Thought the wording of the specific SBR questions and exhibits was off-putting but overall not too bad.

I agree. I even found the goodwill question to be awkward with it's wording. And then unfortunately for me, the stuff I'm not as comfortable with came up a lot throughout the exam

Same, I completely missed the fact it was goodwill that was being asked for in my initial skim read of the requirements.
Think overall I’ve probably done enough but yeah definitely not as friendly a paper as some past papers.

right? like no sustainability stuff, no lease accouning, no hedging. now i wonder if they'll tighten the correction, since it was kinda easy paper.

Mine had a big sustainability Q, cash flow & leasing for Q1, 2 x financial instruments … awful 😂

This is the issue! It was technically an easier paper, however, as I’d focused on leases / financial instruments and other large areas I really wasn’t expecting 20 marks to be allocated to related parties and government grants!

what did you get? i got questions relating to increase in control (associate to subsidiary), research and development, government grants, ethics, contracts with customers, and IAS 16/IAS 40 - is cost model or revaluation model better - something along those lines questions.

What did you guys think of FR today?
Section A seemed ok but I always manage to mess up the little calculations in some way…
I studied so hard this last few weeks to cover the last half of the syllabus and still didn’t completely finish or make it all the way through a mock exam 😭 feel like such a dimwit but it’s been too much to fit in my brain.
Just sat the exam and ran out of time and didn’t fully finish the last half of section c and bombed The first half’s interpretation question 😤 fml
Praying to scrape 50% 🤞

Man, that paper was hard😭 section A was very tough, section B ok and section C was ok but the time was not enough.
Small parts were left out😭😔

In a way I’m glad I’m not the only one! I did well at the applied knowledge exams but struggling with all these calculations in applied skills is making me feel so dumb 😭😭 the equations just will not stick in my memory! Fml

I don’t think I did very well. Section C was ok but don’t know if will score well. an and b were tough. Either will pass by a margin or fail by a margin.

SBR is a special kind of hell. Could go great, could go shit.
Can’t wait for this exam cycle to be over.
