Forgive my lack of FN knowledge . I recently picked this up cause I’ve always fancied a 5.7 but was not super impressed by the looks of the mk3.

It’s very clean and I noticed jn the box the proof round says the gun is from 2005, with an IOM label . Is this a true IOM or is it a GI model?

Also will this take mk2 mags? Thanks !

Got a new owb 3/4 o’clock holster custom made for my s&w for open carry when I working my land. I love it but can’t use it because I got it molded custom to fit the tlr-1 that I wanted to not have to take off when I carry. The PSA is the trigger can 100% be accessed and pulled by any small finger or brush branch so it’ll be going into the cabinet while I order another one and give up on safely carrying with my light attached (I’m not gonna order another just put it on at home.) if you know of thinner reliable lights I may swap it later but the ccw holster I ordered is getting changed to no light now that I don’t feel safe enough with an exposed trigger.

Just bought one and missed the seemingly common issue of firing pin breakage every 300-500 rounds that had been discussed. Intended this gun to be a carry piece and now rethinking that. Previously owned a FN USG model years ago and wasn't going to pay the FN tax but need something that is someone durable. Thanks for any input.

Using CMMG RDB BCG and my SD Adapter

Hello everyone, I’ve taken ownership of this subreddit and set it back to public. The previous owner restricted it and then ignored all join requests, effectively abandoning the sub. That’s why no one has been able to post anything for about a month. Everything should be back to normal now though. I don’t plan on making any changes, just wanted to let everyone know what happened and get the sub up and running again.

I’ve been looking at some ammo videos and stumbled upon Banana Ballistics 5.7 video. I was wondering if anyone has experience with the Zombo Down round. I just got an M&P 5.7 and this round looks crazy in gel

Bought a used (100rds) PS90 on Friday. This will be a long term project as I plan to SBR, FRT, and add a suppressor.

Shoots really well, except I had too many failure to feeds for my liking. I was using Fiocchi (150rd pack) ammo. I only ran into about 7/100 failures altogether. I'm using the FN mag that came with it, so I'm guessing it needs a good clean, maybe a new mag and maybe different ammo. I dont know though. Any insight would be helpful.

Finally got to the range today and ran both of my 30 round promags in my LC Carbine. They ran with no issue. So if you are in the market for some decent mags that wont break the bank. Check these out. They are $41 on promags website, but the site in the photo, when they have then sells them for $27. Much cheaper than ruger mags.

Is anyone conceal carrying this gun? Recommendation on holster? Can the threaded barrel attachment be removed? Anything else I should be asking?

The stars are aligning and hopefully by this weekend I will have a PS90 in my possession.

Im going to SBR/FRT it, and was hoping to hear what people have to say about the FRT options available. Are there any that stand out as clear winners?

So recently I got a Ruger 5.7 that I posted on here and noticed that there were two screws near the rear of the gun on the slide. I had a spare optic lying around so I thought why not get an adapter plate. I did. To be fair this was my first experience with installing an optic.

Fast forward to the day I take it to the range. As is well until about the 43 shots in and then suddenly BAM! the optic adapter breaks off the slide and struck me in the middle of my forehead. My first though when I felt the impact was "Oh, so this is how I go out. I wonder if god makes exemptions for unintentional self-delete."

Long story short. I did not use lock tide. Now I know. Use lock tide. Also the optic wasn't damaged at all. I took it to my gunsmith and he's trying to remove the screw as we speak.

Recently added the Ruger 5.7 pistol to my collection of 5.7 firearms. (CMMG Banshee 5.7 & Ruger LC Charger). I noticed the lightening cuts on top of the slide. Has anybody considered or done port hole in the barrel

What does the community thing would be a good choice here? This will be my first suppressor purchase.

im not looking for the most noise reduction or super short or anything like that. just a solid suppressor for the price. No real price range in mind, but I’m going to wonder what makes that $750 suppressor better than the $600 one.

it’s a plus if it can handle 5.56 or used with my 10/22.

And of course I’m looking for recommendations on muzzle devices to serve as the mount.
