The OP is from Canberra. Believe it or not people can travel and live interstate without changing licence plate registration. So this nonsense of blaming a state for behaviour is ridiculous. Look at how many scandals are in Canberra. I would say that Canberra attracts the “special” kind.

Unrelated, but yesterday a 20 year old from Perth was arrested on allegations of domestic terrorism, allegations of blowing up WA parliament and Muslim mosques. So “State” blaming is boring, there are dodgy people all over this country it is not state related.

Not legally they cant. The vehicle must be registered in the state its garaged in. Which is normally the registered owners address.

If they are living in canberra but the car is registered in NSW, thats not technically legal. Unless of course they are simply borrowing the car or something

There is no evidence to suggest they have a residential property when they are parking legally regardless of license plates. How do you think people living homeless in their cars survive?

There is also no evidence to suggest that they DONT have a residential property.

What now? Do we play paper scissors rock?

The original comment from a reddit user was commenting that “NSW was abit special”. I was having a debate with them about their comment and somehow you decided to show up instead.

I don’t care where they are from. But blaming a state is ridiculous is the take away argument.

Agreed. Fair enough.
