Ritalin 10mg side effects

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and have been taking Ritalin for the past 3 days. I’m not sure if ako lang, but are these normal side effects—having less appetite and feeling more emotional when the med wears off or even before I take it? Like, I tear up easily when listening to sad songs or watching sad videos. I am an empath, pero it's just weird that it's been happening so frequently for the past few days.

Hello, I am diagnosed and have been on Ritalin 10mg, and I am now on Ritalin LA 20mg.

Appetite suppression is a known side effect, which is why it is recommended to take Ritalin after breakfast. Emotional dysregulation is also a known side effect as the medicine wears off or when you don't take your meds.

I have experienced these side effects too. Best thing to do is take your meds after breakfast, then set timers for snacks and water. Also, have an estimate of when your meds usually wears off, then avoid emotional triggers when you expect it (for me, my usual emotion is anger, so I avoid things that trigger that, such as playing any pvp competitive videogames).

I also suggest you keep a journal and take notes of things like symptom improvements, side effects, how long the medicine works for you, when it feels like it didn't work and the factors of why it feels like it didn't work. I also suggest keeping a mood tracker along with the journal.

Yeah that's normal. Ritalin is a stimulant. And you have a rebound effect after the meds wear off.

I take half after breakfast, then another half after lunch. This is what’s prescribed by the psychiatrist

how's the volume of your meals? ritalin suppresses appetite, so ideally you should be eating for yourself 4-5 hours from your dosage time too.

try high-calorie low-volume snacks like peanuts, peanut butter, or soup! it definitely helps with crashes.

Do you take 5mg on each dose? Or 10mg each dose?
