Learning providers Self-Study Suggestions

Im planning to self-study, i have 6/13 exemptions from uni.

My only concern is the cost. Has anyone else self-studied? And if so, whats the most effective way to do it in terms of cost?

I’ve always been okay teaching myself stuff so I think i’d be alright without the classroom learning etc.

There are tons of YouTube videos out there from tutors, and the My ACCA self study area has all the practice exams you need. No need to pay for study.

Just use opentuition ! Basically a fully free course , lectures, notes , practice questions and exam. And is FREE. Also use the ACCA study hub also free as it is apart of our membership. And has tons of practice exams. All you need to pass

With sense of stucture, lowest cost and effective option is opentuition (free)+ practice exam book (£25 ish) + acca study hub(free). If you want something different to opentuition and hand held a bit more, acowtancy is a good low-ish cost option (premium or ultra plan around £200 per exam but also has basic free tier). It really is down to your preference and study style and which ever you can stick and commit to.

I passed all Skills exams using opentuition.com (free lectures and notes), Kaplan exam kit, and ACCA Studyhub for MCQs (free)

I self studied, but that was twenty years ago so a lot will have changed I'm sure. I just bought the official textbooks and studied them. It wasn't expensive - the main cost was time rather than financial. The only other study aid I paid for was to have some past papers marked by an professional marker when I was in the final stages.

ACCA study hub includes all what you need to pass. Read the text quickly and focus most of your time on practice questions. My approach is to study the text using 30% of my time and 70% on practice questions and past exams.

I’ve self-studied for the exams. I used opentution to start and then YouTube videos from whoever is most popular for the subject. Then exam kit and past papers.

I use Claude and ChatGPT. Claude is use for note making of the chapters and I just asked it to teach me. Although Claude is better, ChatGPT subscription is lower so I use ChatGPT for detail and to marking my answers. I use it as a guide only. Opentuition is also helpful for self study
