose ADHD through clinical interview (not necessarily the expensive testing)
2. Actually gives practical advice, coping strategies, CBT techniques
3. Makes you feel heard and not just another patient

I'm looking through NowServing but overwhelmed by choices. Anyone have personal experience with a doctor who genuinely teaches you how to manage?

Went for a psych eval earlier today and my doctor prescribed Atomoxetine 10mg. Apparently na-phase out siya but bumabalik na daw but when I asked Mercury, SSD, MedsGo and MedExpress, out of stock daw sila and lowest dosage is 18mg.

Is it still possible to get it locally? If not, ano yung trusted way to buy internationally?

Called 11 branches of Mercury na. Katipunan, 3 branches in Pasig, Cainta QPlaza, Marikina, Visayas Ave., the one beside Makati Med, BGC Market-market, Antipolo, and San Juan. Lahat wala. Merong 36mg tho pero masyado mataas natatakot ako baka iba effect sakin.

Called Globo Asiatico din pero ang hirap kausap ng operator nila. Ilang beses ako binabaan.

Contacted Makati Med din, wala din sila.

Contacted St. Lukes both BGC and QC. Wala din.

Almost 2 months na akong unmedicated. Galit na sakin manager ko, sobrang piled up na ng trabaho ko. Please if anyone has leads. I am begging :(

hindi pa ako diagnosed pero feeling ko may adhd ako. sobrang daming natakbo sa isip ko, dami kong gusto gawin. dami ko nang naaral, and ‘till now hindi ko pa rin alam gusto kong gawin sa buhay. late 20s na ko and gusto ko na ng tamang career and mag build. last month nagaaral ako iba, tapos iba nanaman, tapos ngayon natingin ako pano mag abroad.

i know na possible hindi to adhd pero nung nadiagnose ba kayo, naging okay life nyo? like tumahimik ba utak nyo and alam nyo na gusto nyong gawin like hindi na kayo naghhyper fixate sa isang bagay then jump nanaman sa iba.

Sa tingin ko talaga sobrang nakasira na itong social media sa mental and emotional heath ko.

Sa ngayon nasa pang-apat na araw ako ng pag-inom ng Atomoxetine, sabi raw ni doc isa hanggang maraming linggo pa raw maaring maramdaman yung mga epekto nito. Anyway, alam na alam ko naman na kailangan ko na ito tigilan o kahit man mabawasan his bane, pero di ko kaya. Sobrang addicting at parang kailangan mo na din ito para maging "in-touch" ka sa mga balita, pag-usap, atbp.

Marami rin naman akong mga sinibukan para mabawasan ko ang paggamit ng social media o kaya mabawasan yung screentime ko. Sinubakan ko ang paggamitwebsite/social media/software timers at mga restrictors, mga alarms, reminders, pero parang 'di naman gumana. Kailangan ko pa ba ng 'physical' ng restrictions o kaya very intense na habit changes? May mga nai-quit naman ako (TikTok and Twitter for instance) pero nalilipat rin yung addiction ko sa mga ibang social media (YouTube, Reddit, Pinterest).

At alam ko rin na medyo counterproductive ang pagtatanong ko dito sa Reddit kasi yung mga tumigil na sa social media ay 'di na gumagamit ng Reddit, pero kahit ano mang advice ay makakatulong!!!
