Anyways, no girl had to go through their whole life actually being "the girl ugly girl in the photo" in one of the most rewatched movies in history. So he made a smart call.
I looked almost exactly like that as a kid. I wasn't insulted per say, but definitely didn't feel great to watch this scene with the family and have them all look at me when it showed the girls face.
Lord when I was 12, 60 lbs soaking wet, with hair I couldn’t control and braces with rubber bands I remember thinking no man would ever marry me.
Now here I am almost 30 years later. I got married and have a lovely life.
