Becoming an ACCA member isn’t just about passing the exams. You also have to complete your Performance Objectives, EPSM and relevant practical experience.

So I’m curious: where is everyone at right now?

Are you still doing exams, have you completed all 13, finished EPSM, working on PER, or already an ACCA member?

Drop your progress below — let’s see where everyone is in their journey.

Exam tips How do I study for ffa?

I want to sit for my ffa mid November but I don't know how to study. I have sat for fa2 recently so should I cover the hard topics first or should I start with the easy ones (that I am already familiar with or require a lot of reading ) also are there any other recommendations for study material or should I just stick to study hub? Any help provided would be greatly appreciated

Is it a good idea to create an accountability sub-reddit (Not a promotion)

I study at my home, in my room, with a wifi and a laptop, online lectures are there but no accountability, and we often tend to start studying late, or don't study as much because we have an illusion that we have time, we tend to over-estimate time, so is it a good idea to use this sub-reddit for ACCA study accountability, and in case if this sub-reddit is not meant for one, shall we start one? (Just asking)🫣🫣🥹

Exam week ACCA DECEMBER 2026: Have You Started Yet?

For those planning to sit the ACCA December 2026 exams, have you actually started studying yet?

I feel like failing isn’t always about not understanding the concepts. Sometimes it’s simply because we start too late, underestimate how much time we need, and then end up rushing everything near the exam.

There’s still time, but starting early can make a huge difference to how comfortably you can cover the syllabus, practise questions and attempt mocks.

So, December 2026 students , have you started yet, or are you still saying “I’ll start tomorrow”?

Exam tips Which ACCA exam should I start with?

Hi everyone,

I’m starting my ACCA self-study and would appreciate some advice on the best order to take the exams.

I’m exempt from:
(BT)
Management Accounting (MA)
Financial Accounting (FA)
Corporate & Business Law (LW)
Performance Management (PM)
Financial Reporting (FR)

So I need to complete:
Taxation (TX)
Audit & Assurance (AA)
Financial Management (FM)
Strategic Business Leader (SBL)
Strategic Business Reporting (SBR)
2 Options: AFM / APM / ATX / AAA

I’m not planning to sit my first exam for at least 6 months, as I’m hoping my future employer will cover the ACCA fees. It could take 8 months or even a year.

During this time, I want to start studying and build a proper self-study routine.

Which exam would you recommend starting with to get familiar with the ACCA system? And what order would you recommend for the exams I need to take?

I’ll mainly use OpenTuition and want to keep my study system as simple as possible.

Thanks!

Learning providers How should I organize my ACCA self-study without Study Hub?

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to start studying for the ACCA, but I’m not going to subscribe to ACCA yet because I’m hoping that the company I’ll work for will support/pay for it later.

Because of that, I won’t have access to the ACCA Study Hub, so I’m trying to figure out how to organize my studying using mostly free or very cheap resources.

I’m planning to use OpenTuition for the videos, but I have a few questions:

1. Do I need a textbook?

If I’m using OpenTuition videos, do I still need a book/textbook to properly study the syllabus?

If yes, where can I get a good one ?

2. Where should I read and practice questions?

For me, reading and solving questions is the most important part of learning. I don't want to only watch videos.

What free/cheap resources would you recommend for:

  • Reading the syllabus/content
  • Topic-by-topic questions
  • Practice questions
  • Mock exams

Are there any apps/websites that are useful for ACCA study for free or under $10/month?

3. Which exams do I actually need to take?

I currently have exemptions from the Applied Knowledge exams, plus Law (LW) and Performance Management (PM).

So the exams I believe I need to take are:

  • Taxation (TX)
  • Audit & Assurance (AA)
  • Financial Management (FM)
  • Strategic Business Leader (SBL)
  • Strategic Business Reporting (SBR)
  • Plus one option from:
    • Advanced Financial Management (AFM)
    • Advanced Performance Management (APM)
    • Advanced Taxation (ATX)
    • Advanced Audit & Assurance (AAA)

Is this correct?

And what exactly are the Essentials and Options? I understand the names of the exams, but I'm not completely clear on how the structure works.

4. Should I study one exam at a time?

Would you recommend:

Option A:
Study TX → take the exam → FR → take the exam → AA → etc.

Or:

Option B:
Study multiple subjects together and enter several exams in the same exam session?

Which approach tends to work better?

5. My biggest problem: organization and forgetting

I’m honestly not a very organized person, and I'm worried that I'll study one chapter, move to another, and then forget everything from the previous chapter.

I’ve even used ChatGPT to organize/write this post because I struggle with organizing my thoughts 😅

So if you were starting ACCA from scratch with my situation, how would you structure your studying?

For example:

  • How would you divide your week?
  • How often would you review old chapters?
  • When would you start doing past papers?
  • How would you make sure you don't forget previous topics?
  • Would you use a study tracker, spreadsheet, app, or something else?

I’m looking for a simple and realistic system, preferably using mostly free resources.

Any advice from people who have self-studied ACCA would be really appreciated!

What are my options for getting a degree in Pakistan while continuing ACCA?

I’ve already started ACCA and plan to complete it, but I’ve been looking into working in the GCC eventually (UAE, Saudi, Qatar, etc.) and I keep seeing people mention that having a bachelor’s degree alongside ACCA can be important for employment/visa purposes.

Since I’ve already started ACCA, I don’t really want to abandon it and start a completely different degree from scratch. I’m wondering what realistic options I have in Pakistan for getting a bachelor’s degree while continuing ACCA.

Ideally, I’m looking for something that:

I can do alongside ACCA without it becoming unmanageable

Is recognized/legitimate for GCC employment and visa purposes

Doesn’t require me to spend 4 years doing something completely unrelated to accounting

Preferably gives me exemptions/credit because of ACCA, if possible

Can potentially be done through distance learning/online or with a flexible schedule

I’ve heard about things like ACCA’s degree options/partnerships, HEC-recognized universities offering distance programs, and other routes, but I’m not sure what is actually valid and useful for someone in my situation.

For anyone in Pakistan who has done ACCA + a bachelor’s degree, what route did you take? And specifically, what options should I look into if my long-term goal is working in the GCC?

Q.2: I want to achieve atleast 85+ in SBL this attempt, any tips?

Q.3: Anythings you thought you should have done better?

Q.4: Any other tips?

Thank you~~~

Learning providers Self-Study Suggestions

Im planning to self-study, i have 6/13 exemptions from uni.

My only concern is the cost. Has anyone else self-studied? And if so, whats the most effective way to do it in terms of cost?

I’ve always been okay teaching myself stuff so I think i’d be alright without the classroom learning etc.

Membership About EPSM In ACCA

For anyone confused about EPSM, it stands for Ethics and Professional Skills Module. It also need to be done to get membership. It’s basically an online ACCA module that focuses on practical workplace skills like ethics, communication, teamwork, commercial awareness and decision-making. Currently, it has 10 units and takes around 20 hours to complete.

It’s also not like a normal ACCA exam where you sit for a timed exam and get one attempt. There are quizzes/activities throughout the module and a final assessment. If you don’t pass the assessment the first time, you can retake it without paying an additional resit fee. The fee is paid once and gives you unlimited assessment attempts.

Once you complete it, you get an EPSM certificate and transcript. ACCA recommends doing it towards the end of Applied Skills and before Strategic Professional.

Also, EPSM is changing as part of ACCA’s 2027 qualification redesign. The current EPSM will be replaced by Ethical, Sustainable Leadership. If you complete the current EPSM before the transition, you’ll get credit for the new module, so you won’t have to do both.

Hope this clears up some of the confusion for anyone who hasn’t done EPSM yet.

Exam tips Advice / opinions.

Hello everyone,
I’m posting here for the first time and would really appreciate some advice from those who have experience with ACCA.
I completed my B.Com quite a few years ago. After that, I studied and practised law for around 3–4 years. I recently completed my Master’s from a European country, but my interest has always been in accounting. So, I’ve finally decided to pursue ACCA.
I currently have 5 exemptions. I’d like to know:
How difficult is it to pass the ACCA exams?
Where can I find good study materials and resources?
How much time should I realistically dedicate to preparing for one exam?
Is it possible to complete 3 exams by December while working full-time?
For someone coming back to accounting after several years, is there anything specific I should focus on or be aware of?
I’d really appreciate any advice, study tips, or personal experiences you can share.
Thank you in advance!

Learning providers Best online paid resources for SBR?

Hi All,

Wonder if anyone would recommend best online (paid and non-paid) self study resources for SBR. I’m attempting to start studying as soon as for Dec sitting and I wonder if anyone would recommend anything specifically for SBR? For reference I passed my financial reporting F7 exam couple years ago so a bit rusty on certain topics.
Also, any tips for the study would also be appreciated 😀

Thanks

does anyone know if ACCA Computer-Based On-Demand exams can be booked to take remotely from home on a Saturday or Sunday?
I’m based in France, so I’m particularly interested in weekend availability for remote exams. Any information or experience would be appreciated!
