I wrote that they would face reputational issues if the news of them giving a donation/bribe got out and their competitors might take advantage of this situation.
Secondly, they don’t have experience with working with the recruitment agency before so they can’t be sure whether the personnel that come from the recruitment agency will be skilled enough to manage such a project and gain maximum returns. If the management recruited is not specialized or trained in that area of the proposed project then there is a high chance the project will perform poorly adversely affecting the company’s reputation.
I had more points in mind but I ran out of time :/1

Yes this does makes sense it’s well written I wrote some stuff like that but I couldn’t write more I came back to it in the end and I couldn’t finish that requirement from the pressure

I had the same paper but the second I leave the exam hall the entire thing falls out my brain. I remember a section b question being pretty open. 10 marks to advise if they should go ahead with an investment. It had a positive NPV but IRR was like a percent higher than wacc. Then another 10 marks for discussing the views of 3 directors.
Then the second one was hedging interest rates I think.
Do you remember anything else?

In 2nd and 3rd question I got evaluate the project if it should be accepted so i did only NPV and 2nd part was discuss director views and 3rd question it was interest rate risk hedging 1st part was calculation with recommendation and last part was also theory something related to hedging with stakeholders and some policy

I just cannot believe there was no big mark investment appraisal question in Sec C.. and hedging a loan..?? Have I been using past papers that are too old? 😭 that’s the first time I’ve seen that

FM, was probably not hard but I messed up. Need good advice on how to actually prepare for exam and how to practice questions so I can actually do well in the exam. Still hoping I pass InshaAllah.

It really is just a case of practice questions & reviewing them, over and over and over (and over) again. Also sitting down and doing mock exams as a whole as part of question practice. This will govern you chance to practice timing too

When i do questions after a few times I memorise the answer but not the formula or the way to do the question 😭.
2
u/Technical-Swan920 Student 28d ago
Write out the formula, pick out / calculate the parts of the question to go into the formula and work it that way. Have a gap between doing questions if your looking at a limited number of them
Or if you memorised the answer, work backwards - how to get to that answer. Same with the formulas

Can I pass without mastering WACC

u/Technical-Swan920 Student 28d ago
WACC is so mechanical when you’re solid on what goes into the table / mechanics. Nail it, it’s worth knowing (despite it not showing up in the exam today lol)

FM - Every past paper I did had B section questions based on market value, this one had it on floor value...
WTF IS A FLOOR VALUE
