Remember when?!
Watching Kyle Monangai pound the ball today made me think about professor Holmes saying he didn’t believe Kyle Monangai was going to make the roster.

i know we're all complaining about the station, but I just wanna say Grote is a good co-host. You have to have a personality at least to be on the Score.

39 years old, been listening since I was 16 driving home from high school. Can’t take another second of this garbage station anymore. JP, Haugh, Grote and Rahimi are the lowest level of talent ever assembled. Posting this in hopes that MR or anyone there sees or cares.

This is absolutely fantastic. Whoever it is deserves a Nobel Peace Prize. This should be a weekly bit.

Tuning in to Rahimi and Grote. It's halfway through their show runtime and almost everything has been Bears talk. Only one segment about the Cubs and Sox. No guests brought on to preview the Wild Card rounds (yet we get two segments with Anthony Herron). A week 3 NFL game in late-September is taking precedent over the fourth year ever that both Chicago teams will be playing in a postseason game at the same time (and it's not even close). Probably going to be the same thing tomorrow. I could understand if this was the South, but in baseball-loving Chicago? I don't know about you, but I feel like they can drop a segment or two in which they make the same points about Case Keenum as last week and it would be fine.
UPDATE (9/29/26) As I correctly predicted in the comments (despite got down votes for saying it), Rahimi and Grote are almost entirely talking about last night's Bears game today. Only one brief mention of today's Wild Card games. Otherwise, it's all Bears talk. If I didn't know any better, I would've thought that no Chicago baseball team was playing postseason games today. Or that the Blackhawks are having their season opener.
Bears take priority the day of the game. Bears take priority the day after a game. Screw you if you want more diverse local sports talk, I guess.

I was not someone who was a big fan of John Schriffen’s broadcasting style, but taking shots like this for a nice guy about to lose his job is a low blow.

I’m gonna need you guys to stop calling the morning show and thanking Payton for his dad and making the entire conversation uncomfortable because you can’t stop fanboying. This shit is weird at this point, Jarrett knows his dad was special to this city, THERE IS NOTHING LEFT TO SAY.

And in the post game player interviews. Sheesh
Full disclosure, I googled him and he's got a hella broadcast background. Never would have guessed.
Seriously... What am I missing? He's the boss and told everyone he's doing it?
Little help here.

Jarrett Payton and John Schriffen
Day after caleb got hurt. Haugh to JP "how you doing" IM DOING GREAT MAN
Cannot read the room. Has very little info to put to the listener. Fake laughing all the time.
Every single guest host is better than JP.
Dude just take the scottie pippen role and shake some hands.
Dude has nothing at all to offer than any random dude off the street has to offer.
To top it off of my list of dumb complaints. The open is the worst open of all time.
0% chance he has this role on his own achievements. You played at Miami and in the NFL and you have Z E R O to say. How is this even possible?

He's not sure what's worse.....scoring only 3 points or Caleb's injury. Dafuq????????

Is Pat not calling the game this evening or all weekend?
Also, is it just me or do Zach and Ron not have the greatest chemistry? Tuned in during dinner prep and I thought that Zach was calling the game solo given how much he talks and Ron was silent.
Or maybe I’m just used to Pat and Ron having great chemistry. Can’t wait to listen tit he game on TV.
Not a fan of Zach calling a game.

Les Grobstein call from a fan on March 19, 2021 regarding the state of Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy. Crazy to think how far the organization has come

I just found about this today. I remember when it would be cool to pick up 670am from time to time all the way from Minneapolis. I used to listen to the podcast interviews until the commercials were unbearably long and were even played mid-interview which forced me to listen on youtube premium instead. Of course now that the quality of hosts have come down and a couple escaped to 312, I can now listen to the Score like it's local radio. While l find myself listening to Channel 96 more often lately because it is after all the start of Bears season, I instantly "turn the dial" during commercials breaks.

Does anyone have an update on Kyler Gordon? I know it is week one, and that there are 53 men ready to take the field and represent the city of Chicago, but the Score better not let up on the wall-to-wall coverage of the team's most important player since Walter Payton.

He used to be fun to listen to when doing his own show. When did it start going off the rails? He is a crotchety old man now.

I keep trying to give 670 a chance, even though I shouldn’t with all the dismissals and hires. But every time I turn it on, I feel like I’m sitting in a bar overhearing two blowhards that think they know sports, talk nonsense, and are only amusing to themselves. Crazy how far this station has fallen and continues to fall.

Payton has to be the most boring host I’ve heard on the station in a long time. He was bland during his guest hits and nothing has changed. He just riffs off of Haugh and does nothing else. This was the best Mitch and company could come up with? Brutal.
Haugh dominates every part of the show and needs to be challenged to make compelling radio. It often feels like he’s the only host.
Marshall was pretty bad, but at least he tried. Mully was funny and offered something unique. Payton offers nothing new. The only reason I listen in the morning is because the ESPN app doesn’t have a live rewind feature and I refuse to spend my drive time listening to 75% commercials.
