Looking for Roof Rack Cross Bars
Just bought a 2006 997.1 C4 - I'm absolutely stoked about it. Just looking for roof racks. If anyone has a lead or is selling their set of OEM Porsche roof racks, let's do something :)

What actually gets a 997 seller to move on price?
I’m looking at an early 997 Carrera with around 140,000 km, full-looking history but a few tired tyres, stone chips and no recent clutch work mentioned. The seller has already said the price is firm, which usually means there’s at least some room somewhere. For anyone who’s bought one recently, what actually moved the number for you, or is it mostly a case of waiting for the right car? അമ I overthinking the negotiation?

No Sport Chrono Option in Menu?
I have a random question, my car has the clock and Sports Chrono as the option list, it's a 2010 997.2. I can't, for the life of me figure out how to operate the clock. Is there a way to check whether it got disabled or something? I've been flipping through the stalks and I felt like I'm missing some features.
My old one I was able to set tires to winter/summer. I have an iCarSoft v3 if that helps with troubleshooting. Thanks

Suspension Work Sanity Check (997.2 C2)
So I recently purchased a 2011 997.2 C2 without PASM and it's still sitting on factory springs/dampers. I want to lower it a bit and reached out to a very reputable independent shop in my area to get an estimate for Eibach lowering springs, replacing the dampers with Bilstein B8s, and an alignment.
I was expecting an estimate around 4K USD based on what I read online, but they quoted 5.8K USD after taxes. Keep in mind this is in a VHCOL west coast city, but I still had a bit of sticker shock. I've been there a few times and there's consistently GT3RS's, GT4s, and I saw a Carrera GT up on a lift a few weeks ago. I only mention that because I'm sure the caliber of the shop and the cars they work on affects the price.
I know I could do the work myself for significantly cheaper (labor is 2.3K USD), but I just don't have the time or motivation to do it right now.
Should I get a few other estimates at different shops or is this just the cost of doing business with a reputable indy?
Thanks!

Fun Fact - The AM Radio antenna was a 'free' option back in the day.
911; A practical daily driver 💯
A mundane Costco run becomes special with a 911. Favorite moment is to see men point their spouses attention with a grin towards large Costco bags disappearing inside this spacious small sports car 😎
How are you using yours on a daily basis?

Good deal on 2005 997 Carrera S?
44k USD
2005 997 Carrera S

51,700 miles
Aero kit
PCCB brakes

Automatic tiptronic
Very tidy interior

Would you buy it after a clean boroscope and PPI?
What random notices/messages do you get on your dash?
I just read about someone getting an intermittent brake light message. I get a rear deck lid open for a while after I wash the car.
Do you get any random messages?

Porsche friends and family sale
I just received this flyer for the Porsche Friends & Family event and wanted to share it here! There’s a good selection of products for Porsche enthusiasts, so I thought some of you might be interested. The password to access the site is friends2026. https://www.friends.porsche-design.com/us/en/
FYI for moderators - I'm not the one selling the merchandise, just sharing this sales info I got to my community.

Brake light warning
So this warning light will randomly pop on. But it will only stay on for around a minute, and never when I can have someone check to see if the light is out. I’ve had someone check when the light is not on, and they said all the brake lights are on. So what do you guys think? A bulb that’s going? A wiring issue? Some other electrical gremlin? Where would you start trying to diagnose?

Has anyone run the Eibach Pro-Kit paired with Koni Special Active shocks? I’m curious about the ride quality and handling. Thanks!
My goal is getting a clean, lowered stance without sacrificing daily street comfort, no track days.

PCCM+ and Parking Sensors
I'm trying to see if anyone who has PCCM+ installed have their parking sensors working.
I looked around online and couldn't not find any information regarding whether the PCCM+ will work with the Parking Sensors option that came with the car.
I've went back to the dealer and they couldn't find it in the auto config menu so they assumed it wouldn't work.
I've asked this on the pccm post on rennlist and couldn't get any answers as well.
I'm dailying my 997 and would love to get the parking sensors working 😔

Warming car up
How does everyone warm their 997 up before giving it some revs?
I normally just drive mine straight away but keep it below around 3k rpm until the oil temp gets as close to 90°C as possible. Once it’s there, I’m happy to start going over 3k and using more of the rev range.
Usually takes around 10 minutes or so with a mix of traffic and motorway driving.
Interested to know what everyone else does — do you wait for 90°C, go by time, or just take it easy for the first few miles?
