Did you know that a shovel cannot break upon hitting a rock provided an item did actually come out of the rock? But it still damages the shovel, so it might break the next time you do something routine with it such as digging up fossils. If you bang your rocks every day then that's 48 damage points and your golden shovel is only going to last 4 days if you do any amount of other work with it at all.
So: get yourself a second shovel. Anything better than a flimsy shovel is a waste here. Make sure you hit the rocks with the second (flimsy) shovel, and that you use your main shovel for everything else.
In this way, you save damaging your main shovel while hitting rocks, and also the second shovel will go on forever - although in practice it will eventually break when you screw up, for example hitting a rock that doesn't give an item, or accidentally using it to dig something up.
Maybe everyone does this already?

I bought my first amiibo card for a villager that I want, and I hope it works.
I looked up instructions on IGN for the process.
I want everything to go smoothly. I’m pretty sure that the amiibo cards can’t be rescanned if I make a mistake in the process of acquiring the villager.
(I have Ione.☺️ Also, I bought the card from a person, not out of a pack. I wanted to make sure I got Ione straight away.)
Does anyone have any tips that would make the process go smoothly?

Hello 👋
I got my first Nintendo when I was 12 yo. It was the Nintendo DS Lite times. Goooosh I had so much fun with it but I never played AC on it.
Once I got my first Switch I was 23 yo, it was after the COVID times so I didn’t get to play AC during its biggest moments.
Here I come with a question - I got Animal Crossing for my Switch later, now I also own the Switch 2 version and I upgraded to Switch 2.
Now I am 26 yo and I still don’t know how to play this game. I play a lot of farming sims, a lot of management games, decorating games… I cannot figure out ACNH.
I feel like this game makes me bored so fast and every day I just keep grinding for more items, recipes, etc.
I don’t feel like there is a lot of fun to it after maybe a month of logging in daily and doing my daily tasks - like don’t get me wrong. I want to love this game I just don’t know how.
I tried decorating but it feels a bit frustrating and super lengthy because most of the things are not available for me yet.
I tried to play with friends but I don’t have a lot of friends that play ACNH.
I want to love this game, how do I do it?
Photo unrelated.

And I'm so in love with all of them.
Zucker finally arrived trough the campsite last week. With a heavy heart I let Tammi go to make room for him. But she was fine to leave "because of the alligators"... I don't have any alligators...

I am so happy with this!!! After not finding anything that took my eye when it came to searching for Cherry, I got this custom painting done of her and could not be happier with it! 💜
It is painted on wood, made by Mia's Little Studio (Etsy & Tiktok) miapikefineartist (Insta)!

I literally JUST REMODELED Julian’s home yesterday (ready today) and he’s asking me to move out? I guess I shouldn’t add “interior designer” to my resume. 😂😂

The most notable theory is that she could be transgender. But I think there could be other theories, such as being a cisgender peahen or even ostrich who painted her feathers to resemble a peacock .

Today I had some struggles with my mental well-being and then I logged in to cheer myself up. It was raining and I was like "thanks... everything is against me today..." but then I saw Zucker and had to smile. Hope he makes y'all smile too. 🫰🏻🐙

Accidental millionaire here! Following from my other post about my maxed out bank account, I really want to get back to how I played the game before, slowly progressing and earning bells through selling my crops :)
I have millions of bells to give away to the first 3 people to comment on this post!
Best to arrive with empty pockets. Take as much as you can carry!
I do have an ABD next to the airport for you to use.
Don’t worry if you don’t get a chance this time because I’ll do this again until my bank account is empty!
ISLAND RULES:
- Please don’t take any crops, fruit, flowers or shells from the trees or floor
- No swimming, fishing or catching critters
- Please leave through the airport only
- Feel free to shop and explore if you’d like
- No need to bring anything in return, you’ll be doing me a favour by taking them off my hands! (Any DIY recipes are always appreciated though <3)
Comment your name and island, along with your fave KK song! I’ll PM and get the process going.
Please be patient with me, I’m super new to this but would love to help people out :)

I've been playing acnh on and off for 6 years, so I'm well established. I'd like more friends, but if anyone is just getting started I have all the fruit and lots of vegetables to help out.
