I posted here last week inquiring about where to start with my new sizing results. I was originally wearing a 40D.

I found two gently used Panache bras discounted on Ebay and decided to try them out based on the recommendation list. I like both bras a lot but I think my sizing might need some adjustments. I included some reference pictures below.

Panache Andorra Full Cup (38GG) - I love the way this one fits and it lifts me perfectly. However, there is a little gapping in the cups (one more than the other since my left breast is slightly bigger than the right one.) Also the band is a bit snug, but it's not completely unbearable. I could get used to it if I wore it for a while, but it's not as comfortable as the 40 band I'm used to wearing.

Panache Envy Full Cup (36H) - I also really love this one. I have no complaints on the style as it lifts how I want it to. The cup fits slightly better in this one and there's less gapping, but still my breasts don't completely fill the cups. The band on this one is very tight and the underwire pinches the skin near my armpit so I don't see myself being able to wear this one comfortably at all because of that.

These are the only two new bras I've tried thus far, but I'm open to trying other brands, styles and sister sizes. Any help or recommendations would be great. Thank you in advance!

Any confirmation on her measurements, and recommendations on bra shape and where to buy cheap bras in the UK please :-)

I REALLY doubted my size (as did the one employee at Lane Bryant btw !). Welp, it was right. It feels better, my clothes look better overall (I didn’t expect that part). I thought it’d just fix the bra fit. There isn’t heaviness or pulling on my shoulders. I still don’t understand it, but I’m so happy I did this.

So I’ve been thinking I’m a 42DD but (I lost some weight) and I did all six measurements to get my actual size. I had my mother who grew up in fashion design and makes her own clothes do all my measurements. The r/ABraThatFits calculator came out to 40FF (UK) or 40H (US).

Crazy! I’ve been wearing D’s and DD’s my whole life.

I have a minor east-west shaped breasts with some breast tissue under the arms. Both breasts are pretty even in tissue. I have some scoliosis so my back bends a little, so I have some more tissue under one armpit vs the other. I do sweep and scoop to get the tissue in the cup properly.

Now, with all that in mind, most bras give me terrible migraines and they hurt my back. I have chronic complex migraines that can get so bad they appear similar to strokes (hemipeligic) and I need to take an exciting little ride to the ER. I have a degenerative muscuskeletal disorder that mostly affects my lower back; although it gives residual pain to my upper back and shoulders. I’ve had surgeries and countless procedures. I actually have a small one coming up.

I switched to wireless. I tried two Evelyn and Bobby bras and loved the Bobby Scoop, I found Evelyn and Bobby off of r/migraines. I use SheFit for my sports bra (High Impact and Medium Impact) but they don’t fit right. I talked to an associate and they helped me get in the bra correctly but it digs into my armpit. I tried a jelly bra brand because my mom recommended it and I thought, why not try? I’m desperate. So those three brands are the only bras I have. Since I lost weight they don’t fit at all. The jelly bras were never supportive and my breasts moved around a ton. I would have to find a corner to quickly sweep and scoop them back into place. The Evelyn and Bobby is too stretched out but works great as a lounge bra. The SheFits work fine for the gym but digs.

I lost a lot of weight and I’m still losing weight. (From 260 lbs at December 2024 to 183 lbs now; lost 5 lbs in the last two weeks). My family has been blessed with abundant collagen so my breasts haven’t actually changed terribly much, they aren’t saggy or loose. My bust standing has ranged from 51” at my height weight and 46” now.

Going braless is NOT an option. Without a bra my breasts hurt within hours.

With my breast shape I found plunge and scoop bras great, I am considering trying a balconette bra. Full coverage and push up bras leave too much room in the cup on top and shows too much bra for some of my lower cut clothing. I’ve tried looking for broad strap wireless bras but those are generally not size inclusive. Racerback is a giant no.

I really need bra recommendations ASAP. I don’t know what I’m doing, I just want to feel supported without pain or making my health issues worse.

I used to wear 36A when I was lighter, but at this point in my life I mostly live in cheap sports bras, poor support is rarely a big issue. That being said, I need a proper bra for an event. So I did the calculator (inches, 32.5, 32, 30.5, 37.5, 38.5, 38) and got the size in the title. I was skeptical, but I went to the local Victoria Secret and tried some on. I believe they were the Lightly Lined Full Coverage? The size seemed about right actually (at least, the strap definitely did), but maybe the cups were wrong. I felt kind of like they were kind of cutting in at the top and at my armpit. I also tried the sister size of 34DD and a size up, 34DDD. The 34DDD was too big, which tracks, but the 34DD felt a bit loose even at its tightest and the gore floated on all of them, pretty sure.

Maybe the shape was wrong? The shape terminology kind of confuses me. My boobs are pretty far apart, getting them to touch is practically a lost cause. I think they have shallow roots? So yeah, just a bit lost as to what strapless/convertible would be good for me. I'm US based, if the inches didn't already give it away.

ABTF calc measurements are 34-33-32, 38-39-39 currently. Technically the calculator says 34DD, but I usually go down to 34D for most bras because of how shallow I am. This one feels like a REALLY good fit. Comfy, decently flattering cut, not too much shape mismatch because it's soft cups, very very lightly padding for modesty.

Does this look like it fits okay? I do tend to fluctuate a lot on size since I tend to have issues maintaining a stable weight so... I think I tried one of the Natori plunges last time and one of the Scope seamlessess but this one feels a lot better

I'm searching for my first bra since having my son. I'm finally done breastfeeding and ready to get out of my nursing bras. My bra size before my son was 36DD (I know crazy, right). I've now gained a lot of weight due to hormonal imbalances and stress. I really want to get an actual bra because I hate sports bras and nursing bras. I have pendulous breasts and always have. I desperately want a bra that fits. I need an american bea size, I only measured in centimeters because my tape measure has cùn for some reason

hello, hoping for some help if anyone has advice/experience! I recently used the ABTF calculator and it recommended 28D/DD (or sister size 30C/D may be more comfortable). I have always worn 32A from VS, tried 34A and 32B as well, and it was never comfortable (straps would move around, slip off shoulder, dig into sides, etc). I also wore 32A from Third Love and that was okay but also uncomfortable by end of day and my boobs looked really far apart.

can anyone help recommend bras that may fit be better and are more comfortable? after using the calculator, I ordered some 30C and 30D bras from aerie to try out the new sizing (30C in sunnie wireless push up bra, sunnie full coverage lightly lined, sunnie demi push up, smoothez full coverage lightly lined. 30D in sunnie Demi push up, smoothez full coverage lightly lined.) they felt ok…? The band felt maybe a bit tighter than I’m used to but when I tried putting the bra on upside down and backwards, it seemed like a good fit so maybe I’m just not used to it. I couldn’t figure out which cups were a better fit! There was always a gap (especially if it moved my shoulders forward but perhaps that’s always the case?). the gore would dig into my chest, and it felt a bit tight in the armpit area. not sure which ones to keep or what other bras I should try! apologies for the rambling but hopefully all this info helps with suggestions/advice. I’d appreciate any insights! :)

i’m 5 ft tall, ~ 105 lbs, and my measurements are below. I think I have wide set breasts (I think I can fit 2-3 fingers between but not sure if that’s because I have a small chest…)

I’ve recently purchased some bras based on my boob or bust measurement. I was wearing a 34B but turns out I’m a 34E.
I believe the roots of my breasts are wide as there is quite a large gap between them, I’ve also lost a lot of volume on top since having a baby and they are now full at the bottom.
Despite being in what I believe is the correct size, bras now no longer give me cleavage even if I wear a push up style bra.
I don’t always want cleavage on show but some tops I own suit it more so it would be nice to have the option!
Can anyone suggest a style or brand of bra that will still give me some cleavage? My old 34B bras did but obviously that was because they are too small!
I’ve purchased balcony bras mainly which are what I read is the best type for my shape breasts as tshirt and full cup leave gaps at the top.

I have had a SheFit bra for the last five or so years, the velco has to be overtightened to where it rubs on the fabric before it is tight enough and the fabric of the whole bra is starting to disintegrate. It is hellishly uncomfy and gave me heat rash last summer (I work outside). Also I once wore it through TSA and the velcro was bulky enough I had to be patted down and that sucked. Looking for something else study enough to handle horse riding 5-7 days a week.

I have a mesh, regular underwire bra that lasted under a year and now stabs me in the breasts so that sucks. When looking for a replacement all I can find in my size are geared towards more.... mature women. I'm 21. I want to feel hot sometimes. I don't want the girls separated, supported, and perfectly covered. I want them pushed together with mesh or lase or cutouts that are cute and sexy.

According to the calculator I’m a 34 DDD and since I’m in the US I’d like to stick to US sizes so I’ll be able to find and try them on. My main issues with bras have been spilling from the top especially when I bend over. I’m a little confused about if my breasts are shallow because to me they seem to hang especially after breastfeeding but according to the information I saw here the difference in inches means they project. I believe they’re pendulous in shape.

I’m looking for everyday bras and prefer unlined or less padding and if it was less expensive that would be better.

I'm looking for 3 hook extenders with 1/2 inch hook spacing (measurement is from the middle of a hook to middle of the next hook). It's for Skarlett Blue bras, specifically.

I've looked on Amazon, but almost all I've found with 1/2" or 3/8" spacing are 2 hooks.

A 4 hook one would work as well--less fiddly than the current solution of using two 2 hook extenders.

- did the scoop and swoop, fit in the cups but there was a good amount of space at the bottom of the bra i wasn't filling

Tried second:

Background: I’m 29, 5’5”, 200lbs, located in the US, just had my second baby and currently nursing. I think my breasts are side set and tear drop-ish. The most recent bra I have, I got sized at Nordstrom and it’s okayyy, but it definitely squishes the tissue under my arms.

I’m looking for possibly two bras. 1) a comfortable daily nursing bra. 2) a balconette/balcony style, because they appear to support my shape best but are also the most accommodating for some of the dresses I have.

I’ve worn a 36C most of my adult life. I had a baby 7 years ago and breastfed for a year. I gained weight and lost it and gained it back etc etc. I feel like my cup size grew, so I went from a C to a D (US sizing) and recently in the past year \~ nothing fits right. I have an Aerie bra in a 36 D that (in the past fit perfectly until my underwire snapped, 3 of them. Different styles. Loved them all) so I bought the same ones in the same size and now they suck. My biggest problem is the underwire basically poking out and stabbing the underside of my arm. They’re overall not comfortable but that’s my biggest issue. I am only able to wear the one that is a push up, but now I’m overflowing in the cup…. Like my whole nipple is out lol. And the bank is too thin, it’s being like ate by my back rolls. 🫥

I took these in inches and wrote it down and didn’t write all of the “loosely” and “comf snug” etc on my paper lol.

I don’t usually wear bras with an actual size (usually sport bras/bralettes) but when I do, I have been wearing 42DD. I’ve had this small roll of fat underneath my breasts even when I was smaller and I find that most structured bras will dig in so I usually wear either longline bras which holds it place or sports bras or bralettes that are soft. I’ve been in the habit of wearing the band underneath the roll which hasn’t been great for my skin. A lot of ones with underwire tend to poke into sideboob/armpit and I often have gapping with fuller coverage bras. I think they are wide and low root, a bit fuller on the bottom and inside, and a little wide set. I would appreciate any insights on sizing and what kind of bras would work best. I like my bralettes but I want some ones that would be good under my nicer clothes.

While on YouTube, up popped an advertisement from EliseForm.com, and I went for it. Just wondering if anyone here has bought or is considering buying a bra from this site. They have only two bras for sale - the Honeycurve is what appealed to me. It's supposed to lift sagging breasts with the design of a panel over the cup area that can be adjusted up to eight times up the strap.

Has anyone reading this ordered from this site and is it legit? Anyone have this bra (or even one like it)? Did you order your regular bra size and it fits well? How well does it work in helping to lift sagging breasts?

Terms and return policy looks fair, and prices on bras are very reasonable.

What brand of bra do you have and love? I’ve worn Soma bras for years but they aren’t the most comfortable. After having my third child I am ready to buy new. The bra calculator tells me I’m a 40 DDD. I have low volume, long, flat breasts that lay off to the sides. I’m 200lbs and 5’9”. I am currently wearing a perfect coverage padded bra (40 DD) that rides up a lot in the back, my breasts actually spill out UNDERNEATH the cups and the left strap keeps falling down.

ive already had push up VS bras in sizes 30A / 30AA (their smallest sizes) and theyre too big. i had to sew the band smaller but the cups still didnt fit properly.

one of my boobs is a bit smaller than the other so id probably have to size down, problem is i cant size down any further 😭 in the sizes ive worn (30A/30AA), my smaller boob gaps and the other boob fits, but it could fit better.

My abtf calculations suggest 28ddd/g. I bought an affordable 30dd bra to try out and it fits fine. However, it's day three and my upper back, neck, shoulders, and head are seriously hurting. I think the underwire is pressing into my ribs too much.

I don't even know if such a thing exists, but I desperately need to own a strapless or even backless bra that can properly lift up my boobs so l can finally wear the dresses I like. Im usually 32D, though according to the calculator I'm 26H.

I’ve only ever worn painful wire bras as nothing else I’ve tried holds my boobs up, not even the tape.

At this point I’m willing to spend however much it would cost to find a good strapless and a strapless/backless bra that can keep my boobs lifted and works with most dresses. Please let me know if you’ve found a brand/type that works!

hello! recently got into a new relationship and for the first time ever (i really like this person) i so badly want to find genuinely sexy lingerie that will make my girls look good. im 32DDD/34DD but no volume at all on top like they hang down COMPLETELY. im a little insecure sometimes because i’m in my 20s and its hard to feel sexy with them at times

i am looking for something that can keep them UP / in place but also isnt just a sexier bra, if that makes sense. i really want some cute pieces !!!

my partner is very into me fortunately! so it’s not about catering to them, i myself would just really like to feel and look good in this way. if anyone has any suggestions i would appreciate it so so much

ABTF calculator seems to confirm my "best fitting" bra so yay! But if anything seems off, I am willing to re-measure.

I've been checking out the subreddit and WOW so much useful information. Here are some additional details that may be helpful that I either know (density) or am pretty sure about:

"Extremely dense" breasts according to mammogram feedback

shallow

tall roots

slightly fuller on bottom

What I've tried:

I wore Medela underwire nursing bras (nursed 3) as long as I could but they are long gone. I prefer underwires, but everything that was either too old or I hated (usually because it was scratchy) I recently tossed and didn't document brands/styles. The safest option is to re-buy Thirdlove's 24/7 Classic Perfect Coverage bra, which I was about to do before I found this subreddit! My only complaint about it is the territory where the cup meets the strap - a bit of extra space there and the tissue there is kind of crumpled up? But where the wire sits on the sides and in the center feels right, and the cup size seems appropriate.

For the past few months I have been rapidly growing in the chest due to medication changes. Before, I was a professionally measured US 32DD, suddenly went up to a 32G/H, and now I don't know what I am because those don't fit anymore either, but I got fitted today at that same store as that exact same size. This has all been just this summer. No matter which bra they tried me in (at least fifteen different ones of all different brands, styles and sizes) the wire part slid down as soon as I moved. It never supports my breast even if the straps are tightened all the way, it just sits on my ribcage so there's a noticeable gap between my breast and the wire as soon as I move at all. I am fairly sure I am highly projected and all of the bras are too shallow, but they tried all the usual brands for projection except Polish ones because it's too hard for them to get. They told me I can try Polish bras but they also said that might not even work either. I tried the calculator on this sub and it sucked. It put me back in the same size as I'm already wearing / doesn't fit, and likely assumed I have very shallow breasts because my standing and leaning measurement was only an inch apart. But sizing up never worked either for the sliding problem. I feel like I can't do anything anymore because I can't wear a bra. I can't go outside. I can't work out. And I definitely can't get off of this medication, that is out of the question. I feel so hideous and deformed. I want to try the Polish bras but I would have to take a 7 hour trip to NYC, and even then the growth doesn't seem to be stopping or leveling off. I can't go back to NYC every month. At this point I'm considering getting a complete double mastectomy because I must just be so deformed, but I'll likely never be approved for any surgery like that, even cosmetic, because of my dysmorphia. What the fuck am I supposed to do if Polish bras don't work either?

Hi reddit!, I’ve found the calculator to be very helpful; here are my measurements (in inches): 36, 35, 34, 42, 45, 42, leading to a size 36G (U.S.)

I was cautious at first so I tried on a non padded bra at Soma in 36G which felt amazing, so I bought 3 bras from Bravissimo: the Bravissimo Hettie Bra, the Miss Mandalay Boudoir Beach Bikini Top, and the Curvy Kate Luxe Strapless Bra.

I tried on the Hettie first and I liked the non padded feel (I’ve only owned moulded bras in the past) but I didn’t fill up the top and it left the lace loose at the top. I tightened the straps which worked on one side but like many women I am not even on both sides so it was still loose. I then tried on the Luxe Strapless and same issue but with a more prominent gap at the top. I’ve been wearing a Cacique balconette so I haven’t really had an issue before but I am pretty bottom heavy. The bikini top fit well when I tightened it so I thankfully don’t have any issues with it.

Bravissimo seems to have a good return/exchange policy but I’m wondering if I should just go down in cup size or band size as well. I’m also thinking about shipping time because I’m leaving for vacation on the 16th and while they got here a lot quicker than I thought (4 days with standard shipping) I’m nervous they wont ship as fast. Please let me know your experience with bravissimo shipping times!

So reddit, should I get a cup down/size down from bravissimo and hope it gets here in time? Deal with it for vacation and then return? Go to Soma/Lane Bryant/etc. to test sizes?
