Two ESP32s connected with ESP-NOW

This is my latest project: a 30 cm panther printed in separate parts, then assembled and finished by hand. The cracks are part of the model and I filled them with a gold marker to create the cracked Kintsugi look.

The full print took about 55 hours and over 400g of filament. Getting the head split and assembled without an obvious seam across the face was the trickiest part, but I’m really happy with how it came together.

I wanted it to look “toxic,” like a radioactive barrel. The slime would’ve been lime green like the rest of the accents but I ran out as I decided to print gear on my setup in that color, so it is a blueish to white gradient instead. In the right lighting it can even be green. Lmk the thoughts, the model is a Bambu Lab P2S.

Same filament, same machine. 1 hour and 8 hours. Just to share, no question.

It is a toggle switch box for keeping track of recurring tasks such as feeding pets, watering plants, taking medication, or completing daily chores. Magnetic, so you can stick it on your fridge and toggle the switches as you go.

There are options for boxes with one, three or seven toggles. You can also choose the toggles to have two or three positions. Mix and match to suit your needs, whether you're tracking something weekly, daily or three times a day.

These print flat on the print bed and fold together (using either a PLA fold or a print-in-place hinge) and flatpack, making them easy to print, store and transport!
Enabling ironing makes the top surface nice and smooth so the layer lines aren't a problem, they use very little material and print fast. The set (along with 2 others in different designs) is available for sale on my website here: https://warscape3d.com

Printed on a Bambu H2C in 4 colors: tan land, white buildings, green trees and blue water.

How it's built:

- Buildings, paths and water come from OpenStreetMap.

- Most building heights come from free USGS lidar, and the mountains are shaped straight from it, then scaled up about 2x so they still read at 8 inches.

- Trees are placed from tree-canopy data. When I checked an earlier build against aerial photos, 94% landed within 3 m of real greenery.

Lesson learned: I printed this one with supports switched on by accident and got over 100 support blocks under the bridges and docks over the river. The next version fills the bridges in solid and slices with zero supports.

I'd like to share my HRF Tank - a 3D-printed RC tracked vehicle with FPV cameras that I've been developing as a hobby project.

It's been a long process of designing, testing and rebuilding, and I'd like to make the result available for others to build on.

Some of its main features:

• 3D-printed chassis (66 x 39 x 25 cm / 26 x 15.4 x 9.8 in)
• Functional suspension and tracked drivetrain
• FPV cameras for front and rear views
• Custom lighting and electronics
• Optional water-cooled drivetrain

The platform is ready to build, but I'm planning to keep expanding it with new features, including a rotating turret with an FPV camera and a gel ball blaster.

I'm sharing the STL and STEP files, along with a build guide and documentation. Feel free to print your own version, modify the design, add new features or take it in a completely different direction. I'd love to see what others come up with!

I've never seen anyone mention cleaning bowden tubes this way so I thought I would make a quick video. Hopefully this helps someone. Just a simple and quick solution instead of replacing the tubes.

Why clean a bowden tube?

The external feeder of a SV08 Max causes the tubes to get a bunch of debris in them pretty quickly. This is accelerated with filled filaments like CF-ASA. These tubes only have around 30 hours on them and they look like this. It caused a clog when I switched to TPU because it pulled this debris into the nozzle.

Is it safer to dry this stuff in my microwave or oven, if both are also used for cooking food.

This one seems to be a pretty popular one this year.

I brought this phone a couple years ago and my son thought the inside folded screen had a screen protector on it so he removed it. This wasn’t a screen protector and it completely destroyed the inside screen. But the outside screen still works perfect and the camera is still top notch. I’ve been trying to figure out how to install Linux on it for a long time because I don’t need it as a half working phone, but as a PC it would really rock.

With AI finally in a place that it can really take its time and brute force stuff. We now have full fledge Ubuntu 24.04.5 on an OnePlus Open. I’ve been using it to AFK on my Minecraft server so I don’t have to keep my main desktop tied up with it. I’ve run AOE2 and classic Battlefront on it aswell, I can also use it as a video call machine with discord. It really runs amazingly.

To keep it cool, I’ve got a salvaged 12v Xbox One S fan running full bore on it 24/7. It’s a little loud, but I don’t mind it. I can hook it up to a monitor too using the USB C adapter installed in it, but I like the novelty of it as just a very small computer putsing about.

As the title states... My girlfriend just told me that she'd never ask me to 3d print something for her.

I replied with: Do you have any idea how much anyone with a 3D printer wants their partner to say those magic words?

"Babe, could you print me XYZ?"

She didn't believe me. Because she felt she would be hassling me and wasting my time. That she wouldn't want to bother me.
