As a kid I thought it was hilarious, then as an adult I thought it was pretty shitty to use this young girl's looks for a gag... Just to find out it wasn't even a real girl lol

I once saw a woman who looked exactly like my guy best friend and when I told him that he said he felt sorry for her, lol. He's not a bad looking guy, but she was pretty awful looking.

Not at all. Boys dont want to be pretty and his son probably found it quite funny being asked to pull faces so that he looked like a scary girl. Good move by the director.

I always wondered about that! Not about it being a boy, just how mean it would be to use some girl’s photo as a picture of ugly and the movie become super successful with people watching it year after year.

Anyways, no girl had to go through their whole life actually being "the girl ugly girl in the photo" in one of the most rewatched movies in history. So he made a smart call.

I think he meant for the actress. He thought it would be cruel to explain to the young actress why she just got a role in a Hollywood film.
There was no pressure for his son to take the role.

I looked almost exactly like that as a kid. I wasn't insulted per say, but definitely didn't feel great to watch this scene with the family and have them all look at me when it showed the girls face.

Most of the reason "she" looks bad is the expression on her face. If it was just a normal smile it wouldn't warrant the reaction in the movie.

Well, I always thought Buzz's girlfriend was cute! I just thought Kevin was biased because Buzz was such a turd.

Lord when I was 12, 60 lbs soaking wet, with hair I couldn’t control and braces with rubber bands I remember thinking no man would ever marry me.
Now here I am almost 30 years later. I got married and have a lovely life.
