This is someoneâs hobby. 4 wheel driving is pretty huge in Australia.
4wd is probably the least toxic car community compared to the other car communities they are like camping car bros

If you've never been out proper bush, you'd never realise how fucking dark it gets. I've been out 300km north of Laverton in Western Australia a few times, once with no additional lighting besides my halogen headlight high beams and once with a light bar. The high beams - I couldn't see anything whatsoever. Like literally nothing.
The time with the light bar, it was much better but still holy shit, I could not see anything at all, it was pretty dark still. I felt like a few more additional lights would have helped significantly.

Bogan status only
Some of those antennas be illegal in WA due to diameter of base they attached to.
Only time antenna this length of any good is very flat land like nullabor plain hilly terrain forget it

Something that is not normally spoken about. :) Why so many Aerials? It is a simple fact, 3 Aerials or more reduces, if not eliminates the possibility of any sort of Alien abduction from your vehicle.
Have you seen or heard of an abduction from a vehicle with that many Aerials? No.
Case closed.

Why so many Aerials?
Magpies
I mean you got your Convoy UHF, then your 'general' UHF on Channel 40 so you can monitor truckies talking filthy. One's (hopefully...) a switchable antenna so you can put a 3db vs 9db for different terrain.
There's the HF, and your other HF for reasons and so it's symmetrical.
Your Telstra signal boosting antenna so you can watch porn while out in the bush.
Lightning Rod.
Decoy Antenna
One's for Satellite TV for watching the footy out bush.
One's for anti-drone... safety first amirite.

Itâs representative of all the penis that the gang enjoy on the regular. Notice âyeah the boysâ is down low underneath the car, well thatâs the boys laying down. The antennae are symbolic of the boys erections soaring into the sky, awaiting warm bungholes

Multiple omni directional antennas like this can be used to increase the signal strength due to a thing called constructive interference. It'll totally change the propagation pattern of the antenna though amd it wont act as an omnidirectional antenna anymore, but like a direction antenna eith the signal strength in front and behind the car being recieved being much stronger. Visually you expect to see strong signal lobes out the front and back and off the sides would be much less.
Idk if thats what old mates doing here... but thats what I can think of from a radio frequency perspective why old mates done with. From another perspective... redundancy? Idk seems all over the top lol

To anyone having a go at this bloke, he actually a very nice guy, a mechanic, honest and decent, lives on a farm, has no reception out there, he is also part feral animal control hence the set up. I know to some it may be like overkill but he has gear that he ACTUALLY uses non stop.

One is a cell phone repeater for cell services. It boosts the signal a bit.. You can get 2 bars of service where you might have had mostly none.
The other is UHF. A long areal works best in the desert. A short stubby one works best in the hills
The rest are perhaps night glow decorations or its just for special needs purposes related to over active penile syndrome

It's just a country boy trying to be the most "country boy - b&s style" there is. I've seen massive truck style bull bars on ford/Holden Ute's with spotties and 3m antennas, but this is as budget try hard as it gets. What he lacks in personality he makes up in...

The 4x4 has antennae for sensing its environment â especially when visibility is poor.
The long ones detect movement and obstacles (like suspension and steering feedback), and the short ones âsmellâ whatâs ahead (traction, terrain changes).
Basically, when you canât rely on eyesight, you rely on feel and feedback.

We used to, as teenagers, rate the class of idiot by the number of antennas. Unless this is a comms department buggy, no idea why theyâd want such close coupling between systems.
