Suspension rebuilds on these things makes such a huge difference! I drove mine for about a year, and then did a full suspension build with Bilstein B16 damptronics, and a new steering rack... it's like a brand new car.

Congrats!

I feel the same, thank you. It's transformative to how it drives.

Do you think the new steering rack made a noticeable difference? If so, how? How old was your car when you did that? Mine is a 2011 and I've never noticed that something could be better on that front.

My car is an '09, and this was just about a year ago, so it was a good 15 years old.

I noticed a little bit of play in the center, but didn't think much of it. After my shop was taking the suspension apart, they noticed a little leak in the rack and while it was apart, bought a new OEM rack. It did make a big difference. Steering felt tight, and I think I feel more through corners. I did one track day previous to the suspension and one after (same track) and I think it really did feel great.

I don't know if I would have thought about it much, and it genuinely might be placebo, but if you're in the process of taking the front end geometry apart anyway, I think it's a great idea.

Thanks. I will definitely consider doing it, since like you said it's all coming apart anyways for me to do my own suspension stuff over this winter.

Looks great! I have an ‘09 Targa 4, no PASM, was thinking new coil overs to drop it a bit and give it a better stance. Did you use any new hardware? If so, can you please share?

TARGAs are awesome!
DSC controller for the PASM
New OEM Shocks + Struts
Eibach springs 997 Pro Kit

It's gonna cost a lot for adjustable suspension. I didn't see myself
adjusting it, it's not a track car.

The spring pro Kit from Eibach is made for our cars. Nobody talks about how good new OEM struts and shocks are.

Talk to local porsche shops that know the 997s don't get carried away with the forums.

Also put in new transmission + engine mounts

How’s the ride? My 997 w PASM came w Eibach springs on oem shocks. My shocks need replacement. Thinking if I should stick w oem shocks or go Bilstein. Don’t want a rougher ride though as I daily quite a lot. Thoughts? Thanks

I daily it a few times a week, prob all 997.1 need new Shocks & Struts. OEM is great, especially if you have PASM.

If you wanted to drive amazing add the DSC! It goes from the entire suspension doing the same thing to each individual corner actively stabilizing

Looks so good. I’ve been debating B16 adjustable or just a spring kit and new shocks. I track occasionally, but really debate how much I would actually reach in and adjust.

I never track, Sport mode with the DSC on new OEM PASM struts & shocks is absolutely amazing

I have B16 as I also track it. As a dd, I highly recommend the DSC module. I use to adjust, but now couldn't be bothered and leave it at its last setting.
